How Do You Create an Excellent Sales Sheet?

Of course, the sales sheet must contain original, compelling content while benefiting from outstanding design. Following a few tips for creating excellent-looking sales sheets could lead to the desired look and style.

Stick with Simplicity

Simple and straightforward sales sheets may be the best option. That’s not to say you want to produce a dull-looking sales sheet. What you don’t want is a convoluted sales sheet that confuses the person trying to read it. Present all the necessary information via clear images and text. Clarity might benefit from this approach.

Make Sure Headlines Stand Out

The headlines need to stand out boldly and captivate attention. The headline might be the first thing someone sees when glancing at a sales sheet. Coming up with a creative, compelling, grabbing headline might draw someone. Choosing the right font and positioning the headline helps, too.

Make sure the fonts and headers in the copy look good. Vary up the fonts to let text and titles stand apart. Pick a type of font that fits with the content of the sales sheet.

Illustrate the Sales Sheet

A sales sheet on nothing, but the text comes off as dull. Even when you vary up fonts and sizes, a sales sheet won’t reach its potential unless it has photos, drawings, tables, and the like. Images help make a sales sheet visually compelling.

Images aren’t all about aesthetics, either. They could tell a story about the product. An informative chart, for example, may reveal a lot.

Bringing Data Alive

This point connects to the previous one. Illustrations help with making data come alive to a reader. Many people may skim a sales sheet rather than read it thoroughly, at least at first. Getting people to read details about data may prove difficult. However, presenting data in a pie chart or graph could immediately and easily get the info across. The data might intrigue someone to read the sales sheet to get more details.

Breaking Up Text

Text may prove more digestible when it gets broken up. An entire page of text may read like a newspaper. Why not break things up into several boxes that highlight essential points? Then, strategically place full paragraphs under the boxes. The layout could make it easier to skim and understand.

Write a Solid Opening Paragraph

Right after the headline, the opening paragraph might be the next thing someone reads. A well-written paragraph that gets vital info across while also intriguing someone to read more could deliver excellent results. Revise the section many times to get it right if you must do so. The opening paragraph does need to pay.

Putting the necessary effort to produce a quality sales sheet might pay off. Strong marketing materials could assist businesses and entrepreneurs to promote their wares effectively.

How Prince of Persia Inspired Two of Most Popular Action-Adventure Franchises

Based partly on One Thousand and One Nights, this game has a clear Persian style that can be seen in the characters and objects. How did its success lead to two of the biggest franchises in the action-adventure world?

The Popularity of the Prince of Persia Franchise

This is likely to be one of the first names to spring to mind among gamers and movie-goers when they think about Iran. It is a gaming franchise and there is also has a 2010 movie of the same name. The first game was called Prince of Persia and was brought out by Broderbund in 1989. With fairly simplistic but clear graphics and fluid animation, this platform-based adventure was a huge success and was rated as one of the 50 best games of all time by PC Format a couple of years after its release.

The success of this original title led to Ubisoft taking over the franchise and releasing more modern versions of the classic game. Perhaps the most acclaimed game in the series is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which was released in 2003 in a variety of formats and added more complex gameplay and advanced game mechanics. A new version is due to be released at the start of 2021.

The movie also includes the Sands of Time subtitle and grossed more than $336 million globally when released in 2010, making it the most commercially successful film based on a video game until Warcraft grossed $439 million six years later and other releases pushed it down to fifth place overall.

How It Led to Assassin’s Creed

The massively popular Assassin’s Creed gaming franchise follows on from Prince of Persia and takes its name from the historical order of assassins that was based in Alamut. The first game in the series came out in 2007 and, at the time of writing, there have been a further ten titles released. Ubisoft’s developers based this game on ideas they had while making Prince of Persia and on the Alamut book by Vladimir Bartol that was first published in 1938 and that explains the story of the Alamut fortress controlled by Hassan-i Sabbah.

It also includes a Persian warrior called Darius, who killed King Xerxes, but despite travelling to locations in Egypt, Turkey, Greece and other parts of the world, there hasn’t yet been a game set in Persia. This is even more surprising when we consider that the original title of this series was to be Prince of Persia: Assassin. Indeed, fans of the game have called for a future instalment to be set here.

The 2016 movie based on this franchise features the likes of Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. While the $240 million that it grossed led to it being only a modest commercial success, Assassin’s Creed was regarded as being one of the better video game adaptions for the big screen. Surprisingly, the film-makers decided to pass up on the opportunity to go back to the roots of this story and set it in the beautiful mountains of the Alamut region. Instead, they took the action to the time of the Spanish Inquisition and modern-day Spain too.

