Iran FM: Stop Gaza strikes before it’s too late

The Iranian foreign minister has called for the continuation of the truce in the Gaza Strip and massive delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged territory and a prisoner swap deal between Palestinians and the Israeli regime.

Hossein Amirabdollahian made the remarks on Friday on the social media platform X, hours after Israel resumed its devastating campaign against the besieged Palestinian territory.

“The (Israeli) captives cannot be released by war, but they will be killed in bombings. The continuation of Washington and Tel Aviv’ war means a new genocide in Gaza and the West Bank,” the Iranian foreign minister wrote.

Amirabdollahian also warned, “It does not seem that they think about the harsh consequences of going back to war. The existence of warships does not conclude it, but the existence of ‘the Palestinian determination’ will. Stop the attacks on Gaza immediately before it’s too late.”

A day earlier, the Iranian foreign minister held talks with his Emirati counterpart on the phone and called for more united efforts aimed at stopping Israeli crimes in Gaza.

Amirabdollahian said Islamic countries should continue efforts to stop the Zionist regime’s war crimes and open extensive humanitarian aid routes to Gaza.
