UK ready to help development of Iran airport, aviation industry: Goodwill

UK is ready to help development of Iran airport and aviation industry, British Minister of State at the Department of Transport Robert Goodwill said on Sunday.

He made the remarks during his inspection tour of Iran airport and aviation facilities.

UK is ready to transfer airport and aviation knowhow to Iran and help Tehran to develop its passenger terminals, the official added.

UK Companies are ready for scientific and industrial cooperation with their Iranian counterparts, Goodwill noted.

Gholam-Hossein Baqerian, Deputy Head of Iranian Airports Companies for Planning and Control for his part welcomed UK investment in Iranian airports, saying that Isfahan, Mashhad, Tabriz, Bushehr and Ahwaz airports are on the agenda for development.

A UK delegation comprising 13 UK companies active in the field of transportation headed by Goodwill arrived in Iran on Saturday.
