Iran’s Beauties in Photos: Bisheh Waterfall

The waterfall, with a height of 60 metres, is located adjacent to Tehran-Khuzestan railway, and the train station there is a good choice for tourists visiting the area.

The plain and waterfall are situated in the heart of mountains between Khorramabad and Doroud.

Here are Mizan’s photos of Bisheh waterfall, which is known as the bride of Lorestan:

Trump Serving Iran’s Establishment like a Soldier: Analyst

Political analyst Abdollah Ganji has, in an article published in the Persian-language Javan daily, weighed in on US President Donald Trump’s approach to Iran, particularly the anti-Tehran allegations he raised in his recent address to the UN General Assembly. The following is the full text of the analytical piece.

“The media atmosphere in the world is strangely turning in Iran’s favour because Trump is so loathsome … Parts of Trump’s speech at the UN are incredibly similar to Hitler’s views. In my estimation, such vanity and one-sidedness is unprecedented in the US history.” (Masoud Behnoud)

“Trump’s numerous mirages in his foreign policy on North Korea and Iran will amount to complete failure, and he has little chance of success on Venezuela as well … Trump hypocritically weathered the issue of the cholera outbreak in Yemen and the destruction of its infrastructure with US support while [falsely] attributing it to Iran not to mention the saga of the 490,000 Rohingya Muslims.” (Namvar Haqiqi)

“The US president’s fiery and rhetoric-like speech at the UN was an open show of reality and revealed the essence of the United States.” (Mohajerani)

The above comments were made by those who have drawn a line between themselves and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s establishment and are operating within Trump’s civilizational domain and while being realistic, are waiting for the downfall of the Islamic Republic. Incontrovertibly, they have pinned their hopes on the West and its cultural, political, economic and even military capabilities as a way of making their dreams come true.

Nevertheless, the US statesmen have flown off the handle in the face of Iran’s logic, so much so that even the opponents of Iran’s establishment feel ashamed and break their silence and unconsciously admit the truthfulness of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s system and the frivolity of Washington in the current dispute.

Trump’s speech at the UN was as effective as a thousand hours of efforts that Iran would have made to depict a real picture of the US. Let’s not forget that the difference between Trump and his predecessors is that they agreed, but did not act, and at the same time never said they would not act. However, Trump is saying it openly and would not allow us to be deceived by the hand in velvet glove that Obama had extended to us.

Trump is showing his hands without a glove, making us see the reality. Today, revolutionary elements should not regret why Iran held talks [over the country’s nuclear program] for two years, and they should not reprove the government for the futility of the negotiations because the outcome of the talks for those loyal to Iran’s Revolution was that the United States’ true colours came to light. Today, President Rouhani is with us. He says straightforwardly: “When the other party to the deal does not live up to its commitments, there is no use holding talks over other issues.” This comment means Rouhani has withdrawn from alleged JCPOAs 2 and 3, and has come to the conclusion that negotiations will not be fruitful in any area. He has come to believe that there is no way but to move on the revolutionarism track and continue revolutionary acts in the country. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif writes in the book “Mr. Ambassador” that he has never used and will never use the word “enemy.” However, the remarks he made in the past few days indicated that he was facing a real enemy. Trump has a mission “to boost our capacity to know the United States” and this is not a trivial achievement. Trump is depicting the same picture of the US that Iran has had in mind over the past 38 years and which has been opposed by intellectuals. Today, our intellectuals are ashamed, too, but they still don’t feel brave enough to admit to the truthfulness of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s system. I do believe that Trump is serving like a soldier for us, sheds light on realities, opens a factory of iron fists and proves “democracy like the rule of the ignorant.” Why shouldn’t we be happy when our enemies are seeking to prove the truthfulness of Iran’s establishment, and why shouldn’t we be happy when Trump is promoting our truthfulness and at the same time bringing shame upon the dissidents of Iran’s establishment? We may be able to employ foolish enemies tactically.

New Head of Expediency Council Hails Rouhani’s Anti-Trump Speech

The new members and chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council held their first meeting on Saturday, September 23.

During the meeting, the new chairman, Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi, blasted the US president’s recent anti-Iran remarks in his UNGA address, and described Trump as ‘mentally unbalanced’ and ‘paradoxical’.

According to a Farsi report by ISNA, he referred to Trump’s allegations as ‘worthless’ and ‘ugly’, and said President Rouhani’s response to those allegations was ‘courageous’, ‘decisive’, and ‘very appropriate’.

The Expediency Council is an administrative assembly appointed by Iran’s Leader and was created upon the revision to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran on 6 February 1988.

It was originally set up to resolve differences or conflicts between the Iranian Parliament and Guardians Council. Members of the council are chosen by the Leader once every five years.

In the final match held on Saturday in La Punta, central Argentina, the Iranian football team was defeated 0-1 to Ukraine, and received the silver medal.

The Iranian side had notched up a 3-1 victory against Britain on Wednesday and found a way in the title game.

Ukraine had also defeated Russia in the penalty shootout, and booked the final berth.

The Iranian 7-a-side team had claimed the silver medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games as well.

The Paralympic finale was also between Iran and the reigning champion Ukraine, where the former lost to latter 2-1.

Ukraine is the most decorated football 7-a-side team at Paralympic Games, with three golds and two silvers.

