Iran Condoles with Ansarullah Chief over Brother’s Death

Ibrahim Badreddin al-Houthi

“There is no doubt that this great crime, along with other crimes committed so far in the unsuccessful war against the Yemeni nation, indicates the weakness and desperation of hawkish aggressors and mercenaries in confrontation with Yemeni forces,” Zarif said in a Saturday night message.

“The crime will not only fail to weaken the resolve and morale of the patient and resilient nation of Yemen, but will further put on show the rightfulness of this brave nation,” Zarif noted.

“I condole with you, your respected family, and the resilient and patient nation of Yemen on the martyrdom of your struggling brother Ibrahim Badreddin al-Houthi,” he said.

“I beseech merciful God to have mercy and bestow highest divine rewards on the honourable martyr, and give great patience and reward to you and your respectable family,” he added.

Yemen’s Interior Ministry announced on Friday that the “treacherous hands affiliated with the US-Israeli aggression and its tools have assassinated Ibrahim Badreddin al-Houthi.”

The statement did not provide any further details regarding al-Houthi’s assassination, who is said to have been an influential military commander among the Houthi forces.

Other Yemeni sources reported that al-Houthi’s body, along with a number of Houthi commanders, had been discovered in a house following a Saudi strike in the city of Haddeh in Yemen’s west-central province of Sana’a.

Informed Yemeni sources later said security forces have uncovered the cell behind the assassination.

The sources, requesting not to be named, told Lebanon-based Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network that Yemeni security forces had managed to capture 80 percent of the members of the cell, adding that they are undergoing an in-depth investigation.

The sources further noted that the detainees had confessed to having affiliation with the Saudi intelligence agency, and said they had received orders from a militia leader when former president Ali Abdullah Saleh was in power.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

Iran’s Top General Expresses Concern over Kashmir Crisis

Iran Will Definitely Change Approach to UAE: Top General

He expressed the concern in a telephone conversation with the Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday.

During the talks, General Baqeri said taking military approaches in this region will make the situation more complicated.

General Baqeri further discussed the latest security situation at the joint borders, military-security relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, regional developments and especially the situation in Kashmir.

Congratulating his Pakistani counterpart on Eid-al Adha, the Iranian top general highlighted the need to remain calm to manage the events in Kashmir.

“We hope that through political efforts, we will secure the real rights of the Muslim people of the region and avoid hurting the sentiments of the Muslim nations,” he added.

He also expressed regret over the current political and security situation in Afghanistan, saying that the current situation was caused by foreign intervention, especially by Western and trans-regional powers.

He said the current situation has caused more and more abuse by the terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

Therefore, he added, Afghanistan’s neighbours should, for their part, assist the Afghan government in bringing back peace and security to the region.

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff also expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its care for the Muslims saying that “we will try to make the joint borders of the two countries be the borders of peace and friendship for the people of the two countries, and we will do our best in this regard.”

Pakistan reacted with fury this week after India revoked the special status for the portion of Kashmir that it controls, calling the action illegal, a claim New Delhi denies.

“The parties are expected to refrain from any hasty decision on the fate of the (Kashmir) region, without regards to the people’s will,” General Baqeri was quoted by Fars as telling Pakistan’s army chief by telephone.

Seeking to tighten its grip on the region also claimed by neighbouring Pakistan, India this week scrapped Jammu and Kashmir’s right to frame its own laws and allowed non-residents to buy property there.

Regional leaders have warned of a backlash in the area, where militants have been fighting Indian rule for nearly 30 years, leading to the deaths of more than 50,000 people.

Nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan have fought two of their three wars over Kashmir and engaged in an aerial clash in February after a militant group based in Pakistan claimed responsibility for an attack on an Indian military convoy.

India has long accused Pakistan of funding and harbouring the groups. Islamabad denies this, saying it provides only diplomatic and moral support to non-violent separatists on the Indian side.

Iranian, Pakistani Speakers Discuss Kashmir Conflict

In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Asad Qaiser talked about the situation in Kashmir, where conflicts have escalated after the revocation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution.

In a statement carried by PTV News, Qaiser’s office said the two senior parliamentarians have discussed the critical situation in Kashmir and the escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India.

Hailing Iran as a brother and friend of Pakistan, Qaiser said Pakistan regards the Islamic Republic as a major party for consultation in the hard times.

