First Neanderthal Human Tooth Discovered in Iran

Saman Heydari Goran, head of the archaeological site, announced Sunday that it is the first time the remains of a Neanderthal human is being discovered in Iran.

He said the tooth belongs to a six-year-old child that was found along with some rocky tools of the middle Paleolithic period.

“Based on our studies, this tooth dates back to 42,000-45,000 years ago, and belongs to communities close to the present time,” said Heydari.

The Iranian Cultural Heritage Research Centre’s website quoted him as saying that other similar teeth have also been discovered in Spain, France and Germany.

1,600 Iranian Journalists Due in Iraq to Cover Arb’aeen

The news was recently announced by the Director of the Information Committee on Arba’een.

Alavi told reporters that the committee builds on its earlier experiences gained over the past years to give an appropriate coverage to the pilgrimage.

He said enemies are plotting to tarnish the image of the pilgrimage, and thus Iranian journalists should beware and open their eyes to such plots.

Touching on the importance of the presence of pilgrim-reporters in this year’s Arba’een coverage, he said relying merely on the official media capacities will prevent the committee from fully covering the big pilgrimage.

“That’s why, along with official correspondents from mainstream media, we need to rely on the help by any pilgrim who is willing to serve as a reporter to broadcast further news and beauties of Arba’een to the whole world,” he said.

According to the official, the Islamic Republic will dispatch about 1600 documentary-makers, correspondents, photographers and technical staff to Iraq for covering Arb’aeen.

“This year, 400 TV channels from 43 countries will cover the Arba’een epic. Meanwhile, about 1,200 experts from various countries will appear before the cameras of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) to elaborate on Arba’een,” he noted.

The committee director also said for the first time in the past years, at least 77 SNGs are set to be deployed in 13 stations allocated for Arba’een’s coverage.

According to Alavi, this year two media stations will be set up equipped with high-speed internet to provide the correspondents as well as the pilgrims with free access to the internet.

He then referred to the establishment of Radio Arba’een station, saying this year the radio will lively broadcast programs on Arba’een in Iraq. “This year, 40 radio frequencies broadcast programs in English, Arabic and Persian. Meanwhile, we have prepared at least 130 documentaries to be broadcast by the IRIB during Arba’een.”

Alavi said the presence of professional correspondents is highly significant for giving a full coverage to Arba’een. Therefore, he said, the media outlets should send their most professional correspondents to the pilgrimage.

“The media should provide their audiences with a full picture of the social and public order during the pilgrimage and we hope the order could get more widespread year by year,” he concluded.

SMA: A Progressive Genetic-Muscular Disease

In this disease, the patient’s muscles become soft, causing problems in walking, controlling the head and neck, as well as swallowing and breathing.

The SMA is also known as muscular-spinal atrophy and the Werdnig-Hoffmann disease. It is a progressive genetic nervous-spinal disease which gets worse as time passes by, and is more frequent in families where relatives marry each other.

The SMA has different types. In less severe types, the patient will continue to live until a young age and adulthood, and only type I of the disease is deadly.

Global figures suggest one out of 6,000 infants are born with spinal muscular atrophy, and almost one out of 40 carries a faulty gene. The disease has a considerable prevalence in Iran. The disease may begin to develop during the embryonic stage or adulthood. In either case, the effect of the disease on individuals will increase as time passes by because it is a progressive disease. The SMA has different kinds, some of which are less severe and some are more severe. In the severe type of the disease, the infant is born in a bad general condition with soft muscles and problems with breathing, and then he/she dies. In other kinds of the disease, the patient will live until a young age and adulthood.

For a more detailed review of Iran’s achievments in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review”, released by the Science and Technology Department of the Iranian President’s Office.

As the disease is hereditary, genetic disorders may also emerge in couples who were not relatives when they married. However, it has been proven that family members who were relatives when then married are twice as likely to have babies with genetic diseases. The SMA is a recessive-gene disease, i.e. the baby will contract the disease only if both parents (father and mother) carry the SMA gene. So, the chances of babies coming down with the disease is higher if parents are relatives because relations are genetically more similar. Nevertheless, if one of the parents carry the faulty SMA gene and the other is healthy, their children will not contract the disease. Rather, they will just carry the gene and could pass it on to the next generation.

Fortunately, now it is possible in Iran to diagnose and prevent the disease through DNA extraction and genetic tests.

