Stay on Budget with a Construction Time Clock App

Luckily, thanks to modern technology, you can easily track exactly how each of your employees is spending their time and which resources they are using throughout their day. In this article, we will cover the ways that online time clock software can help you stay on budget.

Accurate Time Reporting

Accurately reporting the amount of time spent on a specific task or job allows you to forecast your budgetary needs accurately. With a time clock app construction workers can quickly punch in and out while in the field and select the specific job they’re working on. Not only does job costing allow you to ensure you remain within your budget, but it also helps with accurate invoicing. Clients will be much more likely to choose your business for future projects if they are being billed accurately for the work being done.

GPS Tracking

Often, construction workers are moving between multiple sites per day. They may even need to make runs to stores to get the necessary supplies for the job. In such instances, it’s essential to know where your employees are throughout the day, and this is where GPS tracking comes in handy. You can quickly see exactly where your employees are working throughout the day. If they are paid different rates for different jobs, that can easily be tracked for accurate payroll processing.

Automatic Overtime Calculations

If an employee has to stay on longer than their scheduled shift, they may run into overtime. It is essential to accurately track overtime for many reasons, but perhaps the most important is to remain compliant with labor laws. If you don’t pay your employees for their overtime worked, you can end up having to pay hefty fines, which could impact your business is the ability to complete projects on time. And if you don’t complete projects by the anticipated deadline, you will most certainly go over budget.

Time clock apps have the ability to track overtime both at the federal and state level. These calculations are done automatically so you can rest assured that they are correct and that your employees are being paid correctly for all their time worked.

Time Off Tracking

Last but most importantly, not the least is the ability to track time off. Construction projects require employees with different skill sets, and everyone has an important role to play. Employees need to be able to request time off efficiently. Not only is this beneficial for the employee, but as an employer, this allows you to quickly find a replacement with similar skill sets to ensure that you meet your project deadline.

Job Costing

Although we have already slightly touched on the topic of job costing, it is so essential in the construction industry that it deserves more attention. Job costing is tracking the number of hours spent on a particular job, tasks, projects, or even clients. There are so many different aspects of a construction project, so understanding exactly How much money or time is being spent on a particular part of a project is crucial. Understanding the costs of a construction project allows for better budgeting pause for current and future projects, which can lead to higher profits.

Having a time clock app for your construction business is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. If you want to remain competitive and keep your profit margins high, then invest in a time tracking solution that can precisely record employee’s hours, can track their locations, accurately records overtime, and allows for easy time off tracking.

Top 4 Solutions That Can Save the Environment

The grim facts are that need is outnumbering supply. The more the world is raped of its resources the more our children’s futures are in question. This article sets out four solutions that need to be seriously taken on board.

Be Sensible with Plastics

The global issue with plastics is they are not environmentally friendly. They’re not biodegradable and usually end up in landfill sites. Other plastic ends up washed into rivers and streams. This creates issues for fishes and marine life who mistake it for food. They then experience problems which include breathing. Plastic can also pose a threat to human health.

Much of the plastic we use is simply for convenience, like disposable shopping bags or drinks cartons. When looking at the different types of eco friendly straws, the experts said that 500 million straws are used daily, and 7.5 million end up on beaches. It is encouraging to see that both companies and governments are looking to ban them for this reason. Fortunately, there are biodegradable alternatives as well as plant-based ones.

The wise use of alternatives to plastic should be sought in our daily lives to save the environment. That can include the use of glass bottles and durable shopping bags.

Be Responsible with Water

It may be that people think there’s plenty of this resource. After all, the world is 70% covered by it, surely? The problem is that much of it is salt water which is undrinkable, and there is not enough freshwater to meet global needs. That’s bad for human and animal life, as well as the environment.

It is shocking to discover that there is hardly any global city that does not release sewage into its water. Considering the medical implications of drinking contaminated water, this is even more surprising.

The use and stewardship of water need to be tightly maintained. It begins with individuals but must also be addressed at the highest levels.

Be Responsible with Food

The use of transport can create issues for the environment. This includes greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from fuel-driven vehicles. One may often see posters that encourage people to support local farmers. It’s not just a way to encourage local businesses, however. It reduces the need to transport food long distances, generating pollution.

People who eat organic meat may be viewed as weird or fussy, when in fact they are reacting to the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers that end up in our streams and rivers. Vegetarians are often the butt of jokes too, but it takes less land and precious water to grow crops than to rear animals for food. One can easily view farm animals as an environmentally friendly part of life. Actually, they contribute to greenhouse gases through the methane that they generate.

Junk food scores badly for health and the environment and is usually badly packaged with disposable plastics.

Top 4 Solutions That Can Save the EnvironmentConserve Energy

When people have short journeys ahead of them, it is easy to consider using the car. It’s quick and convenient, right? As we have discussed, fossil fuels are not good for the environment. Lack of exercise is also bad for our health and wastes money needlessly. Governments are increasingly looking to promote the use of bicycles as a benefit to people and to air quality.

