‘Iran No Longer Sees US Forces in Mideast as Ordinary Soldiers’

US Marine Corps General Kenneth F. McKenzie, Commander US Central Command, which was officially labelled as a terrorist organization by Iran's Supreme National Security Council on April 8, 2019

Seyyed Abbas Araqchi made the comment after the White House put Iran’s Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on its list of foreign terrorist organizations.

“From now on, US troops in the [Middle East] region will not be ordinary soldiers from our point of view. They are terrorist forces, and US bases in the region are also terror bases, and the way we deal with them will definitely be different from that of the past,” he said.

He said Iran has sent to the US a clear message in that regard via the embassy of Switzerland, which represents the US interests in Iran.

Iran Officially Labels US ‘State Sponsor of Terrorism’

“Through the Swiss ambassador, we sent a straightforward and direct message to the United States that if it goes ahead with its plan, [Iran’s] reciprocal action will be clear and swift, and the US will be directly responsible for any incident that might happen from then on,” he said, recalling that the Swiss ambassador had been summoned to the Foreign Ministry to be notified of Iran’s message to the US.

“The Americans are responsible for many crimes, including the attack on our passenger plane to the developments in Yemen, Syria, Palestine and support for the ISIS [terror group], and CENTCOM (the US Central Command) and forces affiliated to it are involved in all those [crimes] and can be regarded as terrorist elements,” said the top official.

He said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s letter was in that regard and was confirmed by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

“In a statement, the SNSC introduced CENTCOM and forces affiliated to it as terrorist entities. This move can have severe consequences for the region,” Araqchi noted.

“American forces keep coming to and moving across the Persian Gulf, and it is a duty of the IRGC to safeguard the Persian Gulf,” he noted.

Gen. Soleimani Urges Popular Forces to Help Flood-Hit People

General Soleimani made the remarks during a visit to the flood-hit areas of Khuzestan province.

He said that helping the people of Khuzestan is like defending the holy shrines in Syria and defending the Iranian territory during the eight-year war against Iraq.

“At the moment many youths are insisting to be deployed to Syria to defend the holy shrines, but helping people in Khuzestan is the same as defending the holy shrines because nothing is more important than preserving the dignity of a human being,” added the senior commander.

“I was impressed by the efforts of people in Khuzestan. Although the government insists on evacuating, they are resisting with preliminary equipment. I think we have passed the main wave of the crisis, but at the same time we must help people not to be disturbed.”

Flooding swamped northeast Iran in mid-March before spreading to the west and southwest of the country later in the month. Heavy rains brought more floods to the west and southwest at the start of April.

One of the worst-hit areas is southern Khuzestan province where fresh flood warnings have been issued to the people.

Evacuation orders remain in place for homes near river banks and in areas at high risk of flooding. Large areas remain inundated as the affected citizens are trying to cope with the situation.

Villages Evacuated as Huge Dam on Iran’s Karkhe River Overflows

In comments on Monday, Gholamreza Shariati said while the inflow and outflow of water at the Dez dam have declined and the situation is under control, the other major dam on the Karkhe river has overflown.

He said an evacuation order has been issued for people living in the towns of Soosangerd, Bostan, Rafee’, Koot Seyed Naeem, Abu Humaydha and Hamidiya.

It is necessary for women, children, and the elderly to leave those areas, the governor stressed, saying young people can stay and protect the cities by making flood barriers.

Thousands of people living near the Karkhe and Dez rivers in Khuzestan have left their houses in recent days.

Record spring rainfall that has battered Iran in the past weeks caused serious flooding in many areas, mainly the provinces of Golestan, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Fars and Ilam.

The death toll from the floods has surpassed 70, while the highest number of casualties occurred in the province of Fars with 21 deaths.

Meanwhile, the Army Ground Force, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Basij have deployed forces, heavy military machinery, aircraft and boats to the disaster zones.

On Friday, the IRGC Aerospace Force said its helicopters have rescued some 200 people trapped by flood waters in the rural areas of Ilam.

Commander of the Army Ground Force also announced that 6,000 Army troops have been deployed to the province of Lorestan for rescue and relief operations.

For instance, now a customer can contact to a watch company anytime via social media in order to inquire about his/her favorite brands like jaeger lecoultre or Rolex, etc. it will not only help customers to acquire useful details in real time but the companies will also be able to secure more sales.

Provide Mobile Access

Customers always want convenient and simple ways to connect with their favorite brands or companies when it comes to get useful details or information regarding some products or services. They not only want information in real time but even while on the go. So, a brand or company should provide them with mobile access to help them resolved their queries on the way. Social media platforms, mobile responsive websites and mobile apps are the best means of digital communication that allows brands to stay in touch with their customers whenever and wherever they want.

Social Media is a Standard Customer service Tool These Days

Majority of people use social media not only to effectively communicate with each other but to check the product reviews, customer feedback and other likely information before making purchases. Customers can instantly criticize or appreciate brands and business over social media that can be a great thing for businesses to improve their products or services as per customer needs and requirements.

Pakistan Ready to Send Humanitarian Aid to Iran: FM

Speaking in a Monday phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, Qureshi also expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation and government over the deadly flooding.

Zarif, for his part, thanked the government and nation of the friendly and neighbouring country of Pakistan.

The phone call came shortly after Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan offered humanitarian assistance to Iran.

In a Tweet on Sunday, Imran Khan wrote that his prayers are with the Iranian people. He also expressed Pakistan’s readiness to provide any humanitarian assistance required.

Iran moved on Saturday to evacuate more towns and villages threatened by floods after continued rain in the southwest of the country as the nationwide toll from the flooding reached 70.

About 1,900 cities and villages have been affected by floods after exceptionally heavy rains since March 19.