Studies show that in addition to what we eat, factors such as how we eat our food can also affect the amount of calories that our body absorbs.

Essential nutrients consist of three groups of carbohydrate, fat and protein. In another word, they should be available in an appropriate size in each healthy diet. A healthy diet, especially one that includes probiotic products, plays a key role in preventing diseases in the future. If you want to manage your weight, it is important to have information about calories. You should receive your daily calories in a number of meals and snacks. You also need to know how much calories you should receive during each meal and snack.

Men and women differ in terms of their daily calorie requirements. To calculate the calorie requirement, you should first set your target. Do you want to lose or gain weight or keep it unchanged? Having set your target, you can now decide how much calories you should receive and which food to eat to reach your ideal weight.

For a more detailed review of Iran’s achievments in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review”, released by the Science and Technology Department of the Iranian President’s Office.

Healthy foods play a key role in the process of reaching one’s ideal weight. Instead of enduring hunger and hardship, you can energetically live on an appropriate healthy diet.

Each meal should contain some protein, whole grain, healthy fat, fruit or vegetables, which are nutritionally valuable. Eating healthy and organic foods instead of processed ones help you to feel satiety for a longer time. Fruits can serve as an extraordinary option for med-blog.com.

Eating a medium-size banana or a small bowl of strawberries provide you with at least 150 calories. Other appropriate options for snacks could be a piece of wholemeal bread with two teaspoons of peanut butter (135 calories), three dates (165 calories) or four chopped crackers with two pieces of low-fat cheese (135 calories). With a simple search on the internet, you can find the calories available in each edible or drinkable material.

The calories you need should consist of 55-60 percent carbohydrates, 25-30 percent protein and 15-20 percent fat.

How Much Calories Should We Eat to Remain Healthy? An average healthy man should obtain the needed calories within 4 to 6 meals. Due to job and cultural conditions, many people usually have three meals per day which is not a healthy diet at all.

The more you chew your food, the more calories your body will absorb. Each country has its own recommended amount of calories for men and women. For example in the US, men are recommended to eat 2,700 calories per day. This figure for women is 2,200.

To accurately calculate your body’s calorie requirement per day, you should first calculate your Body Mass Index (IBM). Remember that a meal of fish/meat, salad and small amount of olive oil along with some fruits have 500 calories. Such a meal is very beneficial to your health and can further prolong your satiety feeling compared with some snacks like popcorn mixed with butter or toffee.

110 European Firms Ready for Oil Cooperation with Iran: Official

In an interview with ISNA, Head of the Association of Iranian Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers, Reza Khayamian said the bid to establish cooperation with the European small and medium-sized firms was made by the Association to the Iranian government.

“The Association of Iranian Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers along with other related departments is seeking to invite a number of SMEs from Europe to attend a seminar in Tehran and establish cooperation with the Iranian government and private firms in oil areas,” he said.

110 European firms have already expressed their preparedness to attend the seminar and launch joint projects with the Iranian companies in oil and gas fields, he added.

“We are seeking to invite them to Tehran and link them to the Iranian firms so that they can launch joint projects in oil areas,” he noted.

US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal back in May has hampered oil connections between Iran and a number of other countries. Today, the countries are seeking ways to bypass the sanctions and preserve their relations with the Islamic Republic in oil areas.

To this end, the Association of Iranian Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers has proposed to prepare the ground for joining Iranian and European small and medium-sized companies together. It also called for dividing large oil projects into small ones so that each European firm could press ahead with one of them.

Earlier, he said the European Union has welcomed the proposal and said the small and medium-sized firms from Europe can finance their projects by 20m euros through the European Investment Bank.

The EU has also called on the firms to join Iran’s private sector in pressing ahead with the projects.

According to Khayamian also said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has also welcomed the proposal saying oil projects should be divided into small projects.

Iran Denies Meddling in US Mid-term Elections

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi, in a statement on Saturday, dismissed the recent baseless claims by the US government’s intelligence, judicial and security authorities about Iran’s meddling in the US mid-term elections.

He noted that the attempts made by the US officials to say Iran has been involved in the US mid-term polls are an unfounded allegation, possibly caused by an unknown illusion.

The US national security advisor had earlier made a similar allegation without providing any evidence, the Iranian official added.

“The White House has for some time been trying to raise allegations against other countries for specific political reasons, and every day adds a country to its fictional list,” said the Iranian spokesperson.

