Why Dedicated Translation Service and Not Machine Translation Is Key to Business Growth

While this is impressive, it can also be a reason for concern for many companies trying to enter the global market.

The problem with machine translation is it merely substitutes the words without really understanding the meaning behind them. Often, this is not enough because the translation is much more than just replacing words. Your content still has to make sense to connect with your readers.

The language conflicts

Fortunately, not all machine translations are outright incorrect. Some may turn out to be accurate, but you cannot leave your business on a chance like that. Although a few editing may rectify machine translated language, it is not the solution your business deserves. Anthony Teixeira, one of the leading French translators, said that to achieve high-quality content, the translation needs to have proper phrasing and the text needs to have context. The database of terminology of the translated language needs to be created by a professional human translator. It should not be left in the hands of technology because honestly, the results are often hilarious.

Your options

If you want to translate the language of your website to the native language of your target audience, here are three scenarios to consider:

  1. Follow machine translation religiously – as mentioned, machine translation will always have the risk of wrong grammar, and the resulting sentence may not make sense at all if the machine translator only translates words without focusing on the grammar and context of the text.
  2. Follow machine translation after light editing – another option that you may opt for is machine translation after a light editing by a human translator. The objective is to somehow make the text understandable. Although the text will be grammatically correct, the choice of words may still be doubtful.

iii.    Follow machine translation after heavy editing – this is closer to the perfection level, but is not quite up to the mark. A human translator will edit the machine translated text to provide a high-quality translation. But since the translator does not have the freedom to modify the content according to what the meaning should actually be as per the native language of your target audience, the output may not be satisfactory.

Human translation and proofreading

This is the fourth option that you can choose where there is no involvement of machine translation. If you value your brand and want your target audience to respond positively, you should hire a professional human translator. The process is rigorous, but the benefits are fruitful. This investment is particularly important for marketing collaterals, online websites, technical translations, and UIs where your brand name may be at risk if there is a grammatical inaccuracy.

Just like you find it odd when you see a typo in a website, your target audience with a different native language will find it odd when they can’t understand the translation. So, to avoid that confusion and embarrassment, hiring a human translator proves to be the only way to go. Through this, you can ensure that your content conveys the right message, thus boosting your chances of attracting more quality leads.

Several Wounded after Cargo Ship Capsizes in Southern Iran

The LS Star vessel completely overturned in the 25th quay of Shahid Rajaee Port. Reports say some of the crew of the ship have sustained injuries, including one that has lost one of his legs after collapse of the containers.

An official said lack of coordination between the ship’s officer and the contractor for loading and unloading has caused the accident, Tasnim News Agency reported.

All the 14 crew members were Indian, an Iranian official said.

The height of the ship from its bottom to its top is about 25 metres. Part of the ship is outside the water and the other part is below the sea level.

Iran to Sue US over Sanctions: President Rouhani

In a speech broadcast live on Monday, Rouhani said he had ordered the ministries of foreign affairs and justice “to file a legal case in Iranian courts against those in America who designed and imposed sanctions on Iran.”

“These sanctions amount to crime against humanity,” he said, adding if an Iranian court finds against US officials, Iran will pursue the case in international courts of justice.

Iran’s litigations against the US have already succeeded in international tribunals. In October, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered the US to exempt exports of humanitarian and civil aviation supplies to Iran.

“We were able to win in both the International Court of Justice in the Hague and the European courts, which means that we were able to legally defeat America, and of course, this trend should continue,” Rouhani said.

He said the enemies will never succeed in their attempts to weaken the Iranian nation despite having tried all in their power over the past 40 years.

The Iranian people, he said, has long resisted outside pressure and will keep up the fight until the enemy is defeated.

“The enemy made some attempts but never achieved what it desired even though sometimes” the pressure was too much, the president said.

Referring to US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear agreement and his pledge to tighten economic pressure on Iran, Rouhani said the US was looking for a way back to Iran after the nation overthrew the Shah during the 1979 Revolution.

“What the US did was based on the idea that they could return to Iran if they could keep the sanctions and increase the pressure,” he said.

Rouhani said Washington thought that abandoning the nuclear deal would prompt Iran to also abandon the agreement and that it could eventually have all UN sanctions removed under the deal, reinstated.

“We ruined their plan; they didn’t expect us to act like this,” he said.

The US, Rouhani said, expected Europe to follow its lead in quitting the nuclear deal but except for a few countries, the world stood in solidarity with Iran.

“Let the world know that what America has done is not against Iran or nuclear technology; rather, it is against the well-being, environment, food, medicine and the lives of the Iranian people,” he said.

Rouhani touched on some economic problems in the country, saying their root causes had been identified and the government was taking necessary measures to address them.

“The thieves ambushed us, our progress briefly slowed down and things became a bit difficult,” he said.

“A superpower like the US, the Zionist regime (of Israel) and the region’s reactionary (regimes) all joined forces to bring the Iranian nation to its knees and take their 40-year revenge” on Iran, he said.

As an example, the president noted, while there were still major sanctions against Iran, the country was able to launch new phases of South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.

On Sunday, Rouhani officially launched phases 13, 22, 23, and 24 of South Pars, the world’s largest gas field.

