Rouhani to Visit Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan for Asian Summits

President Rouhani is scheduled to travel to Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, on June 13 to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

Kyrgyz officials say the presidents of Iran, Afghanistan, Belarus and Mongolia have been invited to the conference as observers, noting that 20 regional and international documents will be signed at the conclusion of the summit.

Known as a major Eurasian political and economic alliance, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established in June 2001 in Shanghai by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

After visiting Bishkek, the Iranian president will travel to Tajikistan to attend the 5th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rouhani’s participation in the summit has been confirmed during Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Mukhriddin’s recent trip to Tehran.

Heading a diplomatic delegation, Mukhriddin visited Iran on May 31 and held talks with a number of senior Iranian officials.

The upcoming CICA summit in Dushanbe, slated for June 14 and 15, is designed to serve as a platform for discussing and resolving problems in Asia, as well as for promoting initiatives and finding effective mechanisms at a high level.

The idea of formation of CICA was first brought up by Kazakhstan’s outgoing President Nursultan Nazarbayev in October 1992, during the 47th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Racist Shop Owner in Iran Ordered by Court to Apologize to Afghans

Prosecutor general of the city of Nazarabad, west of Tehran, said the shop owner who had barred the Afghan nationals from entering his store has been kept in custody for insulting the Afghan people, but promised to try to make up for his wrongdoing.

The shop owner has been released on parole, and is required to offer a formal apology to Afghans in the cyberspace, give special discounts to the Afghan citizens for three months, raise a banner to announce that the items are on sale for Afghans, and carry out research into the history of cordial ties between Afghanistan and Iran, Ruhollah Ahmadi said.

According to the prosecutor general, the court can issue appropriate rulings in lieu of the prison term.

Over the past 40 years Iran has been hosting 3 million Afghans who fled wars and conflicts in their country.

There are 452,000 refugee and displaced students in Iran, from which 420,000 are Afghans studying at different levels for free.

“An effort to bring the US back to the Iran nuclear deal, compensating Iran for the loses it has sustained following the US withdrawal from the JCPOA and removing all transnational sanctions against the Islamic Republic could be a guarantee for the success of the upcoming visit of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Tehran,” said the spokesman for Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

In an article published by Fars news agency on Saturday, Keyvan Khosravi also hailed the relations between Iran and Japan in economic and political areas, saying they have always been growing and stable.

“The visit of Japanese prime minister to Iran certainly serves as a significant measure to strengthen mutual ties between Iran and Japan. It goes without saying that Japan’s top official will use the visit as a chance to promote his country’s political status,” the op-ed said.

He went on to say that Japan’s approach towards legal and political norms has been approved by the international community, and has not been hampered by extreme measures.

According to Khosravi, preserving and promoting their economic and political status at the international arena is among the main principles which Japanese people feel duty-bound to observe.

He said the status serves as a national capital and is deeply interconnected with the country’s national identity.

Abe is set to travel to Tehran on Wednesday. Japanese media say the visit is aimed at easing tensions between Tehran and Washington.

The trip comes after US president Donald Trump expressed support for Japan to reach out to the Islamic Republic in a meeting with Abe last week. Abe will become the first sitting Japanese Prime Minister to visit Iran in four decades.

Iran DM Says US Calls for Unconditional Talks ‘Deceitful’

Brigadier General Amir Hatami said Saturday that White House officials had made similar “untrue” and “demagogic” statements in the past.

Such statements are “very deceitful because they have already implemented many unilateral and illegal conditions and preconditions against our country,” he said.

He said Washington has carried out “anything imaginable” in its attempts to wage an economic war against Tehran through expanding sanctions and intensifying political pressure.

“They have not spared any hostile and malevolent efforts to weaken the Islamic Republic,” General Hatami continued.

The remarks came days after US President Donald Trump and his state secretary, Mike Pompeo, both expressed willingness for direct talks with Iran without any pre-conditions.

Iran has rejected the offer, saying it would only sit down for talks when the US rights all of its aggressive policies against the country over the past years and treats Tehran with respect.

US in No Position to Comment on Iran’s Missiles: Zarif

“Our missiles are not ‘designed’ for nukes, which we’re not developing,” Zarif said in a post on his official Twitter account on Friday.

In an interview with The Washington Times this week, Pompeo once again reaffirmed the US administration’s strategy of applying economic pressure on Iran.

“The objectives are to change the behavior of the Islamic Republic of Iran. … No terror around the world, no expeditionary terror around the world, put your missile program back inside a set of constraints that had been identified in UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and … have a permanent commitment not to develop your nuclear program,” Pompeo said.

Resolution 2231 endorsed the multilateral nuclear accord, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was signed between Iran and the major world powers, including the United States, in 2015.

Under the JCPOA, Iran undertook to put limits on its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of nuclear-related sanctions imposed against Tehran. However, US President Donald Trump pulled his country out of the JCPOA in May 2018 and re-imposed harsh sanctions against the Islamic Republic in defiance of global criticisms.

The US administration claims that Tehran had violated the JCPOA with a series of ballistic missiles tests over the past four years.

In his tweet, Zarif said the US and its allies are in no position to criticize the Islamic Republic’s missile program and lashed out at the West for making arms deals with the countries that are killing the Yemeni people.