“The president of the United States had claimed that since he took office, Iran has been busy with its internal affairs, alleging that Tehran is so weak that it cannot even think of regional issues and is just thinking about its survival.”

“Then how can such an ‘introverted’ country (as the US officials say) be interfering in the United States’ parliamentary elections?” concluded Qassemi.

US federal intelligence, security and law enforcement agencies issued a joint-statement on Friday alleging active foreign influence campaigns being waged by multiple nations against the US with only a few weeks remaining until the midterm elections.

In the announcement, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence of the United States warned of “ongoing campaigns” by Russia, China and Iran to influence in the midterm elections and the 2020 race, largely through social media.

Turkish Army Makes New Incursion Deep Into Iraq

Local sources in Iraq’s Kurdistan underlined that the incursion has been made into Sidakan region on the suburb of Erbil province in northeastern Iraq.

“According to the sources, Turkish troops are getting closer to Sidakan region in Erbil province,” a report by IRNA said.

The deployment will provide Turkey with required logistic support to launch military operation inside Iraq.

The sources added that the Turkish army has not only increased its military presence in the region but also deployed heavy military equipment there.

The army has also created some military bases in Hisham heights in Sidakan region.

“It is now just 7 kilometres away from the Sidakan centre,” the sources noted.

The Turkish government has deployed its military 40 km deep into Iraq’s soil under the pretext of fighting the PKK militants, which it recognizes as a terrorist group.

Kurdistan Regional Government and the Central government in Bagdad have not yet commented on the new Turkish incursion.

Probiotic Foods: A Must in Daily Diets of All

Probiotic Foods

Probiotics are live bacteria which are good for health and the digestive system. They can also help boost the immune system while improving the health of the digestive system. We humans used to receive many probiotics in our daily diets with the consumption of natural foods in the past. But unfortunately, this is not true in today’s world.

In the early 20th century, they believed probiotics would be beneficial to the host’s body by improving the microbial balance of the intestines and countering pathogenic and poison-inducing bacteria. Today, elaborate studies have been conducted and registered on the special effects of probiotics, namely fighting chronic diseases which cause inflammation in the intestines, as well as preventing and curing diseases causing diarrhea, infections of the urinary and reproductive systems, some allergies and syndromes of the intestines and chronic intestinal inflammation.

meticore reviews

The main function of probiotics is to ease the movement of food in your intestines. A regular and proper movement in the intestines is more important than what you think. If you do not have enough probiotics, you may suffer certain conditions such as digestive problems, candida infection, influenza, skin problems and self-immune diseases.

Probiotic is also used as an adjective referring to the kinds of food containing such bacteria. Probiotics are not only included in human food, but used profusely in industrial poultry feed.

For a more detailed review of Iran’s achievments in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review”, released by the Science and Technology Department of the Iranian President’s Office.

As probiotic products contain bacteria which have positive effects on the health of users, probiotic bacteria used in goods should preserve their functional and beneficial properties to contribute to people’s health. These properties include the growth and survival of organisms during the production and preservation of products as well as after the consumption while moving from the stomach to the intestines. The doze of the probiotics used plays a key role in the existing density in different parts of the digestive system. Still, not everyone knows how to utilize the advantages of probiotics. We have introduced a list of foods containing probiotics for those who would like to use probiotics naturally and who prefer natural foods to probiotics pills and capsules.

Yoghurt: When buying probiotic yoghurt, go for traditional yoghurt, special probiotic yoghurt, and yoghurt made with goat milk.

Milk: Go for the types of milk enriched with probiotics. You can find different kinds of probiotic milk from among the dairy products of different brands.

Cheese: Probiotic cheese is also available on the market. Gouda, cheddar, mozzarella and some types of pasteurized cheese such as lactic cheese are among the dairy products containing probiotics.

Probiotic Foods: A Must in Daily Diets of AllDark chocolate: Chocolate alone does not contain probiotics, but researchers have found that chocolate helps carry and absorb probiotics in the body. But how? Dark chocolate helps these living bacteria to survive when facing the strong PH of the digestive system and to make it all the way to the intestines. Due to the protective property of chocolate, probiotics can be added to high-quality chocolate or chocolate milk.

In order for the digestive system to have the best performance, enrich your diet by adding probiotic foods. You may also use a good probiotics capsule as a complement.
