Iran Successfully Performs First Remote Robotic Surgery on Dog

The operation was carried out using a surgeon robot developed by the Iranian knowledge-based Sina Robotics and Medical Innovators company.

The surgery was done by Dr. Talebpour stationed at Imam Khomeini hospital while the robot and the patient, which was a dog, were both at Sina hospital during the operation.

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology, was also present while the remote surgery was being performed.

Foreign Forces Must Leave Middle East: Iranian General

Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani added the Takfiri ISIS terrorist group was the handiwork of an approach adopted by domineering powers to serve their own interests and “commercialize security.”

“Many of the elements which contributed to the emergence of instability and extremist ideologies in recent years are now impeding the trend of establishing security and reconstructing crisis-hit countries, too,” said general Rabbani, the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Forces for operations in a speech at the Moscow International Security Conference.

“It is time for foreign forces, including the US, which have the blood of thousands of innocent people on their hands, … to leave the West Asia region, so that the regional countries can ensure lasting security on their own,” he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the top general said Iran favours “the best of relations” with world countries, and that “neighbouring countries take priority in our foreign policy.”

“Today, given the rapid developments in the world and given that traditional and new threats are intertwined, in is necessary that independent countries help boost stability in the world through cooperating with one another,” said the top general.

“In this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to work with other countries to solve problems and create stability and security in the region and in the world,” he added.

Afghanistan Not to See Peace without Iran, Pakistan Help: Russia

Speaking at the 9th International Security Conference held in Moscow, Sergey Shoigu noted that the settlement of the Afghanistan issue requires assistance and attention by neighbouring countries as well as international organizations.

The top general underlined the presence of American and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces in Afghanistan has failed to realize the desired objectives.
He voiced concern that the pullout of foreign troops, on the other hand, can raise the odds of a civil war in the country, too.

In his speech, Shoigu also underscored that prompt decisions and international cooperation are needed to resolve this situation.

He proposed the potentialities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) be used to settle the situation.

The SCO is made up of countries which have common borders with Afghanistan, including Iran and Pakistan.

Iranian Diplomat Meets Top Afghan Officials Ahead of Pakistan Trip

In the Wednesday meetings, which were held ahead of Taherian’s trip to Islamabad for talks with Pakistani officials, the ongoing developments of Afghanistan were discussed, and the two sides underlined the necessity of continuing the consultations in this regard.

Taherian will travel to Pakistan on Wednesday afternoon at the head of a political delegation upon the invitation of Mohammad Sadiq Khan, the Pakistani Prime Minister’s special envoy for Afghanistan affairs.

Iran Condemns US Seizure of IRIB News Websites

In a statement on Wednesday Khatibzadeh slammed as disgraceful Washington’s policy of double standards and said, “The current US administration has exactly followed the path of the previous administration, which will only lead to a double defeat for Washington.”

The Iranian spokesman said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects the unlawful and bullying measure, and will pursue the issue through legal channels.”

Iran Foils Sabotage Attempt against Nuclear Facility

The unspecified threat was “neutralized before it damaged the building, and the saboteurs failed to carry out their plan,” according to ISNA.

The attack was foiled thanks to the “vigilance” of Iran’s security apparatuses, the report said.

According to Fars news agency, the incident is being investigated.

Earlier in the day, Iranian media reported a “drone attack” against the Barekat Pharmaceutical Company in Karaj, but said the attack missed its target and hit an adjacent building. However, it seems the adjacent building has been the AEOI site, which was apparently the original target of the attack.

Barekat, which is an affiliate of the Headquarters of Imam Khomeini Executive Order (aka Setad), has developed the CovIran Barekat vaccine.

After passing its clinical trials, the vaccine recently received the Health Ministry’s permission for emergency use in Iran.

Numerous explosions have been reported over the past few years in complexes vital to Iran’s nuclear program and its energy and military sectors. Some of the incidents have been said to stem from technical malfunctions, while others have been blamed by Iran on its enemies, including the US and Israel.

On April 11, Iran’s Natanz nuclear plant suffered a blast that blew up the main and backup power supply to the underground enrichment facility — an attack that Tehran pinned on Tel Aviv.

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied involvement but media reports have since said it was a sabotage operation by the Mossad spy agency.

In response, Iran boosted its uranium enrichment to 60 percent.

Earlier this week Iran’s southern Bushehr nuclear power plant was temporarily shut down over a “technical fault,” the country’s atomic energy body said. The statement said the plant will be reconnected to the grid and the issue will be resolved “in a few days,” but did not elaborate further.

According to media reports, the unsuccessful attack has left no casualties or damages, as it has targeted an area near the Barekat Company.

Barekat, which is an affiliate of the Headquarters of Imam Khomeini Executive Order (aka Setad), has developed the CovIran Barekat vaccine.

After passing its clinical trials, the vaccine recently received the Health Ministry’s permission for emergency use in Iran.

Iran Closely Following ‘Alarming’ Developments in Afghanistan

“Iran calls for immediate deescalation, respect for rule of law, and inclusive dialogue,” Khatibzadeh tweeted on Tuesday night.

The spokesman said the “estructive policies of the US” have had lingering consequences in the region and now “its utterly irresponsible conduct is taking a toll.”

The Taliban in Afghanistan on Sunday claimed overrunning five more districts as the estimated number of localities under their control surpassed those under the government authority.

The advancing militants said in a series of statements that Yangi Qala, Chaal, and Hazar Samooch districts in the northern Takhar province, Chahar Bolak in Balkh, and the Kharwar district in Logar came under their control Saturday night.

Local authorities in these provinces confirmed the fall to the Taliban. But the Interior Ministry has been labeling these developments as “strategic retreat” by the security forces in a bid to save civilian casualties.

US in No Position to Comment about Iran Election Process: Spokesman

Ali Rabiei

“These remarks are nothing new or surprising. We have been hearing them for years. From a political point of view, we consider these remarks an instance of interference in our internal affairs and a violation of international rules,” Rabiei told reporters on Tuesday.

“We condemn these remarks. The US government is in no position and is not eligible to comment about the election process in Iran or any other country,” he added.

“Unlike the shiny shows of democracy in the US, there is no nation today who does not know how deficient democratic processes are in the US,” Rabiei noted.

He also called on the US government to stop making arrogant interferences in the internal affairs of other countries and judging the others’ democratic mechanisms, and stick to correcting their own internal affairs.
