Iran Relies on Self-Esteemed Women for Bypassing US Sanctions

Zahra Mazrouei, a PhD graduate of textile engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, said through their production, she and her colleagues in the knowledge-based firm have not only contributed to the country’s progress in the science and technology area but also created new jobs for a number of Iranian youths.

“We domestically made some light and efficient soundproofing products through Nano technology which stops noises from travelling through various parts of a building,” the researcher was quoted as saying in an interview with Fars news agency.

According to Mazrouei, statistical tests show that 10 percent of Americans have experienced Tinnitus which is mainly caused by the loud noises around us. The experience leads to deafness in 90 percent of cases.

“That’s why, demands for soundproofing products with high quality is on the rise. Today’s soundproofing products need to have high thickness to be of high efficiency,” she noted.

We have already got the technical approval for its quality for use in building construction.”

Mazrouei also added the soundproofing products is water proof and can be easily transferred and installed.

The products can stop noise travel at frequencies of 3000 to 5000 KHz. “This means that our products can stop 80 percent of noise travels compared with available soundproofing products in the market,” she said.

Elaborating on the functions of the knowledge-based firm, she added “among the main functions of our products, one can refer to covering domestic spaces of a room, residential buildings, offices and recreation buildings, transportation industry units like vehicle, helicopter, airplane and train, studios, cinemas and conference halls and industrial machineries and laboratories tools.”

‘Iranian Women Running Economic Campaign against US Bans’

Referring to the US sanctions, Mazrouei said, ”We faced some obstacles over the past months due to the foreign currency crisis in the country to provide our raw materials. To tackle the problem, we put much time and energy into producing our raw materials for several months and finally managed to overcome the problem. Now, we are working on the new version with a higher quality.”

According to advisor on women affairs at Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Zeinab Hamidzadeh, at present 400 knowledge-based firms in Iran have been established and are run by women.

Is Creating Sturdy Social Network the Way to Go for Most College Entrepreneurs?

Is it worth it, though? What really are the benefits of developing a network for a college entrepreneurs?

Finding a Mentor

A college student might have the best idea in the world. Even then, they are still a student with limited professional experience. In addition, at no point does anyone in business know everything possible about their own and related fields.

As students, individuals are spending their time learning as much as they possibly can. When they run into a roadblock, they ask for someone with the knowledge to help. For instance, if they are stuck on an academic paper, they might turn to essay writing for help.

The same concept can be used as an entrepreneur. If an entrepreneur comes to a hurdle, they can ideally turn to someone more experienced than they are. Networking can help students find mentors to help them through.

Chances for Partnerships

There are a lot of benefits to joining in or changing your sole proprietorship into a partnership. For one, entrepreneurs may find that there are other professionals with skills complementary to theirs. This could be different specialties or a compilation of knowledge in the same field that leads to further innovation.

Building a Reputation

Someone can have the best idea in the world but if no one hears it, it won’t make a profit. Not to mention, it’s absolutely crucial to have a good reputation in a world where everyone’s life is available with an online search.

By meeting and interacting with other professionals, upcoming business figures can build a reputation for themselves. Not only is this great for gaining exposure, a good reputation helps your chances of working with other business entities such as potential suppliers and advertisers.

A big part of this is remembering that when you are interacting with another professional, that impression doesn’t stay with them alone. Instead, this impression reaches there associates and potentially those associates’ associates and so on and so forth.

To build a positive reputation, students won’t want to limit themselves to a simple introduction. A often suggested way to do this is to offer help to others. The goal is to show yourself to others as a force that they want and need rather than just exist in the same space as.

New Opportunities

If a student were to work completely isolated, they are going to miss out on a lot of news. Particularly, they won’t hear about valuable opportunities to further themselves. This could be a partnership like discussed before or even word-of-mouth recommendations of the products or services you offer.

Increase Interpersonal Skills

Whether working with customers or other business people, interpersonal skills are critical to entrepreneurs. Unlike a business skill such as accounting or marketing, interpersonal skills have to be learned by practice.

For many, interpersonal skills are difficult to come by because it’s hard to push themselves out of their comfort zone and talk to strangers. However, the more someone commits to the practice of socializing with others, the better they will become at it.

This practice isn’t only helpful in teaching technical skills of socialization such as reading body language or turning a conversation. A big part of it is building a confidence that students will take with them to other areas of their professional life.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, networking isn’t something to be overlooked by students. Even if you are innovating and carving your own way in business, it’s important to have allies. When you are trying to build a business, it isn’t only about who you know but those connections are important.

Iran, Armenia Should Expand Ties in Defiance of US: Leader

Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei meets Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Tehran on Feb. 27, 2019. / Photo by Leader.ir

In a Wednesday meeting with visiting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Ayatollah Khamenei described Iran and Armenia as two close neighbours with long historical relations.

