Forex Trading Brokers Make the Difference for Clients

Forex market refers to the buying, selling, exchanging and speculation on currencies. The market is made up of banks, commercial companies, central banks, investment management firms, hedge funds, retail forex brokers and investors and it operates on two levels, interbank and over-the-counter.

The interbank market is where large banks trade currencies in between themselves for balance sheet adjustments, hedging and on behalf of their clients while the OTC markets is where individuals trade with the help of online platforms and brokers.

Forex Brokers

Forex brokers are firms, companies or financial institutions that facilitate the trading of currencies through their trading platforms where people can buy and sell foreign currencies. These brokers mainly earn through bid-ask spread or transaction fees and with the increase in competition in the forex market and the increase in volume, the transaction costs have gone down. Forex brokers facilitate trading in all major currencies and currency pairs in the world and also allow people to trade in the currencies of emerging markets like India.

Types of Forex Brokers

All forex brokers offer the same service of facilitating trading of currencies but go about it in their own ways of doing it. All brokers operate in different ways which can have significant effect on your trading experience. Here are the different Types of Forex Brokers:

  1. No Dealing Desk

As the name suggests, these brokers don’t have a dealing desk and operate by acquiring leading composite quotes from quote providers which allows them to have the required liquidity in the forex market. These brokers execute transactions and fill orders as per the requirements of their clients based on these quotations and charge their clients a commission fee or widen the bid spread to earn returns.

  1. Market Makers

Market makers provide a two sided market to their clients which originate from an expert forex trader who operates as a part of their in-house dealing desk. Market makers purchase currency on their bid side and sell it to the clients on the quoted price by the client thereby acquiring the other side of the transaction from their clients.

Market maker offer instant trades, fixed spread and no rollover fees making it a faster and cheaper approach to trading.

  1. ECN (Electronic Communications Network)

This is an online trading platform where market makers, banks, traders and individuals enter offers and bid for currencies. Here, you get direct price rates from international banks and as these are just online platforms they cannot go bankrupt unlike Market Makers.

  1. Straight Through Processing

STP brokers are more flexible to the needs of their clients. They operate on same rates as that of interbank market rates and use custom algorithms to determine the best way to complete a trade for the client and choose whatever method between interbank market and trading against the client gives them the most profit.

All these methods achieve the singular aim of providing the service of forex to the clients with the difference being in the methodology used by the brokers to achieve the most profits for them and the best deal for their clients.

Iranian Scientists Find New Method to Treat Malignant Tumors

The University Dean Mohammad Aqajani said at a press conference that in this method, a new treatment for type-4 malignant tumors has been developed along with standard therapies such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

According to ISNA, the new method has been developed as a complementary methodology for the first time in the world by researchers from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

The first phase of the project has been successfully carried out on animals, and the medical ethics permits for the human phase has been received.

For a brief review of Iran’s achievements in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review

“This approach was first tested about 4 years ago, and we are now moving from this step to the next so that we can use this innovative method for more patients. If the plan is successful, we hope we can use it as a routine treatment along with other standard methods,” noted Aqajani.

Aqajani added that malignant brain tumors have no certain medical treatment in the world today saying that unfortunately, surgical methods, chemotherapy and lasix-info.net have not had much effect on patients’ survival.

“Therefore, the new innovative method of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has been selected through a global study. The question was how to transfer live microorganisms that can kill cancer cells to cancerous tumors. The innovative method of the university is that these microorganisms are transmitted through two new techniques into the tumor which makes it more effective for microorganisms to kill cancerous cells,” concluded Aqajani.

Iran, Iraq Enjoy Exemplary Relations: Rouhani

Hassan Rouhani made the remarks in a Saturday meeting with new Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Saad Abdul Wahab Jawad Qandil, just two days before making his first-ever trip to Iraq as the Iranian president.

Rouhani said Tehran and Baghdad have great potential for the enhancement of mutual cooperation, adding the enthusiasm of both nations contributes to the further promotion of reciprocal ties.

President Rouhani said the Iranian government and nation are longing for the promotion of Iraq’s security, development and welfare as a brotherly and friendly country.

“Like a brother, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood by the Iraqi nation and government in all areas and through all bitter and sweet events, and will continue to do so,” said Rouhani.

The president then touched upon his upcoming visit to Iraq, expressing hope invaluable and significant agreements will be reached during the trip in order to further deepen relations between the two sides.