“Today is a very auspicious day for the Iranian nation, which has dealt strong blows to enemies, because they thought that by imposing sanctions, they would be able to stop all our plans and advances,” Rouhani said in Kangan.

Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said Iran, which shares the South gas field Pars with Qatar, expects to operate 27 phases by next March.

According to the Ministry of Petroleum, Iran has invested $11 billion to complete the four phases and they will increase the natioanal gas production capacity by up to 112 million cubic meters per day.

Battlefield Blood Binds Iran, Iraq, Syria Together: Assad

“The relation, which gathers Syria with Iran and Iraq, is strong,” Assad said in the capital Damascus on Monday, the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

He made the remarks during a meeting with the visiting Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri and the latter’s Iraqi counterpart Lieutenant General Othman al-Ghanimi. Syrian Defense Minister General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub was also in attendance during the meeting.

The bond was reinforced during Syria’s battle against foreign-backed terrorism and militancy, Assad added, as the blood of Syrians, Iranians, and Iraqis “have mixed in the battle against terrorism and its mercenaries, who are considered as a mere façade for the countries that support them.”

Militants and terrorists bankrolled by the United States and some of its Western and regional allies launched a campaign of bloodshed and destruction against Syria in 2011.

Enlisting the help of its allies, Iran, Iraq, and Russia, however, the Arab country reversed the course of the battle, reclaiming one territory after another from the foreign-backed assailants.

The Islamic Republic’s assistance has featured military advisory support, while Iraq would battle terrorism on its common border with Syria and conduct sanctioned airstrikes against terror havens on the Syria soil.

Assad said the meeting was also one among the principles, with which “our people are distinguished and we are proud of, most importantly, the dignity and sense of honor.”

The Syrian head of state and the top brass also discussed field developments in Syria and enhancement of coordination among the threesome nations towards a more successful anti-terror battle.

Baqeri, for his part, said that anti-terror fight and defending Syria, in turn, boosts Iraq and Iran’s security as terrorism threatens the three countries alike and also targets the region as a whole, SANA said.

The states and peoples of the region have to coordinate their efforts to combat this threat, he added.

Earlier on Monday, Baqeri, al-Ghanimi, and Ayyoub held a joint press conference in Damascus following a trilateral meeting.

During the presser, the Iranian military chief warned about efforts by stooges of the global arrogance to fuel insecurity in the Middle East. He stressed that the fight against terrorists will continue until their full elimination.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received a visiting Assad last month, noting that the Islamic Republic was honored to support Syria and considered it to be equal to supporting the entire resistance front. Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the triumph of the resistance front in Syria has made the United States angry and prompted it to hatch new plots.

The US has been leading a coalition consisting of scores of its allies in a 2014-present invasion of Syria. Damascus has invariably called for the coalition’s withdrawal, asserting that it rather serves to boost the terrorism that has been targeting the Arab nation.

Iran Says Won’t Permit Development of Dolphinariums

Hamid Zahrabi, a deputy director of the Department of Environment, says the government is against the development of dolphinariums and the exploitation of other animals in circuses.

“We believe recreational centres can be constructed without harassing animals. Therefore, I do not agree with the development of dolphinariums, and we have issued an instruction to prevent the development of these centres,” noted Zahrabi.

Although animals in dolphinariums are usually born in captivity and are not directly separated from the nature, in any case, they are trained under pressure to do things that are not naturally occurring, he added.

Iran Says Won’t Permit Development of Dolphinariums“Measures to train animals in these centres are not acceptable and, according to numerous religious decrees (fatwas), such exploitation of animals is not permissible and in some cases is Haram,” maintained Zahrabi.

The official further pointed out that studies show between 2009 and 2018, thirteen dolphinariums were shut down in 10 countries, mostly due to the unpleasant living conditions of marine mammals, including whales and dolphins in these centers.

Recently, the issue of launching a dolphinarium in the southern city of Ahvaz has been raised in the media and, as it is said the officials of the recreation centre are seeking to use animals such as sea lion, seals, and penguins next to dolphins.

Iran Says All Illegal Foreign Forces Must Leave Syria

Iran Will Definitely Change Approach to UAE: Top General

“[Those foreign] forces who are present in Syria without any authorization from the country’s government must leave the Syrian soil as soon as possible,” Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said upon his arrival in Damascus on Sunday.

Baqeri added that he plans to take part in a tripartite meeting with senior Syrian and Iraqi commanders to coordinate efforts made by the three countries in their fight against terrorism and also to discuss the withdrawal of foreign forces from Syria.

“As Iran has come to Syria at the official invitation of Syria’s government, the presence of other countries should also take place through the Syrian government’s coordination and authorization,” Baqeri said.

Saying that Iran, Syria, Russia and Iraq as well as the resistance front have managed to make great achievements during the recent years in the fight against terrorism thanks to their remarkable coordination, the top Iranian commander added that efforts would continue to fully liberate Syria.

Baqeri noted that he would hold separate talks with military officials of Syria and Iraq on ways to boost cooperation among the three countries’ armed forces.