The Pakistani National Assembly speaker has also decried India’s policy towards Kashmir, calling on the international community to address the problems of people in Kashmir and contribute to a peaceful settlement of the conflicts in that region.

Qaiser also expressed hope that Iran would employ its regional and international capacities to play a role in the resolution of tensions in the subcontinent.

For his part, Larijani hailed the brotherly ties between Tehran and Islamabad, stressing that the crisis in Kashmir must be resolved peacefully.

Iran is closely monitoring the developments in Kashmir, Larijani added, stressing the need for the settlement of conflicts in the disputed region in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Article 370 of the Indian constitution formed the basis of Kashmir’s accession to India and gave the state of Jammu and Kashmir its own constitution and decision-making rights, but India’s Hindu-nationalist government revoked the special status of Indian administered Kashmir on August 5.

In the lead-up to its move, India sent thousands of additional troops to the region, imposing a curfew on parts of it, shutting down telecommunications and arresting political leaders.

Both India and Pakistan claim Kashmir in full, but rule it in part. The two neighbors have fought two of their three wars over the disputed territory.

Nicaragua Eyes Closer Business Ties with Iran

The Nicaraguan economic delegation, led by the Latin American country’s Minister of Finance and Public Credit Iván Acosta, held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran on Saturday.

The meeting revolved around the ways to broaden bilateral cooperation between the two countries in different fields, particularly the pharmaceutical industry, trade, banking interaction, and agriculture.

In the talks with Zarif, Acosta pointed to the agreement on encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments that he and Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Farhad Dejpasand signed earlier in the day, saying there exists ample opportunities for the promotion of mutual cooperation between Tehran and Managua.

Highlighting Nicaragua’s great potential for extra-territorial cultivation of agricultural products, Acosta called for the promotion of cooperation with Iran in all areas, particularly the pharmaceutical industry and agriculture.

Last month, Foreign Minister Zarif visited Nicaragua during a tour of Americas, and held several meetings with senior Nicaraguan officials, including President Daniel Ortega.

The high-level meetings resulted in an agreement on preparing a roadmap for economic, trade, financial, and industrial cooperation among Iran, Nicaragua, and the regional countries.

Iran Urges World Bodies to Stand against US Ban on Zarif

In a letter to the chief of the United Nations and other international organisations, the Iranian diplomat has slammed the US administration’s move as an unlawful and undiplomatic motion against the Islamic Republic.

He objected that Minister Zarif has been sanctioned for representing the Iranian nation to the best of his ability and for being a sincere advocate for dialogue, diplomacy, peace and multilateralism.

Gharibabadi went on to say that this is the latest case of numerous unlawful actions taken by the US administration in line with the so-called “maximum pressure” policy against Tehran.

“[The strategy] instigates economic terrorism against the Iranian nation which has been exacerbated in past 15 months after Washington’s unlawful unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal and bold insolence of UNSC Resolution 2231.”

The Iranian diplomat has further stated in his letter that the US arbitrary decision to sanction foreign minister of another state for no reason other than representing his nation and the State divulges the invertible duplicity of Washington’s officials in their conflicting remarks.

“It also contradicts the established principles and rules of diplomatic law and inter-state ties, especially the principle of inviolability and immunity of high-ranking foreign officials including the immunity of incumbent ministers of foreign affairs, as a universally accepted norm and rule of international law,” stressed Gharibabadi.

He also noted that the American resort to unilateral coercive measures against a UN member country and its foreign minister shows a serious setback to diplomacy. It also undermined the profession of diplomacy and puts in danger the diplomatic interaction as the recognised medium for State-to-State communication and engagement.

He noted that the restrictions levied on minister Zarif during his recent visit to New York to attend the UN meetings were against Article 105(2) of the UN Charter regarding the privileges of representatives of member states.

“It is also infringement of the 1946 Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations and the firm principles of international customary law enshrined in 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.”

Gharibabadi has further warned of the consequences of Washington’s unabated infringement of the foundation of inter-State dialogue, international cooperation and multilateralism. Addressing the UN, he underlined that by sanctioning Zarif, a globally commended diplomat who has greatly contributed to world peace through his engagement, the US administration has displayed its deep contempt.

