No More Trace of ISIS Terrorists inside Iran: Minister

Iranian Intelligence Minister has been quoted as saying that there is not even a slight trace of ISIS terror cells left inside the Islamic Republic.

A member of the Iranian Parliament’s Presiding Board said the Intelligence Minister had assured the lawmakers that there was not a single terror cell remaining inside Iran.

Addressing the reporters on the sidelines of Parliament’s open session on Sunday, Akbar Ranjbarzadeh added that Minister Mahmoud Alavi briefed the lawmakers during a closed-door meeting on Tehran terror attacks.

“During our meeting, the minister said the perpetrators of Tehran attacks held Iranian nationality and were trained for a while outside Iran by ISIS for terrorist acts,” he said.

The Iranian MP quoted Alavi as saying, “The Iranian intelligence forces are strongly pressing ahead with their operations. The security situation is totally under control and we have already adopted appropriate measures.”

Iranian Intelligence forces identified and dismantled all potential terror cells inside the country.  Meanwhile, the perpetrators of Tehran attacks were identified and the mastermind of the attacks was killed in a foreign country, Alavi was quoted as saying.

Ranjbarzadeh added, during the meeting, the Intelligence Minister also noted that the terrorists indirectly involved with Tehran attacks were also identified and killed in different parts of the country.

The Iranian MP also quoted Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli as saying during the meeting that the terrorist attacks had not undermined Iran’s domestic security and would not affect the Islamic Republic’s will to fight terrorism.