The Leader then underlined the need to increase mutual economic cooperation between and two sides and said despite the US officials’ will, Iran and Armenia should strengthen their mutual and friendly ties.

He referred to close relations between Iranians and their Armenian compatriots living in Iran as well as the self-sacrifices made by the Armenians during the Sacred Defence (the war imposed on Iran by Iraq under former dictator Saddam Hussein) and said, “I’ve been paying visits to houses of some of Armenian martyrs in Tehran because we view them as Iran’s honours just as our Muslim martyrs are.”

Ayatollah Khamenei then cited growing friendship and cooperation between the two sides as a must and in line with both sides’ common interests.

He further noted that American officials are completely unreliable. “They always seek to create sedition, corruption, divisions and war among nations. They are also against Iran and Armenia mutual ties. But we are duty-bound to increase our cooperation.”

He then pointed to the close and friendly relations between Iran and Armenia throughout history and said the two states have never gotten into trouble in their relations.

“Based on its Islamic instructions, the Islamic Republic of Iran feels duty bound to establish good-faith relations with its neighbours. But US officials including John Bolton have no understanding of such humane relations,” he noted.

Iran’s Leader also underlined that the current level of relations between Iran and Armenia is much lower than both sides’ capacities to establish ties and called for seriously following up the agreements to be made during the Armenian official’s visit to Iran.

He referred to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and said continuous negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is the only way to tackle the conflict, and expressed the Islamic Republic’s preparedness to contribute to peaceful solution of the matter.

For his part, the Armenian prime minister described his talks in Tehran as constructive and promising and expressed hope that agreements made so far could become operational through two sides’ resolute will.

He also referred to historic relations between Iran and Armenia and cited it as an appropriate ground for further expansion of ties.

“Armenia has never taken part in any anti-Iran plot and will never do so. We view promotion of our mutual ties with Iran in our own national interests,” he said.

Pashinyan then expressed satisfaction with the living conditions of Armenians in Iran.

He directly addressed Iran’s Leader saying “I’m totally sure that through your deep experiences as well as the Islamic Republic’s significant role in the region, we can expand further our mutual ties.”

The meeting was also attended by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Iran Says Ready to Mediate between India, Pakistan

In a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday, Iran’s top diplomat called on both India and Pakistan to show self-restraint and sit for talks over their disputes as soon as possible.

The Iranian foreign minister is also expected to hold a phone conversation with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on the recent clashes.

India and Pakistan have been involved in some military clashes over the recent days. Pakistan’s military said it had shot down two Indian Air Force aircraft inside its airspace in Kashmir and captured two pilots.

Indian officials say Pakistani fighter jets violated airspace over Indian-controlled Kashmir, but were forced back.

The developments came a day after India conducted airstrikes against alleged militant positions in Pakistan. The air raid was followed by Indian shelling in Kashmir, which left four Pakistani civilians dead.

Iranian Baluch Woman Designs Dress for Queen of Brunei

Iranian Baluch Woman Designs Dress for Queen of Brunei (16)

After visiting the works of local designer Mahla Zamani, Iranian Ambassador to Brunei Homeira Rigi asked her to design a dress for the Asian country’s queen as a gift from Iran.

Zamani started to design the dress by using Baluch women‘s style as well as elements and signs from famous Iranian poet Attar’s Seven Cities of Love and the ruins of the Chogha Zanbil temple in Susa.

This dress was prepared by Iranian ladies from Chabahar and Tehran in three days as a good gift from Iran for the queen of the Muslim country.

Since Brunei is a tropical country, the fabric is very light. The dress also includes embroidered Baluch pieces, pearls and Swarovski ornaments.

The dress consists of two pieces of underlay and a piece that includes the outfit. Since Iran is known for its turquoise in the world, its embroidered Baluch pieces are ornamented with this colour.

On Monday, at a ceremony in the presence of artists such as Fariba Motekhasses, Shabnam Qolikhani, Flor Nazari, and the chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Exporters of Gold, Jewelry, Silver and Gemstones, the dress was unveiled to be presented to the Queen by Iranian Ambassador.

Zamani, who has already designed dresses for prominent foreign women, is working to help women in deprived areas who create beautiful handmade fabrics and needlework.

She is based in the south-eastern port city of Chabahar and is actively engaged in training local women, as she believes Baluch designs should be globally known.

In a Wednesday statement, Qassemi said the Islamic Republic of Iran calls on the two leading and influential states of the sensitive region of South Asia to take into account the complicated situation of the region, which seems vulnerable over growing instability, insecurity and foreign interferences.