Iran had also won bronze at both the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 editions before winning the 2016 silver.

The 2017 IFCPF CP Football World Championships, which is the world championship for men’s national 7-a-side association football teams, kicked off in Argentina on September 4.

The 7-a-side football is a form of association football for athletes with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders, namely stroke and traumatic brain injury. Matches consist of two 30-minute halves, with a 15-minute interval, and are played with modified FIFA rules.

School Year in Iran Starts after Rouhani Rings Opening Bell

Iranian academic year began on Saturday during an opening bell ceremony held in Tehran attended by President Rouhani.

Concurrent with the start of the new school year in Iran, 146 educational projects came into operation.

About 1,300,000 first grade students have started their school year.

Students in Iran go to school for 10 months a year, or about 200 active days, from September to June. The average number of students per classroom is 20. From ages 7 to 18, boys and girls are educated separately.

Beginning at age 7, all students must pass a yearly exam in order to move to the next grade level. Students in primary school learn about hygiene, basic math and science, reading, and study skills.

Vote on Iraqi Kurdistan Independence to Strengthen ISIS: Iran

Kurdistan-Iraq

Iranian lawmaker Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi says Tehran would like to see Iraq’s national interests and territorial integrity preserved, saying problems facing Iraq’s Kurdistan region cannot be settled militarily.

“Baghdad-Erbil talks are the only way to settle differences over the region,” said Rahimi Jahanabadi, who sits on the parliament’s Judicial and Legal Commission.

He said any war between the Iraqi central government and the Kurdistan region will further strengthen the ISIS terrorist group, saying Iran’s proposal that problems facing Kurdistan should be resolved through diplomacy and political dialogue is a rational suggestion.

He noted the maintenance of Iraq’s territorial integrity will be in the interest of Iraqi people as well as all other countries in the Middle East.

The MP said Iraqi Kurds do not seem to be willing to withdraw from a planned referendum on Kurdistan’s independence, saying political negotiations could cushion the repercussions of the planned vote.

“If things don’t go well and a conflict breaks out, that will benefit the Israeli regime the most, will strengthen ISIS elements and help them expand their sphere of influence,” the legislator underscored.

He also said the plebiscite on the independence of Kurdistan will pose no danger to Iran.

Iran Can Attract $3.5 Trillion worth of Foreign Investment: CBI

Valiollah Seif

“Given its geopolitical standing in the Middle East as well as the current investment opportunities in various fields and the young and educated population, Iran has the capacity to attract over $3,500bn in foreign investment within the next two decades,” he said.

In an address to the financial heads of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation in Turkey, Seif also referred to the Islamic banking capacities and said with their great performance in the face of the recent world recession, the Islamic banks have managed to attract the attentions of many across the world to their financial mechanism.

“The mechanism is free from usury and this in turn makes it capable of working as a guarantee against grave risks and a facilitator for financial exchanges,” he was quoted as saying in a Farsi report by the Entekhab news website.

Seif said the focus of the Islamic banks on the real sections of economy instead of bonds has made them less vulnerable against economic shocks across the world compared with other banks.

He also referred to the current financial instability in the developed countries and said today strengthening of multilateral as well as regional financial ties can play a key role in restoring stability to the global economy.

“Amid the current instable conditions, the OIC as the second largest international organization after the United Nations can contribute to efforts to tackle the current economic problems in the world,” he said.

He also highlighted the efforts made after the signing of the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers to expand ties between Iranian and European banks and expressed hope the efforts would lead to more foreign investments in Iran.

US Claim that Iran Helping Terrorists Ridiculous: Larijani

Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani rejected Washington’s allegation that Iran is helping terrorists and said, “This is the most ridiculous remark today. Are you blind, and don’t you see it is only Iran that is standing up to ISIS in Iraq and Syria?”

“How is it possible that Iran help ISIS and terrorists, and at the same time stand up against them? Is such a move sensible?”

“They (the Americans) themselves know that they are talking nonsense in a bid to sway public opinion around the world, but they won’t succeed because Iran has chosen its path prudently and will tread that path resolutely,” the top parliamentarian added.

He then touched upon plots by the global hegemony against Iran, saying hegemonic powers and their cronies have never wanted to see tranquility and calm in the country.

“The US president [Donald Trump] says blatantly that Iran is problematic. We deem it necessary to tell him that it has been you (the US) who have never stopped making trouble over the past 40 years,” Larijani said.

He said documented evidence exists that the White House was supporting former Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein during the eight year Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 1980s.

He said there is evidence that the US provided Baghdad with intelligence and direct or indirect military assistance throughout the war.

Larijani also touched upon the downing of an Iranian airliner over the Persian Gulf by a US warship back in 1988.

He said the US president should be ashamed of himself as his country has taken so many actions against Iran, and now he has opted to try another anti-Iran move.

The parliament speaker said Trump’s words are nonsense, wrong and hollow.

History to Remember Saudi Crimes against Yemen: Iran

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says the atrocities committed by Riyadh in Yemen will not be forgotten.

“The crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen will go down in history,” said Araqchi at a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in New York.

He said the hostilities against Yemeni men, women and children will not slip into oblivion.

In his speech, Araqchi also addressed the accusations levelled by Saudi Arabia.

He further underlined the importance of unity among Muslim nations, adding, “The OIC is the best place where this unity can emerge and can be exercised.”
