5 Startup Tips Every Entrepreneur Should Know

There are steps you can implement to help you handle risks and make sure that there is a higher chance of succeeding in your business venture.

  1. Create a concrete business plan

As the saying goes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Creating a comprehensive and concrete business plan is a surefire way of implementing your business successfully. From creating your business name up to identifying how you’ll market your products, planning everything will help you determine the costs and analyze the risks before you set up your business.

  1. Test your idea before you invest

This is when you test your business ideas. It may require some small expenses as you will do some little experiments. You have to consider three things: market risk, implementation risk, and financial risk. Is your business idea in demand or will customers want it? Do you know how to execute it? Do you have the tools and technology to implement it? And finally, will you earn more than the cost of your business idea? If your answers to these questions are desirable, feasible and viable, then go and invest more in it. If it is the other way around, you may need to innovate your idea and test it again.

  1. Make your product or service accessible to customers

No matter how good your business idea is, if the location isn’t accessible to customers, you won’t be able to retain a lot of customers. Unless your business is accessible online, make sure that your location is within reach by your target customers. If there are other competitors in your preferred place, then there’s a higher chance that you will gain customers and profit on it.

You may also provide a convenient checkout process for customers on your ecommerce website. Give them the option to continue shopping and allow them to purchase through secured payment options. Lastly, let your visitors know your terms and conditions through your privacy policy and FAQs page.

  1. Know your target market and competitors

This may sound cliché but knowing your target market, as well as your competitors, is a crucial part of setting up a business. There’s no harm in trying to ask the opinion of your target customers. You can do market research and conduct surveys to identify their needs and wants. Knowing them and focusing on their preferences will not only help you make a profit but will also allow you to save money in the long run.

As for your competitors, checking on them can help you generate leads and turn them into potential customers. Learning about what they offer, how they market their products and services could give you an idea of how to innovate and stand out in the business that you have chosen.

  1. Develop good leadership skills

In setting up a business, it is a must to choose trustworthy individuals to be part of your team. On the other hand, bad leadership brings a harmful effect to your business and you must also do your part to retain your employees. Apart from your customers, they play an essential role in your business. Make them feel that it’s their business as well. Give credit where credit is due and allow them to grow without putting too much pressure on them.

Lastly, take time to learn and continuously study your business. Learn from the mistakes of successful businessmen and take note of the good points that they have previously implemented. While there is no such thing as a perfect business, an individual that is open to learning and isn’t afraid of venturing on new things wisely is the best key to a fail-proof business.

Interesting Facts You Never Knew about CBD Oil

While CBD oils and products might be abundantly available, there’s still plenty of misinformation and confusion about what CBD actually is and whether or not it’s legal, etc. Here, we’ll cover some interesting facts about CBD that you might have never known! Keep reading to learn more about this beneficial and versatile compound.

It’s Completely Legal (Finally)

CBD is extracted from hemp, which is a strain of the Cannabis plant. Yes, that’s the same plant that also produces marijuana. Marijuana and hemp are close relatives, but what makes them different is their THC content. THC is another chemical compound, but it produces a “high”, whereas CBD does not. In fact, CBD can help counteract the high produced by THC.

Since 1970, Cannabis and cannabis-based products, including hemp-derived CBD, have been considered illegal at the federal level; listed as a controlled substance according to the law. In 2018, new legislation passed that finally removed hemp/CBD from this list and made it legal to grow and cultivate. Of course, there were certain restrictions put in place.

Most notably is the 0.3% rule. For Cannabis plants to be considered industrial hemp, they must contain 0.3% or less THC on a dry-weight basis. This is where CBD is extracted from and made into CBD oil.

CBD oil cost will differ among brands based on the quality of the hemp from which its derived, as well as the extraction method used to produce the extract. Higher quality usually means a higher cost, but if you want the full CBD experience, this is the way to go.

CBD Oil Could Actually Help Treat Cancer Symptoms

Treating cancer is a lengthy process, and chemotherapy and radiation treatments can cause plenty of pain, discomfort, and disruption to bodily functions such as appetite. CBD has shown great promise in certain areas of cancer treatment, most notably mitigating certain severe symptoms.

