Ayatollah Khamenei urges Islamic states to cut ties with Israel

“Some Islamic governments have condemned Israeli crimes in assemblies while some have not; this is unacceptable.”, Ayatollah Khamenei said Sunday before reiterating that the main task of Islamic governments should be to cut off Israel from energy and goods.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the comments while attending an exhibition showcasing the latest achievements of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force, including the Fattah 2, a new version of Iran’s hypersonic cruise missile.

Ayatollah khamenei denounced the racist Zionist regime for massacring several thousand children in Palestine, saying “The Zionists consider themselves as a superior race and they consider the rest of the human race to be inferior. That is why they have killed several thousand children without any remorse.”

He stressed that the events in Gaza revealed many facts that were hidden from people around the world: “One of these facts has been the support of the heads of Western countries for racial discrimination. When the president of the United States, the chancellor of Germany, the president of France and the prime minister of England support and help such a racist regime with all the things that they claim, it means that these men support racism, which is one the most despised issues in the world.”

Another point that Ayatollah Khamenei referred to regarding the issues in Gaza was the military and operational failure of the Zionist regime.

“In spite of the massive bombings in Gaza, the Zionist regime has so far failed in its action because they said from the beginning that their goal is to destroy and cripple Hamas and the Resistance, but after more than 40 days and after using all their military power, they have not yet been able to do this,” said the Leader.

Yemen’s Houthis say they will target all Israeli ships

Sarea called on all countries to withdraw their citizens working on any such ships.

Leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has recently vowed to continue attacking Israeli targets, including Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

“We will continue to plan additional operations against all [Israeli] targets that we can reach, both in Palestine and beyond. We will not miss any opportunity to do so,” the Houthi leader said.

“We are constantly looking for any Israeli ship in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and near Yemeni territorial waters,” he added.

Al-Houthi called on Arab and Muslim countries to boycott American and Israeli goods, as well as the products of any company that supports Israel.

In his televised address on Tuesday, the Ansarullah chief also expressed his disappointment with the final statement issued by the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh at the weekend.

“Although the Arab-Islamic Summit was an emergency meeting of 57 countries, it did not come up with a position or practical action, and this is shameful and sad,” Houthi said.

“The summit that claimed to represent all Muslims only produced statements with no practical stance. Is this capability of over a billion and a half Muslims?” he continued, adding, “Fifty-seven Arab and Islamic countries, with all their … capabilities, came out with a statement that could have been issued by a primary school and by one person.”

The Houthis have conducted several missile and drone attacks against Israel since October 7.

The war in Gaza has sent tensions soaring throughout the region, with international organisations and political leaders warning of a potential wider war across the region.

Iran unveils new aerospace, missile achievements, including hypersonic cruise missile

Besides the missile named Fattah 2, a mobile air defense system called Mehran, the upgraded version of the missile defense system dubbed Day-9 and a drone known as Shahed 147 were unveiled at the expo visited by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday.

At the exhibit, the Leader saw first-hand the latest achievements of the Aerospace Division of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

The exhibition, which included missile, drone, air defense and space sections, showcased modern and updated accomplishments of the IRGC’s aerospace scientists and experts.

The latest achievements in the domain of satellite-carrier missiles and those pertaining to space satellite launching were also put on show at the event.

CNN suggests weaponry found in Gaza hospital ‘rearranged’ by Israel

CNN said that according to a Nov. 15 video published by Israeli army spokesperson Jonathan Concricus, an AK-47 gun was seen behind an MRI machine in one of the buildings in the Al-Shifa Hospital complex.

But when Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst visited the site, he filmed two AK-47 guns behind the MRI machine, not one as appeared in the earlier video by the Israeli army.

“It is unclear where the second AK-47 gun came from and why it is not visible in the earlier IDF clip,” added CNN.

It noted in its analysis that BBC was also granted access to the MRI room at the hospital and filmed the two AK-47 guns.

“The discrepancy between the military’s own video and the BBC footage was due to the fact that more weaponry and terrorist assets were discovered throughout the day,” the Israeli army said in response to CNN, adding, “Suggestions that the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) is manipulating the media are incorrect.”

Israel has long accused Hamas of using the Al-Shifa Hospital to direct military operations — an allegation vehemently denied by the Palestinian resistance group.

The Gaza-based Health Ministry announced dozens of patients, including premature babies, have died at the hospital between Nov. 11 – 16 due to a lack of electricity as the Israeli army cordoned off the hospital before storming.

Israel launched airstrikes and later a ground incursion after an Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.

The Israeli onslaught has since killed more than 12,300 victims, women and children, flattened thousands of civilian structures, and enforced a full blockade leading to a shortage of supplies, including food, fuel and medicine.

