Iran Slams UK’s Listing of Hezbollah as Terror Group

In a Saturday statement, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said the British government’s move comes at a time when Hezbollah in Lebanon has a very large social and popular base.

“Like other parties in the country, Hezbollah has an active and constructive presence in the elections and official activities of the Lebanese government, including municipal elections and trade unions elections,” he went on to say.

Qassemi further noted that Hezbollah currently not only has several seats in the parliament, but also is part of the Lebanese cabinet and has been backed up by a wide range of Lebanese and regional people thanks to its brilliant history of defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon against the Zionists’ occupation and aggression.

By listing Hezbollah as a terror group, the UK is deliberately overlooking a large number of the Lebanese people and the legitimacy of Hezbollah in the Lebanese administrative and political structure, he added.

“In order to understand the facts, we advise the British government to check the number of Hezbollah’s votes in the recent parliamentary elections and other elections,” noted Qassemi.

“Hezbollah itself has been a victim of Takfiri and Zionist terrorism. In addition to the positive and effective role it played in preserving the territorial integrity of Lebanon in the past decade, it has been one of the pillars and main elements of the fight against terrorism and terrorist groups like ISIS and their defeat in the region.”

The spokesman said certainly the wrong act of the British government cannot diminish this role and will not affect the will and faith of Hezbollah and its supporters to continue to fight terrorism and Zionism in the region.

Qassemi said “the Islamic Republic of Iran considers Hezbollah a legitimate force that plays an effective and undeniable role in contributing to the political stability and security of their country.”

“Tehran believes that putting Hezbollah on the terrorist list is a wrong and irresponsible act that not only does not contribute to the stability and security of Lebanon, but in violation of the international law ignores a large group of people of an independent state and their real representative.”

In a Friday statement, Hezbollah condemned the British government’s decision to list it as a terrorist organisation, saying the move showed London’s “servile obedience” to the United States.

The statement referred to Hezbollah as a “resistance movement against Israeli occupation”, describing the British move as an “insult to the feelings, sympathies and will of the Lebanese people that consider Hezbollah a major political and popular force.”

Britain said on Monday it planned to ban all wings of Hezbollah due to its “destabilising influence” in the Middle East, classing it as a terrorist organisation.

Pakistan Asks Iran to Help Resolve Tension with India

The Pakistani embassy’s statement censured the Indian media’s approach to Pulwama incident on 14 February 2019 in Jammu & Kashmir.

“The prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announced immediately after the incident that he is willing to share any information regarding the event with the Indian government and is ready to discuss the controversial issue of Kashmir through dialogue and negotiation,” reads the statement.

“Unfortunately, the Indian government did not welcome this move, and instead launched an offensive operation inside Pakistan which forced Islamabad to defend itself.”

Elsewhere in this statement, it has been stressed that the best way to solve all issues is through a peaceful way.

The Pakistani embassy in Tehran further mentioned that peace and stability in the region is in grave danger adding that it is necessary to examine the current situation immediately and consider it a serious threat to the peace and security of the region and the world.

The statement once again called on the international community to help reduce tensions between the two countries.

It also emphasised that the international community must condemn India’s attack and support the easing of tensions and urge India to stop violating human rights in the “occupied” Kashmir to promote peace and stability in the region.

The standoff between New Delhi and Islamabad triggered by a February 14 attack on Indian paramilitary forces in the Pulwama district of the disputed Kashmir region.

India blamed the attack on a militant group based in Pakistan. Islamabad repeatedly asked for evidence, which India said it has shared with Pakistan.

India started airstrikes on what it called terrorists’ positions in Kashmir, but Pakistan then downed an Indian fighter jet and captured an Indian pilot. New Delhi also claimed that it shot down a Pakistani warplane.

The pilot was finally handed over to New Delhi as sign of goodwill.

Iran’s Beauties in Photos: Rocky Mosque of Azarshahr

Located 200 metres from the historical cemetery of Qadamgah near Badamyar village in the southern part of Azarshahr, the mosque has been dug in rocky hills.

The building was used as a temple in pre-Islamic periods. After Islam, it was used as a mosque with villagers and tourists often carrying out religious ceremonies of the months of Muharram and Ramadan at this place.

Iran Congratulates Senegal, Nigeria on Holding Successful Elections

Photo of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari (right) and Senegalese President Macky Sall

In a Friday statement, Qassemi wished success for Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria and Macky Sall of Senegal who managed to be re-elected as the presidents of their respective countries after securing the majority of the votes.

He also expressed the hope that Tehran’s ties with Abuja and Dakar would further develop in light of the results of the recent elections in the two West African states.

