To help you out, here is a brief guide you should consider when buying sarees so that you ensure that the saree you purchased will work well for your body type.

Sarees for short and slim women

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

If you are short and slim, and you desire to have sarees that will make you look like a model or an actor, then you should never go for sarees with heavy borders and big prints. The right kind of saree for such ladies should be the ones with thin borders that will give the impression of them being tall. On the prints, you will never go wrong with small to medium-sized prints.

Sarees for tall and slim women

If you know you have the body of Priyanka Chopra or Anushka Sharma, then you should be very careful about the borders when choosing your sarees. Such tall women will look extremely gorgeous when they go for sarees with big and bold prints with a variety of bright colors. Such will always tend to divert attention from the height and is guaranteed to also give you very good looks on the side. You can check out big brand ecommerce stores such as Amazon, Myntra, Jabong, Flipkart, or simply visit Stylecaret – one of the fastest growing startups in the country for quality sarees for tall and slim women.

Ladies with slim figures

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

If you have a slim figure, then you know that “getting lost” in a saree is very easy and this is why you must very careful when making your choice so that you don’t get the wrong attire. For slim ladies, the saree recommendation should be organza, cotton and silk sarees. Such are known to give the impression of fuller figures and will work very well with slim ladies. Additionally, such ladies should always opt for sarees with lighter colors as well as those with very heavy embroidery. Brocade or beadworks will also never disappoint in sarees for slim ladies. For more uniqueness and elegance, slim ladies may opt for halter necks, backless, sleeveless or tube blouses for their sarees.

Sarees for ladies with voluptuous figures

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

If you know you are voluptuous, then tight-fitting silk and cotton sarees should never be in your mind. The best recommendation for sarees for voluptuous women should be chiffon, net fabrics, and georgette. These fabrics will easily wrap around the body and highlight your curves in the best possible way. On colors, you should go for dark colors because such is always the recommendation for ladies with big bodies. You may choose to have beadwork or embroidery, but they must not be too stiff that they will hug tightly against your body. Additionally, the saree should have a very good fall to help create the impression of you being slimmer, though you are voluptuous.

 Sarees for overweight ladies

There is no shortage of fashion for overweight ladies and as far as sarees are concerned, there is a myriad of choices to consider. To begin with, you have to be careful about the choice of the saree fabric. The general rule is that for overweight ladies, cotton and other stiff fabrics should never be in the list of the sarees. This is because they will create the impression of you looking broader and bigger than you actually are. Silk and chiffon sarees are always recommended since they have a way of creating some kind of balance in the body and drawing away attention from some parts of the body you could be having problems with.

Handloom sarees have also been known to look very nice on overweight ladies, and it is another option you should consider having on the cards. Other than choosing the right fabric if you know you are overweight, you must also consider how you are going to drape the saree around your body since this is going to make a great deal of difference on your appearance. You can opt for long blouses with short sleeve since they will help to conceal some of the flaps. Just be sure to try out different types for various looks and go with the ones you feel great in.

Sarees for women with apple-shaped bodies

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

Women have apple-shaped bodies if they are heavy around the stomach and the bust region. For such body types, sarees with beautiful embroidery will always do the trick and will bring out a unique charm of elegance. It is also recommended that you go for longer blouses to cover the waist and any other problem areas you may be having around the same body region. As an alternative, you can consider wrapping your saree a little higher to conceal the problems around the waist region. The fabric you should go for is silk and you must always avoid sarees in net. On the blouses, go for ones whose colors contract that of the saree so that you can create a nice dramatic effect.

Sarees for women with pear shapes

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

Pear-shaped bodies are characterized by a lighter upper body relative to the heavier lower body. It means that they appear heavier at the bottom compared to the top. The recommended saree fabric for such should be georgette and chiffon since these would help to create a balance between the lower and upper bodies. Such a body type is never ideal for mermaid cuts since such would bring more attention to the lower body and this is never necessary. Bold and bright colors will work best, and you will also have a good result when you go for sarees with small prints or those with beautiful borders.

Iran’s Press TV Anchor Arrested in US

Press TV has learnt that Hashemi is being held at a detention facility in Washington DC although no formal charges have been pressed against her.

The American-born journalist and television presenter, who had been traveling within the United States to visit her ill brother and other relatives, was detained at St. Louis Lambert International Airport on Sunday, and later transferred by the FBI to the detention facility.

Relatives had been unable to contact her for over 48 hours, and only recently learnt about her detention.