“The US—which violated UNSCR 2231 in withdrawing from JCPOA—or its allies (in violation of its provision on normalizing economic relations w/Iran) are in no position to push a conceited interpretation of its missile provision while pouring weapons into hands that kill Yemenis,” the top Iranian diplomat said.

An American think tank said in April that it has found new data showing US arms deals with Saudi Arabia and the UAE are “dramatically understated” and billions more than previously reported.

The data collected by arms trade watchdog Security Assistance Monitor (SAM) shows the US has struck at least $68.2 billion worth of deals with the two countries since they started their war in Yemen.

In another tweet, Zarif said that Resolution 2231 has “called upon” Iran not to undertake any activity aimed at designing ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

He emphasized that the Security Council resolution does not enforces any prohibition in this regard.

French President Emmanuel Macron also on Thursday accused Tehran of making efforts to achieve nuclear arms and said France and the US both wanted to stop Tehran getting nuclear arms and new talks should focus on curbing its ballistic missiles program and on other issues.

In a Thursday meeting with the US president, Macron listed four common priorities of the US and France in addressing “Iranian behavior”: preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, reducing Iran’s ballistic activity, containing Iran’s regional activity and establishing peace in the region.

However, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Moussavi rejected French calls for wider international talks over its nuclear program and said Macron’s comments will be of no help to saving the Iran nuclear deal and will just further deepen distrust among its signatories.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with heads of international news agencies on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again stressed the importance of preserving the multilateral nuclear agreement, saying Moscow does not approve of “what is being done against Iran.”

In reaction to Macron’s remarks, the Russian leader drew a line between Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and said, “Yes, someone may be concerned by Iran’s missile programs. But that’s a different problem.”

Rice Cultivation Starts in Iran’s Mazandaran

Rice cultivation includes a number of difficult steps: preparing the land, providing quality rice seedlings, building rice warehouse, moving the seedlings from warehouse to the farm, etc.

Today there are two methods for rice farming: traditional (manual) and automatic (mechanized).

Rice fields are tourist sites per se, and it’s a joy to watch how the rice is planted.

What follows are Mizan News Agency’s photos of Mazandaran rice fields:

Iranian Scientists Invent Pain Relief Kit for Joint Diseases

Iranian Scientists Invent Pain Relief Kit for Joint Diseases

The anti-pain kit called “Orthokine PRP” is used to treat joint diseases. This therapeutic technique has an analgesic effect and provides high relief.

This method stops the chronic inflammatory process and has a long lifespan. It is very effective in most patients, especially in those who are suffering from knee and pelvis arthritis.

Iran Becomes Third Largest Producer of Orthokine PRP Kits

The benefits of this product in comparison to its foreign counterparts is the use of polished glass tubes instead of plastic syringes in the blood sampling process. This accelerates the production of the cytokines released in the blood. It has also eliminated the disadvantages of the micro-plastics used in the foreign samples.

Also, the use of PRP method along with the Orthokine therapy has some advantages. Reconstruction of joints along with pain relief due to platelet-rich plasma injection occurs at the final treatment uniqueasthmatreatmentsecrets.com.

This comes as the imported sample only reduces the pain. The low cost of the Orthokine kit, along with its high effectiveness, has increased the demands for this product.

Iran Strongly Condemns US’ Petrochemical Sanctions

Iran Says What IAEA Wants to Access “Not A Site”

In a Saturday statement, Mousavi described the sanctions as an instance of economic terrorism and part of the White House’s constant hostilities towards the Iranian nation.

“Only one week was enough to prove the US president’s claim that he seeks negotiation with Iran was a hollow one,” Mousavi said.

“The US’ policy of maximum pressure is a failed policy that had already been tested by the country’s previous presidents for several times,” he added.

Mousavi said this is a wrong path and the US administration can rest assured it will not achieve any of the goals it had it mind when implementing the policy.

He also referred to certain American officials’ calls for negotiation with Iran, and described them as deceitful and false claims aimed at attracting the attention of public opinion.

“The US’ move [to impose sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical companies] is against the basic principles and rules of international law and relations as well as the US regime’s international commitments, and will lead to international liabilities for them [the US],” Mousavi added.

“All countries have a duty to show reaction to the blatant violation of the fundamental principles of the international law, and prevent the international community’s achievements in multilateralism from being further destroyed by the US ruling system’s bullying and unilateral measures,” he noted.

US President Donald Trump’s administration has announced new sanctions on Iran, targeting the country’s petrochemical industry, including its largest petrochemical holding group, called Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC).

The Treasury Department in a statement on Friday accused PGPIC of its financial support for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and said that sanctions are aimed to choke off financing for Iran’s largest and most profitable petrochemical group.

Treasury also imposed sanctions on the holding group’s network of 39 subsidiary petrochemical companies and what it called “foreign-based sales agents.” It warned that international companies continuing to partner with PGPIC or its subsidiaries and sales agents “will themselves be exposed to US sanctions.”

“This action is a warning that we will continue to target holding groups and companies in the petrochemical sector and elsewhere that provide financial lifelines to the IRGC,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in the statement.

“By targeting this network we intend to deny funding to key elements of Iran’s petrochemical sector that provide support to the IRGC,” he added.