Buhari was re-elected for a second four-year term on Wednesday. The 76-year-old defeated his main rival, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, with a margin of nearly four million votes.

Abubakar’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the result. Turnout was a record low at just 35.6%.

Sall also won a second term, of five years, following last Sunday’s election in Senegal.

He took 58% of the vote in the poll in which he faced four challengers, but was accused of preventing some of his main rivals from running.

Two well-known opposition figures were barred from taking part because of corruption convictions.

The opposition candidates have rejected the results, but say a court challenge would be futile.

‘Iran Asked to Help Saudis Leave Yemen without Losing Face’

bin salman

Hossein Shariatmadari, the Editor-in-Chief of Iranian daily Kayhan, in a recent speech claimed the Saudis have asked Iran to help them end the Yemen crisis without losing more face.

He said Saudi Arabia was expected to take full control of Yemen in just three days but it is now four years into the conflict and Saudis are still desperately seeking to occupy Yemen.

“Since the beginning of the war in Yemen, the Saudis have done nothing but brutally massacring Yemeni civilians,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Shariatmadari referred to efforts by certain circles to imply that the ghost of war is hovering over the Iranian nation and said this is part of enemies’ trick to disappoint Iranian people but to no avail.

He also said the Islamic Republic is now standing at its highest level of progress and added enemies will withhold no animosity towards Iran to stop its development.

Elsewhere, the Iranian journalist underlined that the enemies’ plot to highlight the gap between Iran and its ideal point is a trick to disappoint the nation and said the Islamic Republic has already made significant progress compared with the pre-Revolution era but it should continue its efforts to bridge further the gap.

He also called on Iranian revolutionary youths to remain vigilant against the enemies’ plots to portray them as a minority group in the Iranian society.

Islamic View Remains Influential In Region

Shariatmadari then underlined that today, Islamic views are alive in Syria as Jaish al-Watani, in Iraq as Hashd al-Shaabi, in Palestine as Hamas and in Yemen in Ansarullah.

The journalist also referred to the anti-Iran Warsaw conference held recently and added the conference was held with the aim of creating a psychological war against the Islamic Republic but “after its closure, the enemies declared that the conference was focused on the Middle East. This was a big lie by the arrogant powers.”

Elsewhere, he said Niki Haley, the former US  envoy to the United Nations once announced after her resignation that she had been tasked with portraying Trump as a crazy man to coerce Iran and other US enemies in the world into accepting Washington’s hegemony.

Revolution’s Second Phase to Overcome Challenges

Shariatmadari then referred to the domestic challenges that the Islamic Republic is facing and said leader of the Islamic Revolution has already offered some clues to remove all the domestic problems.

“The roadmap set forth by the wise leader Ayatollah Khamenei is now available and we should follow it not to get misled,” he noted.

The journalist underlined that the Iranian nation will never fall victim to the nasty deceptions of the enemies.

“Over the past forty years, Iranians have managed to free themselves of the enemies’ domination and choose their own fate,” he said.

He cited Islam as a religion with anti-oppression inclinations and said Iran by relying on Islamic teachings is challenging the international domination.

Shariatmadari said today’s domestic problems are deeply rooted in the penetration of American and liberalist teachings into the Iranian society.

Iranian iOS Apps No Longer Accessible to Users: Reports

Reports says iOS users can no longer access the mobile applications originating in Iran.

According to the reports, the iOS versions of the mobile apps developed in Iran have no longer been accessible to the users since Wednesday.

Several Iranian banks, online payment firms as well as ride-hailing and food delivery services have notified their mobile app users via text messages that the access to the iOS software has been blocked due to certain “restrictions imposed by the Apple company.”

Apple Inc. has not yet commented on the reports.

The tech has no formal operations in Iran due to the unilateral sanctions imposed by the US on the Islamic Republic. That, however, has not stopped Iranian technology lovers from buying Apple iPhones — which are being smuggled into the country among other Apple devices.

The US once removed its economic sanctions against Iran in 2016, months after a multinational nuclear deal with Iran, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), took effect, prompting Apple to get in touch with Iranian distributors to examine the possibility of entering the country.

Those American sanctions, however, were reinstalled when the US abandoned the nuclear deal in May last year.

In late 2017, months before Washington’s withdrawal from the deal, Apple removed apps originating in Iran from the App Store, citing American sanctions.

In response, Iranian Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi took to Twitter to complain about the move and said, “11 percent of the cellphone market in Iran belongs to Apple.”

“Respecting customer rights is a principle today that Apple hasn’t abided by. We will legally pursue the omission of apps,” he added.

