Those Condemning Trump Today Succumbed to His Lawlessness for 4 Years: Iran

“Those who succumbed to Trump’s lawless bullying for four years — to protect their skin at OUR people’s expense — now condemn his assault on the rule of law,” Zarif tweeted on Friday.

However, he added, they “still try to use his economic terrorism against Iran as ‘leverage’.”

“If you can’t grow a spine, gain foresight—for your own sake,” he added.

Zarif did not refer to any country or individual by name, but European countries, mainly France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, which were and continue to be a party to the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, had over the course of Trump’s four-year term effectively succumbed to his anti-Iran policies by refusing to uphold their own end of the bargain, citing US pressure.

Less importantly, some US foreign policy columnists, including Thomas L. Friedman and Bret Stephens, have in the past attempted to promote the idea that Biden could use the Trump sanctions as leverage against Iran instead of returning to the Iran deal — as the incoming president has pledged — and terminating those sanctions, which were imposed in violation of the 2015 deal with Iran after Trump unilaterally withdrew his country from the agreement.

Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran deal was not the only time the US president reneged on America’s international commitments. His single term was marked by unilateral pullouts from major international and bilateral accords and organizations.

That lawless attitude came under the spotlight when Trump on Wednesday incited a mob of his supporters to storm the US Capitol building as lawmakers were in the process of confirming the electoral victory of Biden. Trump has refused to concede his defeat even as Biden has garnered a wide margin of Electoral College and popular votes against him in the November 2020 election. The defeated US president has been making baseless accusations that the election was rigged.

During the Wednesday mayhem, armed Trump supporters breached the Capitol as lawmakers took shelter in their offices. While security staff was initially overwhelmed, police were later deployed and ended the chaos. At least five people were killed during the mob assault.

60‌ Million Iranians to Receive COVID-19 Vaccine in 4 Phases: Rouhani

Iran Policies to Remain Unchanged No Matter Who Becomes US President: Rouhani

President Hassan Rouhani noted on Saturday that one of the serious demands by people is to have immediate access to the COVID-19 vaccine, but they must rest assured that the government has adopted all necessary measures to produce the vaccine in the country and purchase safe vaccines from abroad.

“Due to problems caused by cruel and illegal sanctions, we had been busy dealing with difficulties with regards to the transfer of money to procure foreign vaccines,” he added.

President Rouhani said foreign companies wanted to test their vaccines on the Iranian people, but the Health Ministry declined the offer, as the government will not turn Iranian people into subjects for the trial of foreign vaccines.

President Rouhani also said he was happy to see the infection and death rate caused by the coronavirus disease has dropped in the country.

“Despite the spread of the coronavirus in some parts of the world, the trend of the disease in Iran has been on the decline because people observed health protocols and regulations,” he said.

However, he added, health protocols still need to be observed and gatherings should be avoided to help further contain the deadly virus.

President Rouhani underlined “blue” areas have also been added to the previous categories of “yellow, orange and red” areas in terms of coronavirus.

He said all businesses are open and doing their work in blue areas, but that does not mean the coronavirus has been eradicated in these areas.

Biden Administration Will Have to Submit to Iran’s Demands: VP

Es’haq Jahangiri said they will also have to regret their actions.

“New US leaders will have to show remorse for the past. They will have to return to international agreements, and then we will proudly see sanctions lifted,” he added.

The vice president further said US President Donald Trump even did not care about the people of his own country, let alone Iranians.

“Trump is leaving after a mess they made in Washington (the attack on US Congress),” Jahangiri noted.

Jahangiri said the incident happened inside the United States under Trump’s watch, adding Trump also left no stone unturned to harm the Iranian nation and deal a blow to the Islamic Revolution.

Iranian Miniature: A Unique, Fabulous School of Art

The Iranian miniature has different themes, including legendary, mythical, religious and literary.

Different methods are used in this art, namely the painting of flowers and birds and illumination.
Moreover, Iranian miniaturists have never cut off their relationship with domestic poetry, legends, myths and ways of thought as well as national heroes and Iranian traditions and lifestyles.

Miniature Art Registered on UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage

These concepts have always been an integral part of Iranian miniaturists’ works and give the Iranian miniature a unique character which distinguishes it from the arts of other countries although the Iranian miniature does have much common ground with other Asian schools of art.

Paintings on the walls of the ancient monument Chelsotoon in the central city of Isfahan are among the best examples of decorative designs associated with Iranian architecture.

These wall paintings depict historical events in the Safavid era and onwards. The paintings are drawn with conventional literary concepts and images of plants in the style of the Isfahani school of art.