It Inspired the Legend of Lara Croft Too

Another full franchise that takes its inspiration from Prince of Persia is Tomb Raider. Since the first game featuring Lara Croft was released by Eidos Interactive in 1996, she has become a cultural icon and this has led to sequels as well as big-budget movies being released in 2001, 2003 and 2018. Unlike the Prince of Persia series, the overall presentation of these games has changed relatively little throughout all of the different versions brought out over the years, meaning that the most modern Lara Croft games perhaps feel closer to the original Prince of Persia titles than to the more recent versions.

Having said that, Rise of the Tomb Raider from Crystal Dynamics was released in 2015 and is rated by The Gamer as the best game featuring the Lara Croft character. She carries out her adventures in Syria and Siberia here, while the 2018 sequel sends her to explore in the Americas. Lara travels all over the world in these games but never sets foot in Persia. The same applies in the movies. Angeline Jolie plays the main role in the 2001 blockbuster, in which she solves mysteries in Venice, Siberia and Cambodia. Similarly, in the online slots page on Betway, players can choose from titles such as Lara Croft Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Temples and Tombs. As in the site’s other slot games, symbols and soundtrack go a long way to replicating the same feel as the original. Still, while the explorer/slot-player visits various sites in these casino games, it isn’t explained where in the world it is set.

In truth, the original developers say that they wanted to invoke the general feel of the Prince of Persia game, rather than attempt to reproduce the same story or the characters. Yet, it is clear that a future version of Tomb Raider that visits Iran would feel like a home-coming in some ways. For example, it is easy to imagine her exploring the archaeological remains showing a human face that have been discovered in Persepolis or trying to recover ancient gold antiquities that have been lost.

A Look to the Future

There is no doubt that the influence of Prince of Persia will continue to be felt in the gaming and movie industries. As we have seen, a franchise doesn’t have to be set in this part of the world for us to see the way that it has its roots in Ancient Persia.

Iranian, Iraqi Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations

In the phone call, the two top diplomats discussed various issues related to Tehran-Baghdad relations, particularly the visit of an Iraqi delegation to follow up on the agreements earlier achieved in the Iraqi foreign minister’s trip to Tehran.

Iran’s Military Says Ready to Set up Field Hospitals to Treat COVID-19 Patients

Second Brigadier General Hassan Araqi said the military’s preparedness is in line with a recent order by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who instructed the General staff of the Armed Forces to make all medical centres and hospitals of the military, with their maximum capacity, available to COVID-19 patients.

“The General Staff of the Armed Forces officially communicated [to the military] the commander-in-chief’s order,” said general Araqi, the head of the Health and Treatment Office of the General staff of the Armed Forces.

He said all resources and facilities of the army have been made available to coronavirus patients in coordination with the National Coronavirus Headquarters.

He added the military is also ready to work closely with relevant bodies to establish convalescent homes if necessary.

“We are facing the third peak of the coronavirus outbreak in the country,” he said.

“Our people should seriously take care of their health and abide by health protocols and social distancing measures,” he added.

“The health and treatment sector has also mobilized all its resources to counter coronavirus and look after patients,” he said.

‘Truckloads of Medicines Seized in Iraq Not of Iranian Origin’

The government body underlined that all profiteers who seek to cash in on the current situation to make huge profits, especially amid US sanctions on Iran’s medical sector, will be dealt with.

The food and drug authority reiterated that Iranians are under tough and unfair sanctions imposed by Washington, which claims to be an advocate of human rights, but is ironically targeting Iranian people’s health.

The Food and Drug Administration said the US chants demagogic slogans that it has not imposed sanctions on food and drugs, but has, in fact, blocked the supply of some medicines and medical equipment.

“All domestic potential has been utilized to ally patients’ slightest concerns about the procurement of the medicines they need,” added the administration.

The food and drug authority added part of the financing for medicines comes foreign currency provided by the government at an exchange rate much lower that its market value.

“So, there is a possibility that some profiteers smuggle medicines,” said the administration.
It said measures have been adopted to identify and deal with all offenders in the pharmaceutical sector.

Iranian Experts Abroad Establish 160 Start-ups under Cooperation Plan

The 160 firms have become operational in the domains of biotechnology, nanotechnology, stem cells, information and communications technology, energy and advanced materials.

Most of these Iranian entrepreneurs come from the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Britain, said the Science and Technology Department of Iran’s Presidential Office.

They have established the start-ups via the cooperation plan mentioned earlier.

The cooperation program (connect.isti.ir) is aimed at tapping into the scientific and expert potential of Iranian researchers and experts and establishing a link with top scientific, technological and industrial centres of the country.

The program has been growing well with the establishment of a vast network of specialized centres, including the best universities, research centres and knowledge-based companies of the country.

Under the latest figures, more than 120 expert cetnres have joined the program so far. The cooperation will lead to the development of science and technology inside the country as well as drawing on the experience of Iranian expatriates and tapping into the potential of other countries.

