Best Way to Choose Tactical Clothes

Best Way to Choose Tactical Clothes

There are different types of tactical clothing for each part of the body, from head to toe, depending on where and how you use it:

  • Head
    • Tactical caps and hats
    • Warm tactical beanies
    • Tactical and camouflage balaclavas
    • Non-ballistic tactical helmets
  • Chest
    • Heat-Locket undershirt
    • Long-sleeve shirt
    • Cooling reflective shirt
    • Tactical jackets against water, snow, wind, or cold
  • Legs
    • Arctic pants for extreme cold
    • Winter pants for cold weather
    • Lined pants for temperate conditions and rain
    • Light reflective summer pants
    • Warm fitting long underwear
  • Footwear
    • Weather-ready boots
    • Tactical sneakers

The variety is even greater if you want to expand each minutia, but the extensiveness of the list shows how far you can adapt your clothes to your mission or job to acquire as much tactical advantage as possible.

Tactical Clothes for Training or Protection

Different tasks require different clothes. When training, we need to keep our long-term health in mind and leave the grounds in better shape than we have entered. This means staying warm, dry, and with our joints intact.

But, when we are out on a mission, ideal circumstances are impossible. It is much better to need a week afterward to recover from fatigue and strain than to leave yourself exposed during a mission. Especially for combat, we need to stay versatile and in a constant tactical advantage.

Because of this difference, training clothes will always be lighter, thinner, and less constricting than regular clothes. For practice, your main concern is staying light and dry, so that you have more time to increase your strength and endurance through training. This is why most security professionals now use tactical shirts like the KCS™ Keep Cool Shirt from UARM to cool the body down and protect from extensive sunlight.

Tactical Combat Gear

Combat gear is not only meant to add to a tactical advantage when it comes to the elements and camouflage but also work in tandem with your protective and ballistic clothing. For combat, there is a larger emphasis on innerwear and tactical garment that allows for easy addition of body armor.

Also, any boots used for combat purposes need to have as much shock absorption included as possible. Due to the weight of combat gear, combined with the often difficult terrain, the pressure on your feet and joints will be increased. To prevent micro-fractures when running and jumping with body armor and weapons, increased impact absorption is necessary.

Adapt to the Situation

Allowing yourself to adapt to the situation usually means having a bit more equipment before deployment than you need. It is easy not to take something like a rain poncho or a jacket if you don’t need them.

But, if you do need them and they are not in stock you might not only lose a tactical advantage but even endanger your life. Always better safe than sorry.

Iran Warns of ‘Dire Consequences’ If Arms Embargo Extended

Iran Warns of 'Dire Consequences' If Arms Embargo Extended

Speaking in a Wednesday cabinet session, President Hassan Rouhani said he has written to the heads of state of the P4+1 and told them that the return of arms embargo will lead to a historic failure for them.

He stressed that the United States and some other countries must know Iran will not accept any violation of the Resolution 2231 at all.

“Iran will not accept violation of UNSCR’s 2231 Resolution because it is the Islamic Republic’s absolute right to see arms embargo lifted.”

He went on to say that the US knows Iran will soon achieve success in lifting the arms embargo in the coming months.

“The United States has just come to its senses and regrets leaving the nuclear deal because the arms embargo will be lifted, and Israel and Saudi Arabia will soon tell [Donald] Trump it was wrong to leave the JCPOA. The JCPOA will no longer exist for the United States,” he reiterated.

Rouhani added that on May 8, 2018, the US withdrew from the JCPOA under pressure from domestic extremists, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. “It was a foolish act,” he said.

“They imagined if they leave the nuclear deal, we will withdraw from it too, but we didn’t, and Trump’s dream did not come true. Trump’s first shot missed and they got very angry. All of Trump‘s advisers said Iran would leave the same day and they would take the case to the Security Council the day after.”

“Then, we gave P4+1 a deadline and extended it. In total, it took a year. On May 8, 2019, we terminated the deadline announcing we will start reducing the commitments step by step. In five stages, we reduced the commitments. Now we are even; that is, we have stepped back from our commitments, and the P4+1 has largely stepped back,” he noted.

“Whenever they are willing to fulfill their obligations in full, we will return to our commitments on the same day,” underscored Rouhani.

Since one or two months ago, the Americans have come to their senses and realised they have made a big mistake, said Rouhani, noting the Americans are caught between and if they continue, the arms embargo will soon be removed.

“If they decide to return to the nuclear agreement to use the snapback mechanism, there is no nuclear deal anymore (for them). For the United States, the JCPOA is over, unless they make up for all their mistakes and set aside sanctions,” he added.