The Iraqi diplomat, in turn, submitted his credentials to President Rouhani and stressed his country favours closer relations with Iran on all fronts.

He said Iran is regarded as one of the most countries for Iraq, adding Baghdad seeks to further reinforce Tehran-Baghdad relations.

He expressed hope that Rouhani’s trip to Iraq will be a major step toward the further promotion of reciprocal ties.

Rouhani is set to visit Iraq on March 11 in his first trip to the neighbouring state during his 5-year term in office. While in Iraq, he is scheduled to meet with senior Iraqi officials, including Prime Minister Adel Abdulmahdi, and top Shiite cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani.

Iran, Azerbaijan Discuss Promotion of Ties

During the Saturday talks, various aspects of bilateral ties were discussed with a focus on development of economic cooperation between the two neighbouring states.

They also exchanged views on the most important regional and international issues.

The visit of top Azeri diplomat came a few days after the trip of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Tehran, which caused concerns in Baku given the ongoing dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

In reaction to the concerns, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said last week Tehran’s policy towards the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute has not changed, and the country is still prepared to help Armenia and Azerbaijan Republic settle the dispute peacefully.

“As I have repeated time and again, the Islamic Republic of Iran has a clear, transparent and clear-cut stance towards all its neighbours,” said the spokesman.

“The top priority of Iran’s foreign policy is its neighbours. We are keen on having strong ties with our neighbours based on mutual respect and non-interference in [each other’s] domestic affairs and at the same time seeking to further expand our relations,” Qassemi noted.

“In our estimation, Iran’s relations with any of the neighbouring countries will, undoubtedly, not be against the interests of a third country, be it one of the neighbours or another country in the world,” he added.

US Doubles Trade with Iran but Bans Europe, Asia: Germany

The remarks were made in a tweet by Miguel Berger, the Director-General for Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, who also serves as German envoy in the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX), the special payment channel created by Europe to facilitate trade with Tehran in the face of the US sanctions.

He referred to the growing US exports to Iran in 2018 and said this comes as European firms are banned from trading with the country.

“The US trade with Iran has more than doubled in 2018, the highest level in ten years. At the same time European companies are discouraged from doing business with the country,” he was quoted as saying in a report by Fars news agency.

US President Donald Trump who had described the Iran nuclear deal as a catastrophe during his presidential campaign unilaterally withdrew from the accord in May 2018. Since then, his administration has launched an extensive campaign to ban foreign firms from establishing any trade ties with the Islamic Republic.

Reports by European media say the US treasury officials have directly contacted CEOs of European firms to warn them against direct trade ties with Iran.

Based on a table released by the German official, the trade volume between the US and Iran in 2018 stood at over $503m including more than 435m exports of American products to Iran. On the other hand, Iran exported nearly $70m worth of products during last year. In overall, according to the table, the trade balance between the US and Iran was $367.5m in 2018.

This comes as during the same period in previous year (2017), the trade volume between the two sides stood at $200m. The US exports to and imports from Iran stood at $136m and $63.1m respectively. Meanwhile the trade balance between the two sides was nearly $73m, the table suggests.

A comparison between the figures of the last two years reveals that the US trade balance with Iran increased by five times in 2018 compared with the previous year.

The growing trade volume comes as due to the sanctions re-imposed by the US on Iran following Trump’s unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA, any trading with Iran requires permission by the US Treasury Department.

Berger attended an economic forum on Wednesday and held talks with Germany’s business leaders on the INSTEX.

“We held important discussions during the forum with a focus on INTEXT and ways to implement the mechanism,” he noted.

The INSTEX is a special-purpose vehicle established in January 2019 by France, Germany and the United Kingdom to facilitate non-dollar trade with Iran. The vehicle is headquartered in Paris, France, and is headed by German national Per Fischer, who formerly served as Head of Financial Institutions at Commerzbank, between 2003 and 2014.

Back in February, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russia will seek to participate in INSTEX.

The mechanism has not become operational yet. If implemented, the European officials say, the mechanism will only cover food and medicine products in its earlier stages.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said earlier that Iran still doesn’t know how the INSTEX works, and asked Europe to pay more attention to this issue and take it seriously.

Iran Leader Appoints Ayatollah Raisi as New Judiciary Chief

Ayatollah Khamenei made the appointment on Thursday through an official decree, naming Raeisi to replace Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, who served in the position for nine years.