Iran’s goals were scored by Alireza Mokhtarabadi in normal time and by Esmail Dejeh, Aliakbar Ahmadvand and Alireza Mokhtarabadi at the penalty shootout.

Iranian goalkeeper Mehdi Karamali saved all three penalty kicks by Sweden.

Meanwhile, Japan defeated Thailand 3-2 in the third-place playoff and finished the second runners-up.

Russia says west ‘struggling’ with sanctions

Russia US Flags

“The Westerners are struggling because they are seeing that the sanctions are not hitting [us] as they were supposed to,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told broadcaster VGTRK.

“Moreover, as always, the Russians have managed to find ways to benefit from them.”

Peskov stressed, however, that Moscow would stay vigilant and closely monitor all restrictions imposed by the West because the “are no lengths they would not go” just to hurt Russia.

The US and many of its allies have imposed sweeping sanctions on Moscow in response to its military operation in Ukraine, targeting Russia’s financial and energy sectors, among other spheres. However, the Western officials have repeatedly admitted that the negative impact of the penalties on Russia has not been as significant as expected.

Nevertheless, the EU is currently working on the 12th round of sanctions, which RFE/RL described on Friday as “weakest EU sanctions package to date on Russia”.

Speaking at a government meeting in September, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that although the sanctions had “slowed down” certain economic projects, they also were “stimulating development”. Russian officials have said that foreign restrictions have ultimately failed to tank the country’s economy, instead providing an opportunity to boost domestic production and reroute existing trade.

Israel committing ‘genocide’ against health system in Gaza: Palestinian minister

Gaza War

“The Israeli occupation is committing a genocide against the entire healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, medical doctors, and patients,” Alkaila said in a press conference at Palestinian Health Ministry’s headquarters in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah on Saturday, the official Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.

“How long hospitals, patients, and medical teams in Gaza and the West Bank would remain hostages to the onslaught, destruction, targeting, and blockade by the Israeli occupation forces without accountability or condemnation from the international community?” she asked.

The regime launched its devastating war on October 7 following an operation staged by Gaza-based resistance movements. At least 12,300 Palestinians have been killed, including more than 5,000 children, and over 29,800 people sustained injuries during the war.

The regime has turned Gaza’s hospitals into a specific target for its military onslaught, alleging that those facilities house Palestinian fighters and their equipment.

Elsewhere in her remarks, the Palestinian official noted that no hospital in Gaza has the capacity to provide services to the massive number of wounded from the incessant Israeli bombardments.

She expressed concern over the spread of numerous infectious diseases, including diarrheal diseases, affecting over 50,000 individuals, predominantly children. Respiratory infections and skin diseases such as chickenpox and scabies have also surged in Gaza, Alkaila added, citing reports from the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

The minister also called for an immediate cessation of the Israeli genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, demanding a halt to targeting, shelling, and blockade of medical and healthcare facilities.

Al-Shifa, Gaza’s biggest hospital, has taken the brunt of the Israeli assaults on the territory’s healthcare system, with the regime claiming that it houses a “command center” belonging to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

Alkaila called on the international organizations to mount pressure on the Israeli regime to allow relocation of the remaining children and patients from al-Shifa to other hospitals across the West Bank or Egypt.

“Where is the stance of doctors and healthcare professionals worldwide regarding the atrocities committed against their colleagues in the Palestinian healthcare sector in Gaza and the West Bank?” Alkaila asked while addressing the global health community.

The Israeli regime has cut off the flow of basic supplies, such as water, electricity, medicines, and fuel, to Gaza, which is one of the world’s most densely populated territories housing over two million Palestinians.

The minister slammed Israel for preventing entry of medicines into the territory and depriving patients of their right to receive treatment, especially children in need of oxygen, mothers in need of safe childbirth, and kidney failure patients in need of dialysis.

Israel waging war of starvation on Gazans: Hamas

Gaza War

“The Zionist enemy has adopted the policy of starvation against children and ordinary people in Gaza. The food convoys that have entered Gaza meet only 10% of the public demands,” Osama Hamdan, a member of the Palestinian resistance movement’s politburo, said at a press briefing in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on Saturday evening.

“Mass killing of people, starvation and bombardment of hospitals are all meant to drive our compatriots out of northern Gaza. International, Muslim and Arab institutions must fulfill their responsibilities as regards the stoppage of the invaders’ crimes. Silence and inaction will push the situation towards further chaos and disorder.”

Hamdan added the Palestinian resistance factions have pledged not to back down from realization of their nation’s ideals, the most significant of which are liberation of the occupied territories and full sovereignty over them.