In the conversation, the Iranian president’s chief of staff commended the Republic of Azerbaijan for its timely decision to convene an online summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Contact Group, adding, “The Republic of Azerbaijan, as the holder of the NAM presidency, not only did not allow the coronavirus outbreak to prevent the summit meeting, but also took a valuable step in coordinating collective action among the countries in the battle with the disease by choosing the issue of coronavirus as the main topic of the conference.”

Vaezi also expressed hope that the stances and solutions mooted in the NAM summit would help the countries to join hands to overcome such global challenge and stand against the parties that seek to take advantage of these problems.

He further expressed satisfaction with the growing trend in the cooperation and relations between Tehran and Baku regardless of the coronavirus outbreak, saying Iran hopes that the relations would continue to grow with a rapid pace.

For his part, Hajiev conveyed Azeri President Ilham Aliyev’s gratitude to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani for participation in the online summit of the NAM Contact Group and for the topics of his speech in the conference, saying it would strengthen the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Republic of Azerbaijan attaches great significance to the promotion of cooperation with Iran in all fields, Hajiev added, noting that President Aliyev has made it clear for all Azeri authorities that the outbreak of coronavirus should not obstruct the growing trend in cooperation between Baku and Tehran.

He finally expressed hope that the two neighbors would strengthen economic and trade cooperation and exchanges by observing the health protocols and sharing the experiences in the battle with COVID-19.

3,000-Year-Old Village of Qerveh: A Major Tourist Attraction in Iran

3,000-Year-Old Village of Qerveh 15

The village lies next to a road connecting Takestan to Abhar and, geographically speaking, is located on a natural plain. Villagers basically raise cattle or work on farms. They earn a living by producing and selling dairy products and handicrafts.

The Abhar river snakes through the Qerveh village, making land green and fertile. Part of a mass of limestone dating back to the Quaternary (fourth) geological era is located to the north of the river. The mass of limestone is formed in such a way that the rough surface stands much higher than the ground. It seems locals have taken advantage of this feature to build their village in such a way that it enjoys a high level of safety and immune to highwaymen and looters.

Accordingly, they have constructed village homes on that mass of rock in such a way that the outer walls of homes are vertically level with the wall of the limestone mass. This way, the walls of homes lie exactly on top of the stone walls, making the village impenetrable.
It seems the pathway into the village was designed while taking safety issues into account. The remains of homes built into the mountain are conspicuously evident, creating a picturesque view.

The historical monuments in the village include the Great Mosque, an ancient bridge over the Abhar river and several watermills dating back to the Safavid era. Dating back 1,025 thousand years, the Qerveh Great Mosque is one of the monuments built in the Seljuk era and has a unique architecture.

Barbara Rizzoli, Head of the ICRC Delegation in Tehran, says the Islamic Republic has covered a wide range of activities in various fields, including prevention and treatment.

She said the Iranian Red Crescent Society, along with the health ministry and other responsible institutions, has played an important role in dealing with COVID-19.

She noted the measures takrn by Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) included rapid diagnosis and screening as well as providing health care and shelter to the patients, but the most important activity of this society has been informing the public about health care.

Speaking on n a meeting with Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Karim Hemmati in Tehran, she noted the ICRC has supported the IRCS as much as it could.

“One of the contributions was the payment of CHF 500,000 to the Iranian Red Crescent Society to use in containing the disease.”

Rizzoli also referred to the joint moves and other support of the ICRC for the IRCS, underlining that “supporting joint measures is one of our activities. For example, the committee has cooperated with the Iranian Red Crescent Society in educating people about the dangers of landmines and producing educational content about COVID-19 disease.”

“In the eastern parts of the country, specifically in Mashhad, we support a non-governmental organisation in providing personal protective equipment because we believe during the outbreak some activities become more important; therefore, we should pay more attention to them.”

Red Cross Hails Iran’s Achievements in Coping with Coronavirus 2She further referred to the International Red Cross Movement communications network, including the ICRC, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as more than 200 other societies, saying this network is a guarantee for the national societies to be able to use the best methods, and at the same time communicate with each other.

The Head of the ICRC Delegation in Tehran also stressed the important role of national societies in dealing with the crises such as COVID-19.

“Due to their geographical proximity to people, the national societies can reach out to the affected people as soon as possible and support them, as the Iranian Red Crescent Society is doing the same these days,” highlighted Rizzoli.

At this meeting, the head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society Karim Hemmati also expressed there is a close connection between the IRCS and the ICRC, saying this cooperation has expanded due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Every year the ICRC celebrates World Red Cross Red Crescent Day on May 8 to get the people relieved from the natural calamities and other disastrous activities in any country.