In his decree, the Leader cited the knowledge, experience, and efficiency displayed by Raeisi at various junctures and his long-term service in the Judiciary as the basis of his decision.

Raeisi was the Islamic Republic’s former attorney general and, up to his appointment as the Judiciary chief, was the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, the organization managing the affairs of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH), the eighth Shia Imam.

The Thursday decree also featured Ayatollah Khamenei’s opinion on the Judicial Development Document proposed by Raeisi.

The Leader called the document “beneficial and efficacious,” but advised that first and foremost, the new Judiciary chief should work out a timeline for the implementation of its entire content and commit both himself and his colleagues to its comprehensive fulfillment.

Secondly, Ayatollah Khamenei recommended that the new judicial document must pay due attention to people while being of a revolutionary nature and dedicated to fighting corruption.

Then, the Leader required enlisting by the Judiciary of “qualified human resources,” and called on the branch to promote justice and also revitalize public rights and legitimate freedoms.

Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned Raeisi against preferential treatment and advised him to employ “qualified, revolutionary, and eruditely youths” in the Judiciary’s various positions.

As a high point, the Leader also requested that the Judiciary, under its new headship, work closely and synergistically with the country’s executive and legislative branches.

IRGC Chief Says US Losing Power on World Stage

general-mohammad-ali-jafari

“The US today is much weaker than what it was four decades ago,” General Jafari said Thursday.

The decline in Washington’s power comes as Iran’s might is now unique and exemplary, he added.

“We have made progress in equipping our missiles and drones and different types of weapons with cutting-edge technology with reliance on domestic capabilities and scientific potential, which shows elements other than material factors contribute to progress,” he said.

He said people play a key role in securing victory and progress.

“If it weren’t for the people during the security incidents in 1999, 2009 and 2018, it is not clear what would have happened,” said the top commander.

“The [wave of] sedition in 2009 took around 8 months, but it was much more dangerous that the [Iraqi] imposed war [on Iran in the 1980s] because everyone had mobilized to sow discord under the pretext of politics and elections and to hatch a major plot against the country,” he noted.

“Using the very same approach of triggering coloured revolutions, they toppled regimes in many countries and thought Iran was like Ukraine,” he said.

He said God Almighty has created enemies “fools” as they do not know what the secret to the Iranian nation’s victory is and fail to understand it.

“Unfortunately, some inside the country follow this path and instill wrong impressions into the society, which plays into the enemies’ hands,” the top commander said.

Iran Strongly Condemns Suicide Attack in Kabul

“By conducting such moves, terrorist groups, including the ISIS, seek to create terror and rifts within the ranks of the Afghan government and people,” Qassemi said in a statement released on Thursday night.

The spokesman said “the vigilance of all Afghan state entities and people holds the key to stopping these groups from achieving their evil goals.”

“By taking such inhumane, indiscriminate and aimless actions, the ISIS has the pious wish of throwing its weight around and making up for its defeats in Syria and Iraq,” Qassemi said.

“Undoubtedly, the will of, and cooperation and solidarity between the Afghan government and people can contribute heavily to the purging of terrorism from this country, which we are sure will happen sooner or later.”

“This is what Iran longs to see happen in Afghanistan as a friendly neighbour,” he added.

At least three people were killed and 22 injured when a gathering of members and leaders of the Shiite Hazara community in Kabul was struck by rockets on Thursday.

Also present at the event were Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and former President Hamid Karzai.

The ceremony was held to mark the 24th anniversary of the death of Shiite Hazara leader Abdul Ali Mazari.

Iran Urges India, Pakistan to Settle Differences Peacefully

He made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Thursday afternoon.

During the talks, Zarif also underlined the need for peaceful settlement of differences in the region through dialogue.

The two sides also conferred on the latest developments in bilateral ties as well as regional issues.

On February 14, Indian paramilitary forces on the India-controlled side of Kashmir were hit by a deadly bomb attack orchestrated by Pakistan-based militants.

Tensions between the historical archrivals reached a peak later, when India said it had conducted “preemptive” airstrikes against what it described was a militant training camp in the town of Balakot in western Pakistan.

The countries’ Air Forces then engaged in a dogfight that brought down an Indian warplane.

Islamabad returned the aircraft’s captured pilot to India on Friday in, what Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan had called, “a peace gesture.”

During the escalation, the two militaries also exchanged fire over the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between the countries. The firefight has killed several people on both sides.