CBD is a natural painkiller and anti-inflammatory compound. Patients undergoing chemotherapy often experience extreme pain, and CBD can help reduce it and make things more comfortable.

CBD also seems to help stimulate appetite, which can be lost during cancer treatments. Not being able to eat is all but debilitating for cancer patients, but a quick CBD dose can help reverse this issue and make the patient feel hungry once more.

While it’s not clear to what extent CBD may help with cancer-related issues, there seems to be some promise in the preliminary results. We’re anxiously awaiting the results of the next CBD cancer study to see just how much it can help.

CBD Is One of 113 Cannabinoids in Cannabis

CBD is considered to be a Cannabinoid and is actually one of 113 similar Cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant. These chemicals occur naturally and the body actually produces similar molecules known as endocannabinoids (which just means Cannabinoids inside the body).

Each Cannabinoid interacts with the body in a specific way and produces its own effects or none at all. We’re still not entirely sure just how much Cannabinoids affect us, as the ECS, or endocannabinoid system was only just discovered about 30 years ago.

CBD Doesn’t Make You High

CBD is closely related to its psychoactive cousin, THC. Many people assume that these two produce the same effect, given that they’re derived from pretty much the same source. This is a falsehood, and CBD won’t get you high at all. As mentioned earlier, this confusion was probably a major factor in CBD and hemp being listed as controlled substances.

CBD and THC do share some similar effects, however. Each of these compounds are natural painkillers, reduce inflammation, and can stimulate appetite, among other things.

CBD Doesn’t Actually Bind to Cannabinoid Receptors

The ECS contains cannabinoid receptors, which THC binds to and activates a response. These receptors stimulate the ECS to take action (triggering hunger, mood changes, etc.). The interesting thing about CBD is that it doesn’t actually bind to a receptor, and we’re still not entirely sure how it interacts with the ECS.

Chemical or electrical signals could be what activates the ECS on behalf of CBD, but more research is needed to be sure. What we do know is that CBD interacting with our ECS doesn’t produce any major negative side-effects. You might experience dry mouth, fatigue, irritation, or even diarrhea from taking CBD, but that’s about the extent of the negative effects.

Most users don’t report any side-effects at all, and as you’ll see in the next section, there’s no such thing as a “CBD overdose”.

You Can’t Overdose on CBD

CBD is non-addictive and you simply can’t overdose on it. You can take too much and perhaps produce a few of the negative side-effects we already mentioned, but as far as dangerous overdoses are concerned, you’re not going to experience one from taking too much CBD.

CBD Can Be Used to Treat Addiction

Speaking of addiction, CBD is actually known to have positive effects on those suffering from addiction. When the brain becomes chemically addicted to a substance, it needs the substance to function, and CBD seems to block certain receptors and mitigate the need for the addictive substance.

While some studies have produced positive results, others have been inconclusive. As we learn more about CBD and how it interacts with our nervous system, we’ll learn more about its potential as an anti-addiction agent. Until then, CBD oil and other products are still being used by addicts to help with symptoms and fight off the need for their addictive substance. Here’s to hoping CBD works as an anti-addiction product!

Iran on Brink of Containing Coronavirus: Rouhani

Iran Says 300,000 COVID-19 Patients Have Recovered

Rouhani, however, noted that there is a long way ahead to announce the end of this epidemic, warning that people should not be happy with the successes achieved and ignore the importance of this issue.

“People should continue to observe health protocols to help us end this epidemic with the least damage and casualties,” he stressed in a Wednesday cabinet meeting.

He further underlined that the policy of Iran in combating COVID-19 was not an authoritative quarantine. “We asked the people to support us by choosing a policy and method of voluntary participation, which fortunately yielded good results.”

The Iranian president said the government will keep supporting the people who have suffered economic problems during this period, and will do its best wherever they need more help.

Rouhani stated that the basic goods needed by the people have been fully provided and the necessary purchases have been made, and the people should not have any worries about the basic goods they need this year.