A Hair Transplant Could Mean Great Things for Your Career

Look no further than the American Hair Loss Association for evidence of how your hair could be having an adverse effect on your professional life. It recently declared: “It is not uncommon for men to change their career paths because of their hair.” With this in mind, let’s look at three ways a hair transplant could mean great things for your career.

Professionalism
It’s previously been found that hair has been linked with professionalism. According to a survey carried out by Dove in which 2,000 men were questioned, eight out of ten participants admitted to feeling that a person’s hair was tied into how professional they looked. In this way, you could almost put a dashing head of hair on par with the likes of a flashy suit or designer briefcase. Luckily – much like suits and briefcases – a professional-looking head of hair is now within the reach of the average worker thanks to the availability of FUE hair transplant procedures.

Confidence
It can be extremely upsetting for a man to begin to lose his hair. In fact, the process can take such a toll on an individual that it ultimately knocks their self-esteem. Confidence, of course, is vital in any line of work. After all, it’s what allows us to build relationships with colleagues, clients and customers on a day-to-day basis. Fortunately, once a hair transplant has been completed, the procedure should have restored the patient’s confidence as well as their follicles. This should mean that they are once again feeling self-assured and ready to impress in the workplace.

Youth
Hair loss occurs for a variety of reasons, and it is more likely to happen to a person as they get older. Due to this, it is often thought of as being related to age. Unfortunately, youth – which is associated with energy and vibrancy – is cherished in most workplaces. This could mean that men who have started to lose their hair see themselves passed up for opportunities that go to those who appear younger. However, according to a survey carried out by the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, men who undergo hair transplants are generally presumed to be younger once the procedure had been completed. This should help them stay immune to any age-related discrimination.

Are you interested?
It’s time that you realised just how a hair transplant could be your secret weapon to getting ahead in your career – and that’s before you factor in just how beneficial it could also be for your personal life. If you want to follow in the footsteps of the many men who have already undergone the procedure and are enjoying the results, you can find out all the details you need by getting in touch with Vera Clinic.

Iran Urges India, Pakistan to Learn from Peaceful Culture of Nowruz

He made the remarks on Thursday in an address to an international conference on Nowruz in Tehran, which was attended by delegates from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, India, and Afghanistan.

“We are happy to be hosting delegates from the land of Nowruz,” Zarif said.

“In today’s world, we face the problem of lack of understanding and knowledge. As Iranian poet Hafez says, we should accept that ‘the wind of Nowruz blows from the house of the beloved one’. This means, we should set aside violence, hostility, suffering and domination.”

“We should make the culture of Nowruz global. This is a duty upon all of us as the heirs to the Nowruz heritage,” he noted.

Iran’s top diplomat said “we have to turn the mindset of power, domination and use of destructive weapons into the mindset of dialogue, inclusion, sympathy and coexistence in our homes, societies, region and the world.”

Zarif directly addressed the participating delegates and said “we should accept that we are aboard the same ship.”

“Violence brings no security for anyone. As heirs to the Nowruz culture, we should avoid any war among us. There should be no conflict between India and Pakistan.”

“You have turned Nowruz into a global event. It is a good fortune,” he said.

“Let’s take an oath today to give the colour of Nowruz to our lands and the world.”

Zarif pointed out that Nowruz is not a natural phenomenon, but a humane transformation that has been put on top of the UNESCO’s agenda.

The Iranian foreign minister then underlined that the delegates should understand that achieving security at the expense of others’ insecurity and making progress at the expense of others’ regression is not only undesirable but also impossible.

“We should accept that in today’s interconnected world, we either reach the shores of salvation together or drown together in environmental, insecurity or poverty crises.”

“Let’s speak to the whole world with the language of Iran, the land of Nowruz and culture. Peace can’t be achieved by domination. Let’s show it to the world with our Nowruz thought and behaviour that the era of hegemony and domination is gone,” he said.

The Iranian top diplomat then referred to the US’ move to spend 7 trillion dollars in the region saying today the country is facing a worse situation compared with the past.

“They should know that the situation remains the same for them even if they spend 70 or 700 trillion dollars. They won’t see peace in the region as long as they fail to accept the fact that human beings have common futures and problems with a common solution,” he said.

“Nowruz is the language of sympathy and getting out of sulk. Today in Iran, we need sympathy and unity more than ever. We are heirs to the Nowruz culture.”

“Iranians have been fed by a culture whose Imam said about 1,400 years ago that be kind to others because they are either your religious brothers or fellowmen in creation,” he added.

He finally noted that expressing sympathy is much better than speaking the same language.

“The spring of love arrives, to transform the dust into a garden. The call is heard from the heavens, to bid the wings of soul to fly.”
