Iranian military vehicle catches fire near Tehran

Tehran’s deputy governor has said that a road crash involving a military vehicle on a suburb of the Iranian capital caused a fire, ruling out any sabotage.

The incident happened on the road to the town of Varamin south of Tehran on Friday afternoon.

According to Nayebi, Tehran’s deputy governor, the fire broke out due to a technical problem in the vehicle carrying weapons and military equipment.

The deputy governor of Tehran added, the accident left no casualties or significant material damage.

He also ruled out the possibility of sabotage.