Even though there are no charges against her, Hashemi informed family members of mistreatment at the detention centre. She said her hijab had been removed against her will, and that she was being treated as a criminal.

Prison officials have also denied her access to halal or vegetarian dietary options and she has been living on only bread and crackers for several days now.

Hashemi, a Muslim woman, was born in the United States and is an American citizen.

Tehran Capable of Producing Homegrown Nuclear Equipment: Iran Nuclear Chief

“We designed the 20% enriched fuel through reverse engineering process (in the past) but today the reverse engineering process has no meaning in the AEOI,” Salehi was quoted as saying by the Persian-language Farhikhtegan magazine on Tuesday.

He added that the Iranian scientists in the AEOI are now able to produce fuel and equipment, including centrifuges, based on their own design and the country’s needs.

Salehi who had announced on Sunday that the country was taking the preliminary steps to produce what he called “modern 20%-enriched uranium” to fuel the country’s reactors, said in the interview that the western states have also understood that Iran no more needs reverse engineering.

“The recent announcement had them realize Iran’s message and notice the events,” he added.

Salehi said on Sunday that “the preliminary moves have started to design modern 20%-enriched fuel and we are on the threshold of it”.

“It is a product different from the former 20%-enriched fuel which could be used to fuel whatever reactor we build like the Tehran reactor,” he added.

“The nuclear reactor in Tehran has been working with the old fuel so far, but the modern fuel will increase its efficiency,” Salehi said.

The AEOI head had earlier warned that his country enjoyed the capability to restore 20-percent uranium enrichment if the 2015 nuclear deal was discarded by parties still remaining under the agreement.

Salehi said in December that under the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran accepted to put confidence-building curbs on its nuclear program, but they do not obstruct the “peaceful activities of Iran’s nuclear industry”.

“Enrichment is currently underway, but we would put aside the 300kg limit (set by the nuclear agreement) whenever we wish, and would do the enrichment at any volume and level,” he said in an interview with state TV on the sidelines of a visit to the Fordo nuclear facility.

“We currently have 1,044 centrifuges in Fordo, and if the establishment wants, we will restart 20-percent uranium enrichment in Fordo,” he noted.

Salehi expressed hope that the remaining parties to the nuclear agreement would deliver on their promise and implement their commitments in order to fill the gap created by the US after its unilateral withdrawal from deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Otherwise, he said, Iran will have to reduce its JCPOA commitments.

“I would like to warn that this is not a bluff; I have kept my word whenever I’ve said something. Now I’m emphasizing once again that if the establishment wants, we can easily return to the 20-percent enrichment, and meet the country’s needs at any level and volume,” he noted.

Iran’s FM Meets PUK Secretary-General

In this meeting, Zarif hailed the important role of the late PUK leader Jalal Talebani in the national unity of Iraq and the Kurdistan region.

In the meeting, the two sides expressed support for increasing economic and trade cooperation between Iraq’s Kurdistan, particularly Sulymanieh, and Iran, as well as efforts by private sector firms and entrepreneurs to deepen bilateral cooperation.

In the meeting, the two sides also discussed regional issues including the current developments in Syria, and political solutions to problems.

UN Official Praises Iran’s Role in Global Body

In an address to the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition co-organised by the UN and Iran in the northwestern province of Kermanshah on Monday, Maria Dotsenko referred to the importance of Iranian nation’s status in the UN and said the Iranian nation has always been seeking to sympathise with other nations.

She then referred to a poem the Persian poet inscribed on the entry of the UN saying that the poem reveals the philanthropic nature of Iranian nation.

Elsewhere in her statements, Dotsenko pointed to the peace-making efforts by the Iranians throughout history and said as Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made it clear during his latest UN speech on the urgency to create a world free from violence and terrorism, the Iranians have always been seeking to create peace and reconciliation with the outside world.

She also referred to the regular visit of the Iranian presidents to the UN over the past several years and said the idea of the dialogue of civilisations was raised first by one of Iranian presidents in his speech to the UN.

The UN officials thanked Kermanshah’s provincial officials for organising the exhibition and made a tour of the exhibition after officially inaugurating it.

The photo exhibition puts on display 66 significant photos and documents provided by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Ministry, Institute for Iranian Contemporary Historical Studies and the UN Information Centre in Tehran on the continuous cooperation between Tehran and the UN over the past years. Each photo is helpful by itself for any Iranian researchers working on the political science and international relations.

The exhibition includes some historical photos of leading Iranian figures, who played a role in the establishment of the United Nations as well as the visit of the seven UN secretary generals to Iran and some plans implemented by the UN in Iran.