Several countries and international humanitarian bodies have so far started dispatching their aid cargos to the crisis-hit areas of Iran.

Iran Officially Labels US ‘State Sponsor of Terrorism’

What follows is the full text of the statement released on Monday in reaction to the US move to designate Iran’s IRGC as a terror group:

In the Name of God

The Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the illegal and dangerous move by the US regime to put the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in the list of “Foreign Terrorist Organizations”, and considers the groundless measure as a major threat to the regional and international peace and security, and a clear violation of jus cogens (peremptory norms) and the UN Charter.

Unlike the US and its regional allies which have always supported extremist groups and terrorists in the West Asia region, the IRGC has constantly been at the forefront of fight against terrorism and extremism in the region. The role of this selfless and revolutionary force in fight against Al-Qaeda, ISIS, al-Nusra Front, and other terror groups in the region has always been praised by the affected people and governments.

In a reciprocal response to the illegal and unwise move made by the US today, the Islamic Republic of Iran announces that it designates the US regime a “State Sponsor of Terrorism” and “the US Central Command or CENTCOM” and all its affiliated forces a “terrorist group”.

The CENTCOM is responsible for implementing the terrorist policies of the US administration against the West Asia region, and has endangered the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the lives of innocent Iranians and non-Iranians in order to impose the hostile policies of the US, including the brutal and intentional attack on the Iranian passenger plane in 1988, its complicity in the slaughter of Yemeni people and other civilians in the West Asia.

Clearly, the US regime will bear all the responsibilities for the dangerous consequences of the adventurist move.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has designated the US forces in West Asia known as CENTCOM as a terrorist organisation in a reciprocal move.

The designation came after a letter by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in which he called on the SNSC Chief President Hassan Rouhani to add the US CENTCOM to Iran’s list of terror groups.

FM Zarif called for the designation given the overt and covert support of US military forces in the region for terrorist groups and their direct involvement in terrorist activities, the Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on Monday.

The foreign minister raised the issue based on the “Law to Counter Human Rights Violations and Adventurous and Terrorist Acts of the US in the Region” earlier ratified by the Iranian parliament, the statement added.

The move came after the United States designated Iran’s IRGC as a foreign terrorist organisation.

Critics have warned that the move could open US military and intelligence officials to similar actions by unfriendly governments. The United States has already blacklisted dozens of entities and people for affiliations with the IRGC, but not the organisation as a whole.

In a statement on Monday, Trump accused the IRGC of financing and promoting terrorism. He also labelled Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism.

US Designates Iran’s IRGC as Foreign Terrorist Group“This action will significantly expand the scope and scale of our maximum pressure on the Iranian regime,” reads a statement by the White House.

Trump also claimed that this action sends a clear message to Tehran that its “support for terrorism” has serious consequences.

In response, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif sent a letter to the country’s Supreme National Security Council and the Head of this council President Hassan Rouhani, advising the Council to designate US forces in West Asia known as CENTCOM as a terrorist organization from the viewpoint of Iran.

Earlier, the IRGC warned that the US military will no longer have calm in West Asia if it designates the elite force as a terror entity. The Iranian parliament has also prepared a motion against the decision.

The IRGC has provided advisory support to Syria and Iraq in their battle against ISIS terrorists. It is also actively cooperating in construction, infrastructure and relief projects.

Iran, Turkmenistan Celebrate Nowruz near Common Border

The international event was attended by officials from the two countries including Turkmen Minister of Culture and Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organisation Ali Asghar Mounesan.

During the ceremony, Mounesan said Nowruz is a transnational celebration, and the ancient heritage of people who believed in the resurrection of man and nature, who adored light, truth and peace, and blamed darkness, lie and war.

“Throughout history, borders are displaced and geographic and political divisions take a new form, but the culture of nations is not bound to these political borders,” added Mounesan.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has registered Nowruz on the World Heritage List, and March 21 is known as the International Day of Nowruz. Today, more than 300 million people of different nationalities from about 30 countries celebrate Nowruz as the culmination of nature’s revival, he added.

The Iranian vice president said “today, we are on our common border with Turkmenistan to say that the borders we share are our culture.”

This common culture binds our hearts together from Iran to India, and from Turkmenistan to Albania, underlined Mounesan.

Iran Agrees to Baghdad’s Mediation between Tehran, Riyadh: Source

While Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi was on a trip to Iran, an informed Iraqi source claimed Tehran had asked the premier to help improve relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Abdul Mahdi arrived in Tehran on his first trip to Iran as Prime Minister on April 6, 2019 and sat down with senior Iranian authorities, reported fararu webstie.

High on the agenda of the talks was the promotion of mutual economic cooperation. Still, certain Iraqi sources said there were discussions on Baghdad acting as an intermediary between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

After Abdul Mahdi’s arrival in Tehran, an Iraqi political source announced that the premier would present a solution to bring the viewpoints of Tehran and Riyadh closer together.

According to the same source, Abdul Mahdi’s trip to Iran was seemingly aimed at boosting mutual ties and discussing mechanisms to implement the agreements and memoranda of understanding already signed by the two countries, said the same source. However, the source added, the prime minister would also put forward a solution to ease tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

On day two of Abdul Mahdi’s trip to Iran on April 7, 2019, another Iraqi source privy to the details of the premier’s trip said in an interview with baghdadtoday.com that Iran had asked the Iraqi prime minister to rectify Iranian-Saudi relations through a three-way meeting attended by Iran, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Abdul Mahdi is to travel to Saudi Arabia in the coming days. According to Iraqi sources, the state of Baghdad’s mediation between Tehran and Riyadh will be clarified after the prime minister’s trip to Riyadh.