“The UN, its subsidiary bodies and specialsed agencies as well as all its member states must stand together in defending the principles of international law which would have negative impacts for the institution of diplomacy and its vital functioning,” concludes Gharibabadi’s letter.

The Trump administration imposed sanctions on Iran’s foreign minister, striking the main diplomatic channel between Iran and the West. The US secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, said Zarif had been targeted because he acted on behalf of Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

“Foreign Minister Zarif is a key enabler of Ayatollah Khamenei’s policies throughout the region and around the world,” Pompeo said in a written statement. “The designation of Javad Zarif today reflects this reality.”

Zarif responded quickly on Twitter, shrugging off the significance of the US move.

“The US’ reason for designating me is that I am Iran’s ‘primary spokesperson around the world’ Is the truth really that painful?” he asked. “It has no effect on me or my family, as I have no property or interests outside of Iran. Thank you for considering me such a huge threat to your agenda.”

Zarif was the chief Iranian negotiator in the 2015 deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, from which the US withdrew in May last year. In the face of mounting US efforts to kill the agreement, the Iranian diplomat continued to meet his counterparts from Europe, Russia and China, who have been anxious to keep the deal afloat.

Upgraded Air Defence Radar System Unveiled in Iran

“This system has high capabilities and can identify all types of cruise missiles, stealth planes, drone systems and ballistic missiles for a range of 400 kilometers,” commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defence Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard said on Saturday.

The Falaq is a phased-array radar system which can be incorporated into the country’s larger integrated air defence, further improving the radar coverage of existing systems, specifically that of the S-300.

The system was developed in order to counter sanctions restricting access to spare parts of a previously foreign-developed system.

Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defence sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing military equipment and hardware despite facing sanctions and Western economic pressure.

Withstanding various international sanctions and embargoes since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has striven to develop its own military hardware as part of a general doctrine of self-reliance

Iran has consequently managed to indigenously produce a wide array of hardware, including its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles, radars, boats, submarines, unmanned aerial vehicles, and fighter planes.

‘Making strides into twenty-first century technology’

Earlier this week, the National Interest magazine published a report examining Iran’s military industry.

“Whereas [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council states spend lavishly on high-end, off-the-shelf, US-built platforms, decades of sanctions and post-revolutionary strategic decisions to be militarily self-sufficient has led Islamic Republic to focus more on its own indigenous industries” it wrote.

The report examined ongoing research and advances in Iran’s nuclear energy program, satellite program, nanotechnology research and drone systems, concluding that “Iranian engineers and scientists are adept at developing cutting edge military technologies.”

The report also highlighted Iran’s long-term research initiatives, stating that Iran has historically been a regional pioneer in adapting modern technologies.

The article also added that “Iranian military tacticians” were increasingly “incorporating artificial intelligence if not fully autonomous systems into their platforms”, to be used in military maneuvers, missile defence capabilities and drones.

The report added that based on Iran’s current ongoing military hardware improvements, Iran may soon manage to greatly reduce the gap between its military technological capabilities and that of established military technological powers.

Iran is “making strides into twenty-first century technology”, it wrote.

Former clients and prospective clients will then be keen to do business with you once they have read your card, especially if you include a personalized message. Nowadays, there are a lot of online sites where they offer to customize your card just the way you want it. Although a little bit costlier than doing it your own, this will take a lot of workloads out of your hectic schedule but can still give the same beneficial effect of sending out Christmas cards to clients and employees.

The Perfect Time to send your Christmas card

When you are going to send out your Real Estate Christmas cards, you must bear in mind that if they receive a postdated Christmas card, then it can insult your clients. They might believe that the company does not give their customers or clients due respect and value. Once you have disappointed your clients, it would be very tough for you to recover their trust in your business. It is best to send out your Christmas cards in the second week of December. This is to assure that the recipient will receive it at just the right time for the festive season.

Final Thought

Some people may think that it is not anymore necessary to make and give Christmas cards and that it is just a waste of money, time and effort. But, truth be told, this is really a great investment opportunity because clients will most probably prefer to do business with companies that appreciate and give them importance. Giving Real Estate Christmas cards is one of the best ways to keep your clients and continue doing business with them. Giving your customer a Christmas card is not just a friendly gesture, it also means that you value the significance of your working or business relationship. It is strongly recommended that you consider making a customized or personalized Real Estate Christmas card for you to maintain good business relationship both with the customers and your staff.