Iran Conveys Concerns to Poland Over Iran-Focused Conference

The meeting took place at the request of the Polish official, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Iranian envoy, Masoud Edrisi Kermanshahi, conveyed the Islamic Republic’s concerns over the European country’s decision to host the conference that the US is going to hold against Iran from February 13 to 14.

According to the broadcaster, the two sides agreed to continue their consultations on the issue.

Recently, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reacted to the planned conference in a tweet and said, “Polish Govt can’t wash the shame: while Iran saved Poles in WWII, it now hosts desperate anti-Iran circus”.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News in an interview on Friday that Washington will jointly host a global summit focused on Iran and the Middle East in Poland next month.

During World War II, up to two million Polish civilians were arrested by the Soviet secret police and deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan. Many did not survive the long journey (lasting many weeks) by cattle train; many more died during their imprisonment.

Many others simply failed to get out after finally being freed from the Soviet gulags. A total of 120,000 Polish people, 3,000 of whom were orphans, escaped from the Soviet Union to Iran, starting a new life in the central province of Isfahan.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective Stories

Sadiq Mamqoli, is the first detective and criminal novel of Iran, which was published in 1925 during Reza Shah’s rule. The novel is known as Iranian Sherlock Holmes. It was published 20 years after the first translation of Sherlock Holmes into Farsi.

This work was written by Mirza Kazem Khan Mosta’an and recently was reprinted by Mania Honar publications after being edited by Mahdi Ganjavi and Mehrnaz Mansouri.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective StoriesThe protagonist of this Iranian novel is a sheriff known as Sadiq Mamqoli. He never uses magic to solve the issues and rather solves the mysteries with the help of his intelligence and in a rational method. At the end, Sadiq Mamqoli comes to a conclusion that really surprises the readers. The chief of the thieves is a young girl who has rebelled to avenge the tyranny of government agents. In this way, the writer also criticises the Qajar dynasty. This story is one of the first attempts to create an Iranian detective literary work that has used native atmosphere very well.

Recently, a book called “Sherlock Holmes is Like” has been published. The book is a collection of articles about detective storytelling characters and their relationship with Sherlock Holmes, which is compiled by Christopher Redmond, a member of the Sherlock Holmes Fans Association.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective StoriesRedmond contributed the part, which talks about Sherlock Holmes impact on Iranian literature, to Navid Farrokh.

“My job was to compare Sherlock Holmes with its Iranian model in my article,” Navid Farrokhi said in an interview with the Iranian Book News Agency (IBNA).

“The characters were similar to those of Sherlock Holmes. As the name suggests, the author of the first Iranian detective novel is clearly influenced by the early translations of Sherlock Holmes in Iran, and his character is similar to Sherlock in many respects. Undoubtedly, the existence of an Iranian literary character in this collection is really interesting,” he added.

Ties with Iran Highly Important: Barzani

He made the comments during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who has traveled the Kurdistan region after finishing his visit to Baghdad.

Ties with Iran Highly Important: BarzaniIran’s Foreign Minister entered Erbil Tuesday morning while welcomed by Iraqi Kurdistan’s Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

Referring to Iran’s support for Iraqi Kurdistan region during the invasion of ISIS terrorists, Barzani said “the Kurdistan’s people would never forget such supports.”

In turn, the Iranian foreign minister described Iran’s relations with Iraq and Kurdistan’s region long-standing, excellent and constructive saying their economic and commercial cooperation is developing.

The two sides also exchanged views on the regional issues stressing the importance of full restoration of peace, stability and security.

US-Organized Poland Conference Plays into Iran’s Hands: MP

Deputy Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kamal Dehqani said the conference is aimed at uniting Arab and “reactionary” governments in the region.

“The US, using money provided by some Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, is after advancing the Iranophobia project,” he said.

“Undoubtedly, such US moves will end up benefiting Tehran,” he noted.

The announcement shows the US frustration with its efforts to yield desirable outcome regarding Tehran, Dehqani said, adding that the new moves will further damage the US credibility.

“[The conference] may initially be seen to be to Iran’s detriment, but looking at the US status in the international arena, it becomes clear that the US has suffered losses, and the impact of its policies in the region will be less,” he pointed out.

The US State Department announced Friday that it will host a global conference in Poland on February 13-14 to discuss the Middle East, and Iran in particular.

Poland claims the conference would not target Iran, but Iranian officials believe it is part of the US pressure campaign against the country.