Back in December, the top Iranian military commander said despite its mainly peaceful defense doctrine, the Islamic Republic maintains powerful military presence in the region, warning certain regional countries against inviting the US to the Persian Gulf to hatch plots against Iran.

“Regional enemies of Iran must know that in parallel to its peaceful doctrine, the Islamic Republic of Iran maintains powerful and firm military presence, and if need be, it would not only defend its territorial integrity, but also hold the inviting countries responsible for any consequences,”Baqeri said.

Over the past years, Iran and Russia have been respectively lending military advisory support and aerial backup to the Syrian military in its battle against Takfiri terrorists.

US Pressures Won’t Break Iran, President Rouhani Says

Speaking to reporters on Monday after the last cabinet session in the current Iranian year, Rouhani said the archenemies of Iran have made every effort to disrupt the Iranian people’s normal life and stop the country’s progress.

Hitting back at the critics who blame the government’s mismanagement for the existing problems in Iran, the president said, “The US, Zionism and regional reactionary (regimes) have created such conditions for the country.”

He took a swipe at the US, Zionists and reactionary regional states for upsetting the foreign currency market in Iran, adding that his administration worked hard and could handle the situation.

Denouncing the US withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and imposing tough sanctions against Iran, the president said, “They (Americans) think they can return to Iran by continuing pressures, and their objective is to return to Tehran, but this is impossible as this (Iranian) nation will keep resisting.”

The president also highlighted Iran’s victories over the US in the international arena, pointing to court rulings in favor of the Islamic Republic.

Rouhani further called on the administrative officials to lodge a case against the US authorities who have engineered sanctions against Iran, which he branded as crimes against humanity.

“The world should know that what the US has done against Iran has targeted the people’s ordinary life and foodstuff, and the judicial case (to be brought by Iran) would specify the measures we should do in future,” he added.

In May 2018, the US president pulled his country out of the JCPOA, the nuclear deal that was achieved in Vienna in 2015 after years of negotiations among Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

Following the US exit, Iran and the remaining parties launched talks to save the accord.

Kale Pache; Unusual Iranian Dish All Tourists Must Try

kale pache recipe

Kale Pache, which literally means [sheep] head and trotter in Persian, is cooked in different countries almost in the same way. It is prepared by cooking the head, arms, legs and the inner organs of the sheep (or calf). It includes the tongue, brain, eyes, head’s flesh and trotters of the sheep.

According to Iranian medicine experts, people with acute and dry cough and those with hemorrhoids who have a good digestive tract can use Kalle-pache with vinegar, honey and cinnamon.

However, people suffering from heart disease and diabetic patients should not eat this food.

Kalle-Pache; Unusual Iranian Dish All Tourists Must Try

Recipe for Kale Pache plus add-ons:

The first stage in the cooking process is to trim the sheep head and trotters. Clean them well and pound the head hard on a surface so that the mucus and other waste inside the sheep’s nasal passage are completely out.

You can use a brush to clean the teeth. Use heat to burn the very tiny hair on the sheep head and then remove them using a knife.

Then wash the sheep head again so that black color fully fades away and leave it to dry. Now dice the onions and put them inside a big pot.

Second stage:

Here, you should add some oil to the onions and fry them until they get lighter. Next, grate the garlics and add them to the pot. Let the garlics fry for about two minutes and emit their fragrance. It is time to add some ginger, cinnamon sticks, black pepper, and turmeric to the pot and let them fry for one minute. Then add the sheep head and totters to the pot slowly.

Third stage:

In this stage, add some water to the pot to the level that it covers the ingredients. Add some lime juice and turn up the flame to the maximum level for it to start boiling sooner. When it reaches the boiling level, remove the foam from over the top of the liquid. This improves the taste and smell. Then, turn down the heat to the lowest level possible.

Fourth stage:

Give it eight hours to get cooked slowly and generate oil. At the same time, add peas to a container and soak them in water for some time.

Fifth stage:

Two hours toward the end of the cooking process, strain the peas and add them to the main pot. Next, add salt and remove the cinnamon sticks.
When the Kale Pache is well done, remove the broth, pass it through a strainer, return it inside the pot, and let the ingredients get cooked for another 20 minutes.

Final stage:

Separate the oil created over the broth using a ladle and pour it inside a small pot with some cinnamon powder before boiling it with the stove flame turned up.

How to serve the Kale Pache

Now we move the pot from over the heat. Then, we trim the head and trotters and pour them on a big platter.

Then we pour the Kale Pache broth into a bowl, and we add a mixture of oil and cinnamon to each bowl.

Additionally, we serve fresh Sangak bread, vegetables, and lemon with the Kale Pache.

Frequently asked questions

1. How can you cook Kale Pache with a pressure cooker?

First, we put the head and trotters together with the other ingredients mentioned above into the pressure cooker, then we put the cap firmly in place and put it on the stove. It will be ready in two hours.

If, however, you would like to get a taste of the real stuff, make sure to cook traditionally.

2. How can you trim the sheep brain?

Remember that inside the sheep’s brain, there is an inedible gland, which you should remove after preparing the Kale Pache. The sheep brain has a soft texture so you can easily find the gland using your hand.