“We will be a strong barrier against the plans of the invaders. Displacement will not be a matter of concern anymore, but rather liberation of our lands and return of people. We will deal a fatal blow to the invaders, and the entire world will soon hear the news of our victory,” the senior Hamas official noted.

He went on to point to the high number of casualties among Israeli military forces, stating that fighters from the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades have inflicted heavy blows on enemy forces and their armored vehicles.

“The Zionist enemy is committing crimes against the people of Gaza round the clock. The enemy perpetrates crimes in areas that it claims to be safe. Some 43% of the victims used to be residents of the southern sector of the Gaza Strip. The occupiers do not differentiate between residents of the northern and southern parts of the territory,” Hamdan continued.

He said the regime has attacked the most sacred job in the world by bombing hospitals.

“Murders and crimes in Gaza have affected people from all walks of life, including aid workers and medical staff. What happened in the Shifa Hospital falls within the framework of crimes being committed by the occupying enemy. The invaders took away the bodies of a number of martyrs from inside the hospital to an unknown location,” the Hamas official stated.

Hamdan added the Israeli military, by means of false allegations, has turned the Shifa Hospital into a military barracks.

“We hold the US administration responsible for the raid on the Shifa Hospital, and view it as a direct accomplice. If it were not for the sake of President Joe Biden, his administration and the silence of the international community, such crimes would have never happened in Gaza. Our combatants risked their lives to treat Israeli captives.”

Hamdan finally called for the continuation of pro-Palestinian demonstrations worldwide, and enforcement of economic sanctions against Israel.

Humanitarian agencies say since Israel imposed a total siege on the Gaza Strip on October 7, aid convoys have barely trickled through, meaning they can provide only a “drop in the ocean” of what the 2.3 million people in the territory need.

According to the advocacy group Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, Israel has sharply escalated a “war of starvation” against civilians in the Gaza Strip as a tool of subjugation.

Before the Israeli war, 70 percent of the children in Gaza already suffered from varying health issues including malnutrition, anemia and weakened immunity. The figure has increased to more than 90 percent as a result of Israel’s bombardment, the Monitor announced.

Israeli investigators say Hamas did not premeditate music festival attack, some killed by friendly fire

An October 10 aerial photo shows the site of the attack on the Nova music festival by Hamas militants in southern Israel.

Investigators said that the target for Hamas’ attack seemed to be a Kibbutz, but changed plans once the festival was discovered, Israel’s Haaretz daily newspaper reported on Saturday.

In addition, the investigation found that an Israeli army helicopter that arrived on the scene following the attack was responsible for at least some of the deaths, as the helicopter mistakenly shot festival goers instead of Hamas operatives.

Some 4,400 people had reportedly been at the event when Hamas broke through Israel’s high-security barrier on Saturday. The event had originally been scheduled to end on Friday, according to the report.

Israeli police believe at least 364 people were killed at the Nova music festival on October 7, according to Israeli media. Previously, officials had put the number killed at 270.

How many were killed by the army helicopter remains unknown.

Seventeen of the dead were police officers, Israel’s Channel 12 News has reported, citing the police report. The news outlet said 40 festival goers were kidnapped and taken into Gaza.

It is not clear if the updated number of people killed at the festival affects the total death toll, which officials have said is about 1,200 people killed.

No deal on release of hostages: Netanyahu

Netanyahu denied what he called false reports that Israel was considering a proposal for the release of at least 50 abductees. When the government has something to say, authorities will report it, he stated on Saturday.

The Israel Defense Forces announced Friday that the military’s official estimate of hostages being held in Gaza is 237.

Netanyahu added he has invited the representatives of the hostages’ families to a meeting with Israel’s war cabinet later this week. He has faced increasing political pressure to free the hostages, as well as calls from humanitarian organizations to implement a ceasefire.

The prime minister also defended the war cabinet’s decision to allow two fuel tankers to enter Gaza daily after several Israeli officials criticized the move.

He stressed the tankers will supply a minimal emergency amount of fuel to operate water and sewage pumps in Gaza.

The prime minister also denied that the move was a change of policy, adding instead that it was a specific and limited solution to prevent diseases.

The Palestinian Authority headed by Mahmoud Abbas is incapable of taking on the Gaza Strip after the Israeli military operation there, Netanyahu said.

“I do not think the current Palestinian Authority can take on responsibility for the Gaza Strip,” he told a press conference.

Netanyahu added that he believes it is impossible to hand the Gaza Strip over to Abbas after the Israeli army fought for the enclave. He added that Abbas had not yet condemned the attack on Israel committed by Hamas’ armed wing on October 7.
