Iran says has not banned imports of Covid vaccines

“According to an announcement by the National Taskforce Against the Coronavirus, the import of coronavirus vaccine is not prohibited and vaccine imports from abroad will continue if need be,” Food and Drug Administration’s head Bahram Darayi said on Monday.

“The priority of the 13th administration is to supply vaccines from domestic and foreign channels, and with the increase in domestic production, the approach of the National Taskforce Against the coronavirus is to reduce imports, and if the country’s needs are fully met with Iranian vaccines, import restrictions will be imposed,” the head of Iran’s Food and Drug Administration explained.

On Sunday, some media outlets quoted Darayi as saying that the country has banned Covid-19 vaccine imports.

Over 175 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been supplied in Iran so far out of which 156 million shots have been imported and the rest were domestically manufactured.

Snapp recently said it has employed nearly a million drivers across Iran.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency unveils Hebrew website

Majid Gholizadeh, CEO of Tasnim News Agency, said the decision was made due to the strategic importance of the Palestinian issue for the Islamic Republic of Iran and Muslims around the world despite the fact that the number of people who speak Hebrew in the world is not very high.

He referred to the dominance of a great systematic censorship of the news about the Zionist regime as well as occupied Palestine in the world.

Gholizadeh said it is an undeniable fact that not only are the people of the world deprived of receiving the news of all the facts about occupied Palestine and the crimes of the Zionists, but also the news those in the occupied territories receive is largely manipulated.

The CEO of Tasnim News Agency also spoke about the selection of the anniversary of the criminal assassination of Qasem Soleimani as the day on which the Hebrew website was unveiled. He said Haj Qasim Soleimani devoted his entire life to striving for the stability and peace for nations and to the fight against oppression in the West Asian region.

Gholizadeh noted that in that veil, Tasnim also moves in the footsteps of Haj Qassem in the region, which is freedom and justice for all people from different ethnicities, religions and tastes, and nationalities.

Nasrallah promises punishment for those behind gen. Soleimani assassination

“This is the promise of the revolutionaries and freedom seekers, and it is not only a pledge by the Iranians,” Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said during a televised speech on Monday marking the second anniversary of the assassination.

“This crime does not need to be investigated to determine its perpetrator; the United States has officially claimed responsibility for the crime,” he stated.

“Iran was the first country to stand with the Iraqi people against Daesh which was brought to the country by the United States. The security that Iraq now enjoys is all thanks to the blood of the martyrs. Martyr Soleimani protected and defended Iraq, and if Iraq enjoys good security and stability today, it owes it to the blood of the martyrs,” the Hezbollah Secretary General stated.

Nasrallah added that the Iranian general played a major role in founding Iraqi resistance groups, providing them with financial assistance, weapons, strength, hope and confidence until they forced the American troops to leave Iraq.

The January 2020 assassination of the Iranian anti-terror icon was directly ordered by former American president Donald Trump and brought Iran and the United States to the brink of war.

Iran says a complete American military withdrawal from the region is the least price that the United States will pay for the crime.

Iranian FM: Zionism to have no place in world

Amir Abdollahian made the remark in a tweet he posted in response to the Israeli foreign minister’s recent threats against Iran.

Amir Abdollahian also said the fake Israeli regime foreign minister’s confused comments against Iran are reminiscent of a famous Persian saying that goes “the camel dreams of cotton seeds, sometimes eating a mouthful, sometimes seed by seed”, which denotes an unattainable dream and is the Iranian equivalent of the English proverb “the hungry cat dreams of mice”.

Amir Abdollahian added, “We will forcefully and rationally defend the rights, interests and progress of the Iranian people.

The Zionist regime’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid last week claimed, “Israel has capabilities, some of which the world, and even some experts in the field, cannot even imagine. And Israel will protect itself against the Iranian threat”.

Tel Aviv has made many threats of military action against Iran over the past years.
Meanwhile, Iran has said it will give a crushing response to any aggression against its territory.

Iran unveils new Qiam missile with range of 1,000km

According to the report, Qiam missile has a range of 1,000 kilometers with an error range of 50 meters. The previous version of the projectile was unveiled in 2010.
AT the time, Qiam missile had a range of 800 kilometers and used liquid fuel. But in recent years, new images of the weapon have been released that show it has a detaching warhead.
Those missiles had four winglets for better guidance. But this latest version of Qiam missile had a minimum range of 100 kilometers and a maximum range of 1,000 kilometers.
Its warhead weighs 600 kilograms and it travels at a speed of 1,935 meters per second.
Qiam missile is 888 milimeters in diameter and it’s 11.846 meters long. It takes 20 minutes to prepare the projectile for launch and it weights 7,029 kilograms.
Iran has in recent years beefed up its missile might amid repeated saber-rattling by the US and the Zionist regime.

