US behind Israel’s hostile actions: Iran’s president

Masoud Pezeshkian

Pezeshkian accused the US of being the responsible for Israel’s actions towards Iran.

“Although they initially tried to conceal their role, after the decisive and deterrent response of our country’s armed forces and the observation of the Zionist regime’s [Israel’s] obvious inability, they inevitably came to the fore,” he said, referring to the US.

He added despite the losses suffered by the country, it was now time to set aside differences and “activate the great capacities of the people”.

The US attacked three key nuclear facilities early Sunday in an operation Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear ambitions, though a full impact assessment is ongoing.

President Donald Trump warned in a White House address that the US will launch more attacks if Iran does not make peace.

IRGC vows response to US strikes on nuclear sites in ways beyond its calculations

US Attack Iran

In a statement on Sunday, the IRGC said the US, in full coordination with the Zionist regime, carried out “a military and illegal strike on the peaceful nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“This action is a clear violation of the UN Charter, international law, the NPT treaty, and the fundamental principles of respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” read the statement.

The IRGC said the US had, from the beginning, provided comprehensive support and cooperation to the Israeli regime in “planning and executing its aggression.”

“Once again, this act has exposed the inability of the aggressor front to create real change in the field. They lack both the initiative and the capacity to escape devastating retaliation,” it added.

The statement further noted that the “repeated failures” of American policies reflect its “strategic incompetence and its disregard for the ground realities of the region.”

“Instead of learning from past setbacks, Washington, by directly attacking peaceful facilities, has now placed itself squarely at the forefront of the aggression,” the IRGC said.

The statement said the departure points of the aircraft involved in the aggression have been identified and are under surveillance, thanks to the comprehensive intelligence of Iran’s armed forces.

“As we have repeatedly emphasized, the number, dispersion, and scale of US military bases in the region are not a source of strength but a major vulnerability,” it warned, stressing that the indigenous and peaceful nuclear technology “will not be eliminated by any attack” but such acts of aggression only “strengthen the determination of our young and committed scientists to pursue greater progress and development.”

The IRGC said it will never be intimidated by the “bluster of Trump or the criminal gangs ruling the White House and Tel Aviv.”

“In response to this aggression and criminality, Operation True Promise III—of which the Zionists have already endured 20 waves—will continue with precision, force, and purpose, targeting the infrastructure, strategic centers, and interests of the Zionist regime.”

“Furthermore, today’s aggression by the terrorist US regime has granted the Islamic Republic of Iran, within the framework of its legitimate right to self-defense, the option to respond in ways that go beyond the delusional calculations of the aggressor alliance. Those who have violated this land must now await responses that will bring deep regret.

The US aggression against Iranian nuclear sites was reported in the early hours of Sunday, announced by US President Donald Trump himself on his social media platforms.

In response, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) condemned the aggression on the country’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz.

The agency said the three nuclear sites operate under the full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the “brutal assault” on them violates international law.

The AEOI said the aggression was carried out “under the indifference—or rather the complicity—of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

“The international community is expected to condemn this lawlessness based on jungle rules and to stand with Iran in asserting its legitimate rights,” read the statement, adding that the organization assures the great Iranian nation that despite enemy’s sinister conspiracies, it will not allow the progress of this national industry to be halted.

“The organization has placed on its agenda all necessary actions to defend the rights of the noble Iranian people, including legal follow-up measures.”

Iran UN Mission urges UNSC emergency meeting following US attack

US Attack Iran

The mission said in the letter that in the early hours of 21 June 2025 (local time), the United States, acting in full coordination with the Israeli regime, which at the time was already bombarding Iranian civilians and vital infrastructure, carried out deliberate, premeditated, and unprovoked aerial strikes against three safeguarded Iranian nuclear sites and facilities: Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan.

It said the unprovoked and premeditated acts of aggression, followed the large-scale military attack conducted by the Israeli regime, a non-NPT party, which possesses undeclared, unsafeguarded nuclear capabilities, maintains a stockpile of nuclear weapons, and has a notorious record of attacking peaceful nuclear facilities across the region and further perpetrated by the United States, the only Member State ever to have used nuclear weapons in war.

It added that undoubtedly, the United States’ military aggression against sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran constitutes a manifest and flagrant violation of international law and the peremptory international norms enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, and the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), IAEA General Conference Resolutions, and Security Council Resolutions 487 (1981) and 2231 (2015) and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

It concluded that in light of the grave and far-reaching consequences of the United States’ savage and criminal actions for international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran urgently requests the Security Council to convene an emergency meeting without delay to address this blatant and unlawful act of aggression, to condemn it in the strongest possible terms, and to take all necessary measures under its Charter-mandated responsibilities that the perpetrator of such heinous crimes is held fully accountable and does not go unpunished.

