Agh-Gol Wetland Hosting Colourful Flamingos

Agh-Gol had been drained for years because of its water share being cut by Markazi province authorities, and there was no life in it. Now the wetland is full of water and has turned into the habitat of many migratory birds.

What follows are ISNA’s photos of Agh-Gol wetland and its beautiful birds these days:

Egg Fried without Fire in Blistering Heat of Southern Iran

Summer is only a few days old, but the northern hemisphere is already facing down a big-time heat wave.

Many cities in southern and south-western Iran experience extremely hot temperatures in late spring and during summer.

Shahdad Desert, which is part of the Lut Desert in south-central Iran, is said to be the hottest place on Earth. They call this place ‘Gandom Beryan’, which means roasted grain.

The temperature in Lut Desert can exceed 70˚C in the shade, which makes it even hotter than ‘Death Valley’ in California.

Last year, the south-western Iranian city of Ahvaz soared to a brutal 54 degrees, which is Iran’s highest temperature ever recorded.

It’s also one of the world’s hottest reliably measured temperatures and the highest June temperature in Asia on record.

Scorching heat is one of the most expected outcomes of man-made climate change, according to a 2016 report from the National Academy of Sciences and a 2015 study in Nature Climate Change.

Zarif Downplays Trump’s Claim that He Stopped Iran War

Zarif made the remarks in an address to a Conference in Tehran on Tuesday marking the anniversary of the 1987 chemical bombing of the Iranian city of Sardasht by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hossein, who was backed and armed by the US and its allies.

His comments came in reaction to Trump’s Friday tweet that he had stopped a military strike on Iran on Thursday 10 minutes before the beginning of the attack, after he learned that 150 Iranians would get killed.

Zarif directly addressed Trump on Tuesday, asking him, “Were you really worried about the lives of 150 Iranians? How many people have you killed with chemical weapons? How many generations have you destroyed with such weapons?”

Iran’s top diplomat further called the survivors of Saddam’s chemical weapons “the living document” of Iranian people’s resistance against the enemies and said in addition to the defensive capabilities against the world powers, the victims serve as Iran’s preemptive capital and means in the face of enemies.

“Where is Saddam today? Where is Chemical Ali (Saddam’s intelligence chief and defence minister Ali Hassan al-Majid) today? Where are those who committed crime against our people. Today, we stand proudly due to your presence,” he said.

According to the Iranian foreign minister, Saddam began to use chemical weapons against Iran in the early days of its invasion of the country and this was regularly reported to the UN but the UN Security Council never found it urgent to hold a meeting on the crime.

“The then UN chief sent six delegations on various occasions to Iran based on our repeated calls and the delegations visited Iranian hospitals and talked to the victims. Their reports left no room for doubt about Saddam’s use of chemical weapons but despite this, no action or word of protest was made by the international community,” he said.

Zarif said those who claim chemical weapons are their red line remained silent towards Saddam’s crimes against the Iranian people.

“If you had stopped Saddam then, today the ISIS wouldn’t dare to use chemical weapons against the people of Iraq and Syria. And even today, we see that the western powers are trying to cover up the crimes by their affiliated groups,” he said.

Zarif said Iran was among the first countries which joined the Chemical Weapons Convention at the order of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. “We were among the first countries which destroyed our chemical storage but the US has not yet destroyed its chemical storage and the Zionist regime has not even joined the convention.”

He called Iran a pioneer in fight against chemical weapons and said based on its religious belief, the Islamic Republic has never been after producing such weapons.

Iran to Export Homegrown Medicines from Turkey to 20 Countries

Secretary of the Biotechnology Development of the Vice Presidency, Mustapha Qaneie, said considering the country’s progress over the past 25 years in the field of producing new medicines, a production unit has recently been launched in Turkey that produces medicines for special diseases.

The exclusive products of this knowledge-based company as part of the activities of Iranian specialists will be exported to 20 countries of the world from Turkey. These medicines are worth 100 million USD, ISNA quoted Qaneie as saying.

For a brief review of Iran’s achievements in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review – 2019”

According to him, this manufacturing unit that meets the needs of Turkey has been established by eight Iranian experts with the aim of exporting Iranian knowledge and products.

“Iran has a good stance in the field of biotechnology in the world. We are trying to introduce the country’s capabilities in the field of the production of biological medicines with the help of domestic specialists,” concluded Qaneie.

New Bans Show US Offer of Talks ‘Sheer Lie’: Iran President

rouhani

By imposing sanction against Iran’s foreign minister, the US once again proved it is lying about seeking negotiation with Tehran, Rouhani said in an address to a Tuesday meeting in Tehran.

He also pointed to the US bans on the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and said, “The Leader’s assets include a prayer site and a simple house. Our leaders are not like leaders of other countries who have billions [of dollars, etc.] in their foreign bank accounts.”

He said the US must be out of its mind because it says it wants to ban Iran’s Leader from travelling to the United States.

“It is us who won’t let you in [our country], now you are saying that you won’t let us in?” he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rouhani took a swipe at the US for unilaterally withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

He said Washington claimed the JCPOA was a bad agreement and pulled out of it accordingly, and now, is angry that Iran is scaling back its commitments under the deal.
Rouhani further dismissed US sanctions on Iran as a crime against humanity.

“The White House’s new measures [against Iran] are a sign of their desperation and confusion in dealing with Iran,” said the president.

He said the White House suffers from “mental disability.”

President Rouhani also touched upon Iran shooting down a US spy drone days ago.

“From a military perspective, it is difficult to spot a drone because of its small size, special structural design, its aerodynamic shape and its color. Moreover, such drones fly at altitudes of more than 50,000 or 60,000 feet,” he said.