Raisi: Expanding Tehran-Yerevan economic cooperation will enhance regional security

“Expanding cooperation and economic exchanges between Tehran and Yerevan, while ensuring the interests of all parties, will certainly be a source of security,” President Raisi said during a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday.

The president stressed the need for constant communication and dialogue between the two countries at different levels.

Emphasizing Iran’s readiness to increase the volume of trade with Armenia, Raisi said the level of bilateral economic exchanges is less than the existing capacities and it is necessary for the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission to become more active and take major steps.

Raisi also stressed that Iran’s principled policy is to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries and that Tehran supports the sovereignty of Armenia over all territories and means of transportation within that country.
He said Tehran welcomes the progress in the negotiation process between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

“We hope that other issues between the two countries will be resolved peacefully within the framework of international principles and law,” he added.

The Armenian premier stressed his country’s determination to fully develop relations with Iran.

“We are determined to increase economic relations and interactions with Iran in all areas and to make the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation more active than before,” Pashinyan said.

“We are confident that by increasing the level of cooperation and bilateral coordination, we can take important steps to establish peace and security in the region,” he added.

Yemen says seized UAE vessel carrying military supplies

Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a post published on his Twitter page on Monday that Yemeni forces and their allies captured the vessel after it trespassed into Yemen’s territorial waters and was acting against the security and stability of the country.

The senior Yemeni military official added that the ship was loaded with various munitions, noting that the full details of the seizure will be made public during a press conference within the next few hours.

For his part, the spokesman for Yemen’s popular Ansarullah resistance movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, underscored that the UAE-flagged vessel was captured while it was carrying out hostile acts in Yemeni waters.

“The successful and unprecedented operation comes within the framework of the legitimate right of the Yemeni nation to confront the Saudi-led aggression and siege,” he underlined.

In September 2018, Yemeni naval forces, backed by fighters from Popular Committees, targeted a military vessel in a missile attack off the coast of the kingdom’s southwestern border region of Jizan, in response to the Riyadh regime’s atrocious military campaign against their war-ravaged homeland.

A military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Arabic-language al-Masirah television network at the time that the frigate was targeted with a guided missile.

Colonel Aziz Rashed, the deputy military spokesman for the Yemeni army, stated the attack was in retaliation for a Saudi airstrike against Yemeni fishermen off the coast of the strategic western province of Hudaydah, which killed five people.

On July 25 that year, Yemeni naval forces and their allies targeted and destroyed a Saudi military vessel in a missile attack off the coast of Hudaydah.

An unnamed military source noted the French-built Dammam frigate was targeted with a guided missile.

Back on August 12, 2017, Yemeni forces targeted a Saudi frigate with a guided missile in waters near the port city of Mukha, situated 346 kilometers south of the capital Sana’a.

On July 29 that year, 12 Emirati troopers lost their lives and 23 others sustained injuries when their frigate was targeted with a guided missile off the coast of Mukha.

An unnamed military source told Yemen’s official Saba news agency that the vessel was heavily loaded with various munitions and the missile attack caused a series of explosions that lasted for hours, before water-dropping planes could extinguish the flames.

Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a war against the Arab world’s most impoverished nation in March 2015. The war has been seeking to restore power in Yemen to Riyadh’s favorite officials.

The death toll of the war, now in its seventh year, will reach an estimated 377,000 by the end of 2021, according to a recent report from the UN’s Development Programme.

The fighting has seen some 80 percent of the population, or 24 million people, relying on aid and assistance, including 14.3 million who are in acute need.

Iran Covid deaths hit record low in nearly two years

The daily fatalities from the disease last stood at 21 on March 7, 2020.

The latest deaths push to 131,702 the Covid kill count in Iran. The daily caseload from the disease was 2,624 including 334 hospitalizations as well.

Over 120 million doses of Covid vaccine have been administered since Iran’s nationwide vaccination campaign gained steam in summer.

More than 8 million people have received their boosters as well.

Authorities credit the vaccination drive with the downward trend in Covid deaths and cases compared to several months ago when daily fatalities hit the grim 800 milestone.

Meanwhile officials are raising the alarm over the fast spread of the new variant of Covid-19, dubbed Omicron. Some experts are waring of quote Covid tsunami in case of relaxation of the health protocols.