The statement said the strike included the use of both long-range liquid and solid-fuel missiles.

The twentieth wave of the operation “True Promise 3” came just hours after the United States announced it has struck three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Iranian armed forces have carried out 20 phases of True Promise 3 so far, targeting strategic and sensitive military and intelligence sites in the occupied territories.

These operations are in response to the ongoing Israeli aggression that has claimed the lives of more than 400 Iranians since June 13, including military commanders, scientists, university professors, athletes, school students etc.

UN watchdog says no increase in radiation levels at Iran nuclear sites

IAEA

“Following attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran – including Fordow – the IAEA can confirm that no increase in off-site radiation levels has been reported as of this time. IAEA will provide further assessments on situation in Iran as more information becomes available,” it wrote on X.

It marks the IAEA’s first public comments since the US attacks.

The IAEA will meet on Monday after the United States’ bombing of Iranian nuclear sites.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, its head Rafael Grossi said: “In light of the urgent situation in Iran, I am convening an emergency meeting of the IAEA board of governors for tomorrow.”

Iran’s FM says ‘outrageous’ US attack on nuclear sites to have ‘everlasting consequences’

“The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations,” Araghchi said in a social media post.

“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences. Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior.”

He added that Iran “reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people”.

President Donald Trump has announced that United States forces attacked three Iranian nuclear sites in a “very successful attack”, claiming that the heavily fortified Fordow nuclear facility is “gone”.

Trump’s decision on Saturday to join Israel’s military campaign against Iran represents a major escalation of the conflict.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding that the military planes were now on their way home.

“NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” he added.

Later, in a televised Oval Office address that lasted just more than three minutes, Trump said that Iran’s future held “either peace or tragedy”, and that there were many other targets that could be hit by the US military.

“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” Trump added.

The strikes came as Israel and Iran have been engaged in more than a week of aerial combat, with deaths and injuries in both countries.

Earlier, in a social media post, Trump brazenly claimed responsibility for the attacks that amount to a violation of Iran’s territorial integrity and a breach of international conventions.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” he claimed.

“All planes are now outside of Iranian airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.”

Iran warns of dangerous consequences of US strike on nuclear sites, blames IAEA chief

Iranian Foreign Ministry

In a statement following the US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and facilities of Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned “the savage military aggression” as a blatant and unprecedented violation of the most fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.

It said, the U.S. military aggression against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of a United Nations member state—committed in criminal collusion with the genocidal Zionist regime—once again demonstrates the depths of depravity and moral corruption that govern U.S. policies, and the intensity of the hostility and hatred harbored by the U.S. ruling establishment toward the peace-loving and independence-seeking people of the Islamic Iran.

The statement added that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves its right to resist with full force against U.S. military aggression and the crimes committed by this rogue regime, and to defend Iran’s security and national interests.

It said the assault also violates UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and delivers a severe blow to the nuclear non-proliferation regime, all committed by a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry also called on the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session to strongly condemn the U.S. act of aggression against Iran and to hold the United States accountable for its flagrant violations of international norms and principles.

It pointed out that the responsibility of the IAEA and its Director General—who, through clear bias in favor of warmongering parties, laid the groundwork and justification for this recent disaster—is now more evident than ever.

Iran Judiciary: Mossad spy executed following full legal process

Iran Prison

According to Iran’s Judiciary Media Center, Majid Mossayebi was arrested and prosecuted on charges of moharebeh (waging war against God) and corruption on earth through espionage and intelligence cooperation in favor of the Zionist regime. After the full legal process and confirmation of the sentence by Iran’s Supreme Court, he was executed on Sunday morning.

Based on the case documents, Mossayebi attempted to provide Mossad with classified information, details about sensitive locations inside Iran, and identities of specific individuals. In return, he received cryptocurrency as payment.

The report states that he had established contact with a Mossad handler named “David” in one of the Persian Gulf countries and had been submitting weekly reports through a secure communication channel.

After being identified and arrested, and following trial sessions held in the presence of both the defendant and his lawyer, the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan sentenced Mossayebi to death on charges of moharebeh and corruption on earth for collaborating with hostile foreign governments and espionage.
