Ali Shamkhani, the representative of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei at the Defense Council, has warned the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) against “unconstructive” claims regarding the three Iranian islands and the Arash gas field.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson strongly rejected as “baseless and interventionist claims” made during a joint meeting of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) and the European Union (EU), warning against destructive foreign interference in the region’s affairs, and saying European states “have no legitimacy or authority to comment on Iran’s defense capabilities.”