It’s all too common to see homes where a light is on in every room, whether there are people there or not. Electrical items like televisions may be turned off, but the power lights are still on, using valuable energy and wasting money.

Washing machines use valuable resources every time the warm wash cycle is selected. Many items can be adequately cleaned with just a cold wash.

There are viable alternatives to using electricity for power provision. Wind farms and solar power can demonstrate high levels of efficiency, whilst being kinder to the environment.

Modern life seems to operate on convenience, with instant food and disposable plastic packaging. People pay little thought to the use and quality of water. Convenience food abounds, and farm products are doctored with fertilizers and other chemicals. Energy demands remain high as people draw on valuable resources for their travel and everyday lives.

It’s important to steward these things responsibly. Change is needed now, both at the grassroots and the governmental level. Some lines have already been crossed, and urgent changes must be made in order to provide a sustainable future for everyone.

Iran’s Non-Oil Exports Could Reach $41bn This Year: President

Iran’s Non-Oil Exports Could Reach $41bn This Year: President

In comments on Thursday, President Hassan Rouhani further described exporters as “soldiers and commanders at the forefront of the campaign against US terrorism.”

He urged all producers and exporters to redouble their efforts to give fresh impetus to production and exports.

“The enemies, led by the US, seek to create problems for the country with regards to the supply of foreign exchange, but this US conspiracy will be foiled as all of us become active in the production and exports sector,” said the president at a ceremony to inaugurate projects of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade in a number of provinces.

“The inauguration of Rls. 58 trillion worth of projects in a single day indicates the failure of sanctions and certain acts to impede our efforts,” he noted.

“This year, a total of 200 industrial and mineral projects with an overall price tag of Rls. 1,700 trillion will come on line,” he said.

“Despite propaganda campaigns in cyberspace, I’m telling people that through unity, making efforts, consultations and working on the path to production, we can stand up to the enemy well and solve problems,” the president said.

Iranian Woman Turns Farmland into Doll Exhibition

Iranian Woman Turns Farmland into Doll Exhibition

Khadijeh Abbasi, who lives alone in a village in Ardakan in Iran’s central Yazd province, has been making creative dolls, a work that is astonishing and unbelievable.

She is a 58-year-old woman who has been making dolls for five years with old clothes, scrap metal, and small pieces of other materials.

She is from the city of Ardakan, but has been living with her husband in one of the villages of Ardakan for eight years where she spends her time with geese, chickens and sheep.

They are the only ones who live on this farm. Khadijeh has been working on carpets since she was a child, and has woven many silk carpets on her own, but in the past few years, she has been making dolls.

“I had to create an entertainment for myself. So I started making dolls. The first doll I made was called Henna. I don’t make these dolls for sale. I even received orders to make dolls, but I did it for them free of charge. I will not take any money in return.”

Now Khadijeh’s house has turned into a doll farm, each with its own story. Following are the pictures of her dolls published by the Young Journalists’ Club:

Tehran Denies US Claim of Seizing Iranian Ship Carrying Arms to Yemen

Iran Condemns Expansion of EU, US Sanctions on Syria

In a statement on Thursday, Mousavi said lying, levelling accusations and hatemongering are among the main elements of the US foreign policy, especially in the current regime.

Mousavi described US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a “hatemonger”, saying that his recent remarks stem from the same approach pursued by US officials.

The Americans, who feel they have not succeeded in extending the UN arms embargo on Iran in the international arena and the Security Council, are trying to make up excuses for continuing their maximum pressure and advancing their evil goals by levelling accusations and lying, he added.

Mousavi further pointed to the five-year siege imposed by the United States and Saudi Arabia on the Yemeni people, killing thousands as a result of starvation and malnutrition.

“Instead of being held accountable for their crimes in Yemen, the two regimes (US and Saudi Arabia) are trying not to fulfil their responsibilities and be held accountable for their inhumane behaviour and crimes by accusing others and making baseless allegations,” he noted.

Pompeo announced on Wednesday that Washington and partner forces seized a boat in June carrying Iranian weapons to Yemen as he renewed his call for the UN Security Council to extend an arms embargo on Iran.

US, Israel Seeking to Sow Discord in Iran: President Rouhani

Rouhani Urges New White House Ruler to End Economic Terrorism against Iran

President Hassan Rouhani said Washington and Tel Aviv not only try to divide people and the government, but also make every effort to create divisions within the Establishment.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting in the capital Tehran on Wednesday, Rouhani said enemies want to disappoint the Iranian people’s hopes in the System. He urged all to stand up to enemies’ plots and maintain their unity.

He also praised Tehran’s efforts to have several UN Security Council anti-Iran resolutions lifted, despite US efforts to keep them in place.

The president then touched upon the handing over of “Justice Shares” to people. He said part of the shares have been freed up, the rest will be gradually freed in the coming months.

Justice Shares refer to shares issued in the name of Iranian people as part of the government’s privatization plan.

The shares, owned by people, had until recently been under the control of the government, which has just begun to free them up, so that their owners can trade them as they wish.