He hailed Iranian forces for immediately shooting down the unmanned aerial vehicle just minutes after violating the country’s airspace.

“Sometimes when a drone violates a country’s airspace, that country confronts the unmanned aerial vehicle after, let’s say, an hour. But sometimes you react right in the very early minutes after the drone violates the airspace,” he said.

He said the drone was shot down after ignoring Iran’s warnings.

“The U-S drone was coming in from the international waters when it entered the space above our territorial waters. It received warnings right after violating our airspace, but it took no heed of the warnings and continued violating the country’s airspace,” he said.

President Rouhani also praised Iranian military experts for having developed the air defense system used to bring down the American drone.

“[After ignoring Iran’s warnings] the drone was shot down immediately, using a domestically-developed system. If we had shot it down with, for example, the S-300 air defense system, that would be something ordinary. But we shot down the drone with an Iranian-made system, whose missile and radar were Iranian-made as well. It means, we spotted and locked the aircraft with an Iranian-made radar, and targeted it with an Iranian-made rocket. It is no mean feat,” he noted.

UN Security Council Calls on Iran, US to Sit for Talks

In a statement on Monday, the UN Security Council condemned the latest attacks on oil tankers in the Persian Gulf and urged all parties “to exercise maximum restraint and take measures and actions to reduce escalation and tension.”

The council said the tanker attacks represent “a serious threat to maritime navigation and energy supply,” but did not blame any country for the incidents.

The statement was read Monday after closed consultations and a briefing on the attacks by UN peacekeeping chief Rosemary DiCarlo.

The UN’s most powerful body says the attacks also violate international rules on freedom of navigation and maritime transport and threaten international peace and security.

The United States has blamed Iran for the latest attacks, but Tehran has denied any involvement.

Council members are urging “that differences must be addressed peacefully and through dialogue.”

France, Germany and the United Kingdom also warned that increased tensions in the Persian Gulf following a US drone’s intrusion into the Iranian airspace “risk miscalculation and conflict.”

The three countries called for “de-escalation and dialogue” in a joint statement Monday after the closed UN Security Council consultations.

Iran Bans Segregating Foreign Students from Nationals

Deputy Head of Elementary Schools at the ministry said the first step was to educate all Iranian and non-Iranian students and the next major step is to institutionalise non-discriminated education for children and adolescents across the country.

Rezvan Hakimzadeh said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that it is prohibited to segregate foreign students from Iranians at schools.

“At the moment, we are mostly discussing how to improve the quality of the students’ presence at the educational environment. In a letter sent to all schools, it has been stressed that there should not be any discrimination between foreign and Iranian nationals in the educational environment. The foreign students can participate in all artistic-cultural competitions, camps, etc.”

Hakimzadeh further added that international community has admired Iran’s efforts to pay the cost of foreign students’ education without getting subsidies.

“Moreover, we must prepare the conditions for their education so that they do not feel isolated from the Iranian society,” he concluded.

Over the past 40 years Iran has been hosting 3 million Afghans who fled wars and conflicts in their country.

There are 452,000 refugee and displaced students in Iran, from which 420,000 are Afghans studying at different levels for free.

Simple Guide to Recovery of Permanently Deleted Files on Windows 10

When most users try to delete a file in Windows, they will highlight the item in question and then hit the Delete key on their keyboard. You can also right-click on a file or an entire folder to choose a deletion option there as well. This process will send the data to your Recycle Bin, which allows you to restore the file with a couple of clicks.

If you accidentally hit the Shift and Delete keys on your keyboard at the same time, then the command you give Windows is different. This shortcut will permanently delete the file. You will encounter this problem if you empty your Recycle Bin on your system as well.

Although Windows 10 tells you that the files are gone for good, there are ways to get them back if you take prompt action.

Recover Permanently Deleted Files Using Windows 10

Follow these steps, and you can recover the files which were permanently deleted from your device. Before following this sequence of events, it is imperative that you discontinue using your system or the affected drive to prevent a data overwrite.

Continuing to use your device or drive may increase the risk of file loss.

  1. Use Windows Backup

If you accidentally sent through a permanent delete command instead of sending a file to the recycling bin, then your recent Windows Backup might be able to restore your deleted data. Go to your control panel, visit system and maintenance, and then restore your files through the wizard.

You may need to select another backup for file restoration if the first command is not visible. Some systems may not find a viable option on your computer.

  1. Restore a Previous Version

You can also recover deleted files from Windows 10 by restoring to a previous version. You can do this thanks to File History. Start by right-clicking on the folder which contained the data you want to restore. Then choose “Restore Previous Versions.”

You will see a list of the versions which are available for access. Then you can either drag-and-drop the desired option to a location on your operating system or hit the restore command. It helps to use an external storage device with this option to prevent an accidental overwriting of your files.

  1. Use File Recovery Software

Another way to find the files that you may have accidentally permanently deleted on Windows 10 is to use file recovery software.

Using Disk Drill will help you to scan your folders, HDD, and devices to see if the file is still available to retrieve. You can use it to search through a solid-state drive if you want as well. That makes it one of the easiest ways to recover deleted files from Windows.

Get Your Files Before They Are Gone!

Always try to keep an updated backup of your critical files to prevent the loss of your data. There are multiple options available to you today, ranging from an external drive to cloud-based storage. Many of the services are free.

Then make sure that you have a file recovery utility like Disk Drill available to manage the unexpected moments when something might happen.

You can also enable File History with your operating system, which will automatically keep a shadow copy of your information to a network drive or USB connection.

You can recover permanently deleted files on Windows 10 when you take immediate action using the steps above. Get started today to ensure that you can restore your data before it’s gone for good.
