No More IAEA Inspection If Acts of Terror Repeated: IRGC General

Iran Sees ‘Positive Outlook’ for Ties with IAEA after Latest Report

Major General Mohsen Rezaei said on Saturday that Iran’s national security should be preserved.

“Don’t allow Iran’s national security to be harmed,” said Rezaei, who is also the secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should lodge a complaint with international circles and remind them that if another minor act of terror is committed, Iran will block international inspectors’ access to its nuclear activities,” he noted.

“It goes without saying that a repeat of such terrorist acts would indicate the weakness of the country’s intelligence agencies, and efforts should be redoubled to prevent such acts of terror,” he said.

Iran’s Leader Orders ‘Definitive Punishment’ of Scientist’s Assassins

In a Saturday statement, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei urged relevant bodies to pursue the issue.

“All relevant authorities should seriously put two key issues on the agenda,” he said in a message.

“First, they should follow up on this crime and mete out definitive punishment for those who perpetrated and ordered it,” said the Leader.

“Authorities should also follow up on the scientific and technical efforts made by martyr Fakhrizadeh in all sectors that he was working in,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Leader also expressed condolence on the martyrdom of the eminent scientist.

Iran to Respond to Scientist’s Assassination at Right Time: Rouhani

President Hassan Rouhani said Saturday Iran will respond to this terror act at the appropriate time.

“All think tanks and all enemies of Iran should know that Iranian people and officials are so brave that they will not leave this criminal act unanswered,” said the president.

“Relevant authorities will respond to this crime at the right time,” he underscored.

He said the Iranian nation is wise enough not to fall in this Israeli trap.

Eminent Iranian missile and nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated by terrorists in an area to the east of Tehran on November 27, 2020.

Many Iranian authorities say there is ample evidence implicating the Israeli regime’s role in the killing.

Assassination of Fakhrizadeh Not to Disrupt Iran’s Scientific Growth: Rouhani

In a message released on Saturday, President Rouhani paid tribute to Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was assassinated in a small city near Tehran on Friday afternoon, offering condolences to the late figure’s family, the Iranian scientific society, and the revolutionary Iranian people.

The president said the martyrdom of another Iranian fellow at the “dirty hands of the global arrogance, with the usurper Zionist regime working as its mercenary” made the Iranian nation mourn the loss of a diligent scientist.

“Such terrorist and cowardly incident undoubtedly results from the frustration and inability of the Iranian nation’s sworn enemies in the face of the great Iranian nation’s scientific progress, glories, and capabilities, and from their (enemies’) successive defeats in the region and in other political arenas in the world,” the president added, saying such crime laid bare the depth of the enemies’ viciousness and hostility, just like their other inhumane measures.

President Rouhani then made it clear to the enemies that martyrdom of characters like Fakhrizadeh will not only not disrupt the Iranian scientists’ determination to press on with the rapid scientific progress and winning more glories, but also strengthens their resolve to stick to the path of the late martyr.
The president finally gave an assurance that the Defense Ministry will make up for the loss of the great scientist with increased efforts and altruism and by taking advantage of the late figure’s colleagues and students.

Fakhrizadeh was assassinated by unknown gunmen in a small city east of Tehran on Friday evening.

After sustaining injuries from a car explosion and bullets, Fakhrizadeh was taken to the hospital with a helicopter, but succumbed to injuries a few hours later.

Slain Iranian Scientist Led National Nuclear Defence Program: DM

Brigadier General Amir Hatami said thanks to martyr Fakhrizadeh’s extensive work in this domain, Iran now enjoys the necessary know-how and products in the field of nuclear defence as in other areas of the defence industry.
“He offered outstanding services in this domain,” said the defence chief.

The top commander noted Iran attaches special importance to defence against nuclear, chemical and biological weapons as the country faces serious threats by the enemy in that regard.
“Our enemy is the criminal US, which has carried out the only nuclear attack in the world,” said the top commander.

“Our enemies are those who supplied arms to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, whose regime conducted the most extensive chemical attacks against us, our troops, our people and even their own people,” he added.

“So, chemical, nuclear and biological defence is a very important and up-to-date issue in the defence ministry and in the Armed Forces,” added the general.

Civil Service Institutions Closed in Iran for One Week to Contain COVID-19

All civil servants will stay off their jobs unless deemed necessary to be present at workplace.
“As of Saturday, government institutions will be closed for a week unless their presence at workplace is deemed necessary by authorities,” said Jamshid Ansari, the head of the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization.

“We urge everyone to seriously act upon this order and we want people to delay their administrative work for two weeks in order to help cut off the chain of the COVID-19 infection,” he said.

“Those who are present at work at the municipality are the ones offering urban services. Non-essential administrative departments will remain closed,” he said.

He also called on people to reduce travel within cities.

The new restriction comes as Iran remains under a partial lockdown, which began on November 21, 2020.

Under the plan, non-essential businesses remain closed and private vehicles are not allowed on the streets from 9 pm to 4 am.

Will Iran Respond to Its Scientist’s Killing Before Biden’s Inauguration?

At a time when it would be naïve to expect the United States’ number-one man (Trump) to act wisely, there are expectations that the next US president (Biden) would show more tolerance towards Iran in return for Iran showing tolerance (or as Iran’s Leader called it ‘heroic flexibility’) toward the US.

Under such circumstances, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo seek to block any paths conducive to tolerance. The extremist Israeli regime has clearly announced a policy of blocking the diplomatic channel between Iran and the United States.

The Iranian parliament speaker said in his Friday message on the assassination of Fakhrizadeh that “the path to tolerance is now closed.” But is that limited to the few remaining months in office of the Rouhani administration?

Still the obstacle created by the assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani has not been removed. And now, double-obstacles have emerged on the diplomatic path to resolving disputes between Iran and the US (or in better words, Iran and the West). And the obstacles of the 1953 Iranian coup and the 1979 Iran hostage crisis (in which the US Embassy in Tehran was captured by Iranian students and its staff members were held hostage for 444 days) are history.
Will Iran’s strategic patience foil the dark scheme engineered by Netanyahu, bin Salman and Pompeo?

The two months ahead will be determining ones for the future of Iran, the region and the world!

Iran Gives More Details of Fakhrizadeh’s Assassination Operation

Fakhrizadeh accompanied by two bodyguard vehicles arrived in Absard town east of the capital Tehran at around 2 pm local time on Friday, November 27, 2020.

His car was stopped when fires were shot one kilometer past the entrance to the town near a garden known as Sarhang. Afterwards, a Nissan pickup loaded with lumber and explosives hidden underneath blew up.

After the explosion, the street was littered with lumber within a radius of 500 metres. The pylon next to the pickup truck was also damaged by the explosion. Then terrorists who had been waiting in ambush began firing at the scientist’s car from unidentified locations. They also gunned down one of Fakhrizadeh’s bodyguards who jumped to save the scientist.

However, Fakhrizadeh was wounded in the shootout and sustained severe injuries. After the firing died down, several terrorists fled the scene. Search is underway to spot their hideout in Damavand.

Immediately after the gunfight, Fakhrizadeh was taken to a nearby clinic before being medevacked to hospital, where died of the injuries.