Iran Inaugurates Several Major Knowledge-Based Projects

The projects belonging to the Agriculture Ministry as well as the Science and Technology Department of the President’s Office were put into service in the provinces of Alborz, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Fars and Khorassan Razavi.

The five projects which came with an overall price tag of Rls. 4.52 trillion have created more than 7,000 jobs.

The projects include the production line for the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine with the capacity of producing 30 million doses of the vaccine annually, the plan to produce a bird flu vaccine with a capacity of producing 300 million doses per year in Alborz province, a versatile industrial gamma ray system to sterilize medical equipment, foodstuffs and agricultural produce in Shahredord city in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, as well as innovation factories in the provinces of Khorassan Razavi and Fars.

Iran Develops System to Disinfect Ozone Gas

CEO of the firm Bita Mehravi says it is the first time that such a device has been made.

“The disinfection system can be used at home, in industrial settings and in hospitals, and is capable of disinfect the ozone gas,” she said.

She said the ozone gas is detrimental to human health, but has strong antiseptic properties.

“The system’s innovation is that after the disinfection process ends with the help of nanotechnology, ozone is turned into oxygen and will have no hazards for humans and the environment alike,” she noted.

“This apparatus is an environmentally-friendly one, is capable of disinfecting all instruments which are not sensitive to ozone, and has received permits from the Food and Drug Organization as well as the reliable environmental laboratory,” she said.

“No similar systems have been developed so far, and at the moment, we are holding talks with a number of Italian and German companies to open its production line in Europe,” she said.

“This apparatus is very cost-effective and needs no detergents,” the CEO said.

“Among other features of the system is that it creates no sensitivity and it is safe for humans,” she said.

Dark Day for Iran Daily Rise in COVID-19 Fatalities at Highest Level Ever

In a press briefing on Friday, the Ministry’s spokeswoman Sima-Sadat Lari reported 6,251 new cases of COVID-19 infection, raising the total number of cases to 1,274,514.

So far, Lari added, 1,058,654 patients have recovered from the disease or been discharged from the hospital.

Iran’s Leader Bans Import of American, British COVID-19 Vaccines

“The import of American and British vaccines is prohibited. If Americans had managed to produce a vaccine, they would not be facing such a fiasco today in their own country,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a Friday speech.

He said some 4,000 people died of coronavirus in a single day in the US a few days ago, and if this Pfizer company had developed an effective vaccine, it would have prevented that from happening.

“I really don’t trust them. Sometimes they want to test the vaccine on other nations,” he added.

He said he is not optimistic about France as well after the infected blood scandal in the 1990s.

“However, it is OK if they [government officials] would want to supply the vaccine from other reliable sources,” the Leader added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and said Tehran is in no rush and does not insist on the US return to the multilateral deal.

“If they lift the sanctions, their return to JCPOA means something; otherwise, their return to the deal may be detrimental to Iran,” the Leader said.

He said the recent decision made by the Iranian Parliament and the government to stop Iran’s commitments was a rational, logical and acceptable move.

“When the other side does not implement any of its commitments, there is no point for Iran to fulfil all its commitments,” he said.

However, the Leader noted, if they return to their commitments, we will do the same.

IRGC Unveils Underground Missile Base in Persian Gulf

This photo shows an underground missile base in a Persian Gulf coast unveiled by IRGC in January 2020.

In his visit to the missile base, General Salami was accompanied by IRGC Navy Commander Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit to the units and missile systems deployed in the base, General Salami the base is one of the several bases housing the Navy’s strategic missiles.

“These missiles have ranges of hundreds of kilometres, enjoy pinpoint accuracy and huge destruction power, and can overcome the enemy’s electronic warfare equipment.

He said the IRGC Navy’s missiles are among the world’s most advanced missiles used in coast-to-sea, air-to-air, air-to-sea, and sea-to-air battles.

He made it clear that the country is going to reinforce its power in order to defend its territorial integrity.

World Concerned by Trump’s ‘Unchecked Authority’ to Start Nuke War: Iran

“A rogue president who sought vengeance against his OWN people has been doing much worse to our people—and others—in the past 4 years,” Zarif said in a Thursday tweet.

“What’s disturbing is that the same man has the UNCHECKED authority to start a nuclear war; a security concern for the entire int’l community,” he added. In his controversial four-year term in office, Trump pulled Washington out of several international agreements, including the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) and the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty with Russia.

By leaving the agreements, he stopped the US commitment to underway regimes that are aimed at reducing the threat of nuclear weapons to the world.