The AEOI made the comment in a tweet in response to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s fresh claim regarding Tehran’s use of nuclear energy.

“Scientists in Iran’s nuclear industry, taking heed of the Leader’s guidelines, stand ready to counter the United States’ bullying and unilateralism when it comes to using nuclear energy,” said the tweet.

“A strategic principle for Iran’s Islamic Establishment is to be far-sighted when it comes to using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and nuclear power will always be under the Iranian nation’s control,” he said.

Recently, Pompeo had claimed that Iran, with its nuclear program, was threatening the world holding countries hostage to its nuclear blackmail.

He called on the international community to confront Iran. Earlier, he had claimed and Iran was continuing what he called “its terrorist attacks” across the world and seeking to develop its nuclear program.

Iran Condemns Terror Attacks on Pakistani Security Forces

In a statement on Friday, Khatibzadeh also offered sympathy to the Pakistani nation and government.

The spokesman said all forms of terrorism are rejected, and that all regional countries must participate in the continuous fight against the perpetrators, organizers, supporters, and sponsors of such terrorist attacks.

Twenty security personnel, including six Army men, were martyred in two terrorist attacks in Balochistan’s Ormara area and North Waziristan tribal district on Thursday and late Wednesday.

Fourteen security men — seven personnel of the Frontier Corps and as many civilian guards employed by the OGDCL — were martyred in an armed attack on their convoy on the Coastal Highway in the Ormara area of Gwadar district on Thursday.

Six troops, including a Pakistan Army captain, were martyred and one suffered injuries when two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) struck their vehicles in North Waziristan tribal district on Wednesday evening.

The ISPR on Thursday also confirmed the martyrdom of six security personnel, including an Army captain, and injuries to one in the Wednesday’s North Waziristan attack.

The military’s media wing said in a brief statement that a convoy of security forces was attacked with improvised explosive devices near Razmak which resulted in the martyrdom of a captain and five soldiers.

The martyrs were identified as Captain Umar Farooq, Naib Subedar Riaz Ahmed, Naib Subedar Shakeel Azad, Havaldar Younas Khan, Naik Mohammad Nadeem and Lance Naik Asmat Ullah.

Iran to Trade Weapons with ‘Many Friends’ Once Embargo Lifted: Envoy

Iran to Trade Weapons with ‘Many Friends’ Once Embargo Lifted: Envoy

“Iran has many friends and trading partners, and has a robust domestic arms industry to ensure its defense requirements against foreign aggression,” Iranian UN mission spokesman Alireza Miryousefi told Newsweek in an interview published on Friday.

The UN restrictions are set to be lifted on Sunday under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 which endorses the multilateral nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed between Iran and major world powers in 2015.

The ban’s removal will follow a largely unsuccessful campaign by US President Donald Trump to convince the remaining signatories to defy the nuclear deal and the Resolution 2231 and keep the ban on Iran’s arms industry in force.

During the 15-member Security Council vote on August 14, the US received support only from the Dominican Republic for its anti-Iran resolution, leaving it far short of the minimum nine ‘yes’ votes required for adoption.

Trump, a hawkish critic of the JCPOA, unilaterally withdrew Washington from the agreement in May 2018, and unleashed the “toughest ever” sanctions against the Islamic Republic to strangle its economy in defiance of global criticism.

Following its much-criticized exit, Washington has been attempting to prevent the remaining signatories from abiding by their commitments and thus kill the historic agreement, which is widely viewed as a fruit of international diplomacy.

“In accordance with the timeline stated in Resolution 2231, Iran will be relieved from arms restrictions as early as Oct. 18. Naturally, from that date, we’ll trade, on the basis of our national interests, with other countries in this field,” Miryousefi said.

He added that the lack of support for Washington’s initiatives was telling of its position vis-à-vis the international community.

Miryousefi added, “It is abundantly clear that the UN—and the overwhelming majority of its member states—reject the US’ so-called maximum pressure policy on Iran,” and that “its attempts to even further violate the JCPOA and UNSCR 2231 have led to its isolation.”

Although Iran has not yet formally announced any specific country to start trading arms, Miryousefi said Tehran had options beginning on Sunday.

Speaking during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country will be free to trade weapons as of Sunday.

The Islamic Republic has achieved self-sufficiency in most areas of its defense sector and is itself an exporter of arms. Tehran says it can meet its strategic needs through the countries it interacts with like Russia and China once the UN embargo is lifted.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Thursday that Moscow will consider military technical cooperation with Iran in line with mutual interests after the expiration of the United Nations arms embargo on Tehran.

“We are convinced that all possibilities stemming from the expiration of the provisions of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 that are linked with military technical cooperation with Iran will be duly taken into account and used on the basis of mutual benefit and in the interests of the peoples of our two states,” Maria Zakharova said.
