Iran Warns Israel: Don’t Play with Lion’s Tail

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari also warned the Israeli regime not to play the lion’s tail.

Responding to threats by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel would continue anti-Iran attacks unless Iranian advisors withdraw from Syria, Major General Jafari said Tehran would not leave Israeli threats without a response.

“Be certain that we take as empty your ridiculous threat. Be aware that profound wisdom is behind our patience in the face of your vain measures,” he noted.

Netanyahu said on Tuesday Iran should quickly withdraw its forces from Syria or be confronted with continued Israeli strikes against them.

“…  get out of there fast, because we’ll continue our forceful policy of attacking, as we promised and are doing fearlessly and relentlessly,” noted Jafari.

Earlier, Netanyahu confirmed Israel had attacked what he described “Iranian warehouses containing weapons in the Damascus international airport” over the weekend.

Netanyahu claimed that Israel had attacked Iranian and Hezbollah positions in Syria hundreds of times.

Iran Keeps Advisors in Syria

Describing Netanyahu’s threats as “ridiculous and funny”, General Jafari reiterated that Iran would keep its advisors and equipment in Syria.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will keep military, revolutionary advisors, equipment, and weapons in Syria for empowering the Islamic resistance,” IRNA quoted him as saying.

The IRGC commander underlined the Israeli regime will soon realise the reason behind Iran’s patience in the face of Tel Aviv’s moves.

“Just know that you are playing with the lion’s tail! Fear the day Iran’s pinpoint-accurate missiles hit you and take revenge for the blood of oppressed Muslims of the region,” he concluded.

Taliban Sets New Conditions for Peace Talks with Afghan Govt

Complete disarmament of two “The National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan” and “The Islamic Population of Afghanistan” is among the main conditions set by the Taliban for talks with Kabul, according to reports.

The reports on setting of new conditions by the Taliban for peace talks have not been rejected or confirmed officially. Meanwhile, there has been no reactions by the mentioned parties, a report by Fars news agency said.

The National Islamic Movement led by General Abdul Rashid Dostum, who has served as Vice President of Afghanistan and The Islamic Population of Afghanistan led by Salahuddin Rabbani, Afghanistan Foreign Minister are among the main large political parties in the war-torn country that have played a key role in the political affairs of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the two parties are the main enemies of the Taliban ruling in Afghanistan. Their role in fight against the militants were leading.

The reports come just one day after the US embassy in Kabul issued a statement saying that the US envoy Khalizad has held talks with the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, and Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah on the US next measures to press ahead with the peace process led by the Afghans.

Representatives from the Taliban, the US, and regional countries met for the fourth time last month in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi for talks to end the 17-year war in Afghanistan, but the militant group’s representatives refused to talk to the Afghan negotiating team.

Afghan President Ghani says the talks should be “Afghan-led and Afghan-owned,” insisting on continued efforts to establish a direct line of diplomatic communication with the Taliban.

Iran Condemns US for Detaining Press TV Journalist

In a Wednesday statement, Qassemi reacted to the detention of Marzieh Hashemi in the US upon her arrival in the United States, saying the Islamic Republic condemns the US government for the illegal detention of Press TV’s journalist and anchor, Marzieh Hashemi (Melanie Franklin).

“The Islamic Republic demands the US government to provide the journalist with all her basic and human rights and release her from the illegal detention immediately and without any precondition,” he said.

According to Qassemi, the unexpected detention of the Muslim citizen of America in a humiliating and inhumane manner by the US agents and harassing the respected lady are a prime example of an “Apartheid regime’s behavior towards its non-white citizens.”

He then expressed deep regret over the inhumane behavior of the US police officers towards the Press TV’s journalist and said “Ms Hashemi was on a family visit to the US when detained, and unfortunately she had no contact with the outside world for two days.”

According to Qassemi, the mistreatment of the Muslim citizen of America by the US police stands in stark violation of the human rights and citizenship rights as well as the basic rights of a Muslim woman.

“This shows that the US government is not committed to the very principles, which it uses as a pretext to attack its critics and America has turned into a dangerous place for journalists,” he said.

Press TV news anchor Hashemi has been arrested in an airport in the US city of St Louis. She has been taken to a facility in Washington DC by the FBI. Marzieh Hashemi is being held in jail without any charges. She was born in the United States and currently lives in Iran. The Muslim journalist has been working for Press TV for over a decade. Marzieh Hashemi visited the US to attend her ill brother and other relatives. She has told her family that she’s being treated like a criminal. The guards have removed her Hijab against her will and have denied her Halal food.

If you have a slim figure, then you know that “getting lost” in a saree is very easy and this is why you must very careful when making your choice so that you don’t get the wrong attire. For slim ladies, the saree recommendation should be organza, cotton and silk sarees. Such are known to give the impression of fuller figures and will work very well with slim ladies. Additionally, such ladies should always opt for sarees with lighter colors as well as those with very heavy embroidery. Brocade or beadworks will also never disappoint in sarees for slim ladies. For more uniqueness and elegance, slim ladies may opt for halter necks, backless, sleeveless or tube blouses for their sarees.