The president said despite the difficult economic conditions and the spread of the coronavirus the country’s non-oil exports were acceptable. “The reopening of borders and trade with other countries is underway, which will lead to an increase in the country’s non-oil exports.”

A poster released by the office of Iran's Leader ahead of the International Quds Day, which falls on May 22 this year

General Baqeri said those who have supported the crimes of Israel are in a huge quagmire of problems, and they are no longer able to ensure the survival of the Zionist regime.

In a statement on the occasion on the International Quds Day, the Iranian top commander also stressed that the strategic depth of the “Palestinian Resistance” discourse, with its pervasive influence on the geography of Jerusalem al-Quds, has weakened the will of the occupiers.

“Supported by the US and its allies, Zionism has occupied the Holy Land and has been committing crimes for 72 years,” reiterated Baqeri.

This year the International Quds Day has been affected by the COVID-19 after 41 years and people cannot hold demonstrations as before, he said.

“However, the resistance fighters are more sympathetic to the Palestinian people than before,” he added.

Baqeri further noted that this year people will declare their hatred of Zionism in various forms, and promise to dismantle this oppressive regime and turn the so-called deal of the century into the Achilles’ heel of global arrogance and Zionism.

International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan, based on an initiative by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians and oppose Zionism and Israel.

Quds Day is also held in several other countries, mainly in the Arab and Muslim world, with protests against Israel’s occupation of East Jerusalem. Rallies are held in various cities by both Muslim and non-Muslim communities around the world.

Iran Not to Tolerate Israeli Oppression of Palestinians: Rouhani

US Push to Use Mechanisms in Iran Nuclear Deal Ludicrous: Rouhani

The Iranian president said on Wednesday one of the main principles of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to support the oppressed and resist against the oppressors.

“We believe that in the end, the right will prevail over the wrong. Quds will not remain occupied by the usurpers, and although a new conspiracy is being hatched against the oppressed Palestinians every day, they will sooner or later emerge victorious,” stressed Rouhani.

Speaking at a weekly cabinet session, President Rouhani pointed out that the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, which is called the International Quds Day, is one of the most important Islamic and historical occasions.

He further noted that this year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Quds Day will be marked with special conditions, but Iranians under no circumstances will forget their main goal, which is to stand up to the oppressors.

Iran Proposes Barter Trade with Kazakhstan

Iran, Kazakhstan Agree to Ease Visa Requirements

In a telephone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Wednesday, President Rouhani said a barter system for the exchange of commodities would strengthen the process of bilateral trade between Iran and Kazakhstan.

“Iran is prepared for the launch of this mechanism between the two countries,” he added.

President Rouhani also stressed the need to remove the obstacles to the road and rail freight for transportation of cargoes between the two countries, strengthen the banking cooperation, and finalize an agreement on facilitating the visa application process for the travelers and business people of the two countries.

The president also hailed the economic relations between Iran and Kazakhstan and their mutual cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, adding, “I hope we will properly enhance the relations between the two countries after overcoming the coronavirus and even in the current conditions in compliance with the health instructions.”

The two presidents further voiced readiness to boost the trade exchanges via the Caspian Sea, saying the road ministers of the two sides are tasked with pursuing the initiative.

President Rouhani and President Tokayev also deplored the illegal US sanctions that have adversely affected the lives of people amid the outbreak of coronavirus, calling for the removal of the sanctions.

Citing the numerous problems that the coronavirus pandemic has created in the world, the two presidents emphasized the necessity of sharing experiences in the fight against the contagious disease.

They also agreed that the health ministries of Iran and Kazakhstan would promote mutual cooperation in the battle with COVID-19, considering the Iranian export of medical supplies such as ventilators, N95 masks and serology testing kits for coronavirus.

The two presidents finally congratulated each other in advance on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and wished the Iranian and Kazakh nations peace, calm and welfare.

The Iranian administration has stepped up efforts in recent years to expand economic ties with the Central Asian countries and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) members – Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

In 2018, President Rouhani and his former Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev weighed plans for trade exchanges between the two countries using their own currencies, namely rial and tenge.