Sarees for ladies with voluptuous figures

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

If you know you are voluptuous, then tight-fitting silk and cotton sarees should never be in your mind. The best recommendation for sarees for voluptuous women should be chiffon, net fabrics, and georgette. These fabrics will easily wrap around the body and highlight your curves in the best possible way. On colors, you should go for dark colors because such is always the recommendation for ladies with big bodies. You may choose to have beadwork or embroidery, but they must not be too stiff that they will hug tightly against your body. Additionally, the saree should have a very good fall to help create the impression of you being slimmer, though you are voluptuous.

 Sarees for overweight ladies

There is no shortage of fashion for overweight ladies and as far as sarees are concerned, there is a myriad of choices to consider. To begin with, you have to be careful about the choice of the saree fabric. The general rule is that for overweight ladies, cotton and other stiff fabrics should never be in the list of the sarees. This is because they will create the impression of you looking broader and bigger than you actually are. Silk and chiffon sarees are always recommended since they have a way of creating some kind of balance in the body and drawing away attention from some parts of the body you could be having problems with.

Handloom sarees have also been known to look very nice on overweight ladies, and it is another option you should consider having on the cards. Other than choosing the right fabric if you know you are overweight, you must also consider how you are going to drape the saree around your body since this is going to make a great deal of difference on your appearance. You can opt for long blouses with short sleeve since they will help to conceal some of the flaps. Just be sure to try out different types for various looks and go with the ones you feel great in.

Sarees for women with apple-shaped bodies

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

Women have apple-shaped bodies if they are heavy around the stomach and the bust region. For such body types, sarees with beautiful embroidery will always do the trick and will bring out a unique charm of elegance. It is also recommended that you go for longer blouses to cover the waist and any other problem areas you may be having around the same body region. As an alternative, you can consider wrapping your saree a little higher to conceal the problems around the waist region. The fabric you should go for is silk and you must always avoid sarees in net. On the blouses, go for ones whose colors contract that of the saree so that you can create a nice dramatic effect.

Sarees for women with pear shapes

Choosing the Perfect Saree for Your Body Type: Tips from the Pros

Pear-shaped bodies are characterized by a lighter upper body relative to the heavier lower body. It means that they appear heavier at the bottom compared to the top. The recommended saree fabric for such should be georgette and chiffon since these would help to create a balance between the lower and upper bodies. Such a body type is never ideal for mermaid cuts since such would bring more attention to the lower body and this is never necessary. Bold and bright colors will work best, and you will also have a good result when you go for sarees with small prints or those with beautiful borders.

Even though there are no charges against her, Hashemi informed family members of mistreatment at the detention centre. She said her hijab had been removed against her will, and that she was being treated as a criminal.

UN Official Praises Iran’s Role in Global Body

In an address to the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition co-organised by the UN and Iran in the northwestern province of Kermanshah on Monday, Maria Dotsenko referred to the importance of Iranian nation’s status in the UN and said the Iranian nation has always been seeking to sympathise with other nations.

She then referred to a poem the Persian poet inscribed on the entry of the UN saying that the poem reveals the philanthropic nature of Iranian nation.

Elsewhere in her statements, Dotsenko pointed to the peace-making efforts by the Iranians throughout history and said as Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made it clear during his latest UN speech on the urgency to create a world free from violence and terrorism, the Iranians have always been seeking to create peace and reconciliation with the outside world.

She also referred to the regular visit of the Iranian presidents to the UN over the past several years and said the idea of the dialogue of civilisations was raised first by one of Iranian presidents in his speech to the UN.

The UN officials thanked Kermanshah’s provincial officials for organising the exhibition and made a tour of the exhibition after officially inaugurating it.

The photo exhibition puts on display 66 significant photos and documents provided by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Ministry, Institute for Iranian Contemporary Historical Studies and the UN Information Centre in Tehran on the continuous cooperation between Tehran and the UN over the past years. Each photo is helpful by itself for any Iranian researchers working on the political science and international relations.

The exhibition includes some historical photos of leading Iranian figures, who played a role in the establishment of the United Nations as well as the visit of the seven UN secretary generals to Iran and some plans implemented by the UN in Iran.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective Stories

Sadiq Mamqoli, is the first detective and criminal novel of Iran, which was published in 1925 during Reza Shah’s rule. The novel is known as Iranian Sherlock Holmes. It was published 20 years after the first translation of Sherlock Holmes into Farsi.

This work was written by Mirza Kazem Khan Mosta’an and recently was reprinted by Mania Honar publications after being edited by Mahdi Ganjavi and Mehrnaz Mansouri.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective StoriesThe protagonist of this Iranian novel is a sheriff known as Sadiq Mamqoli. He never uses magic to solve the issues and rather solves the mysteries with the help of his intelligence and in a rational method. At the end, Sadiq Mamqoli comes to a conclusion that really surprises the readers. The chief of the thieves is a young girl who has rebelled to avenge the tyranny of government agents. In this way, the writer also criticises the Qajar dynasty. This story is one of the first attempts to create an Iranian detective literary work that has used native atmosphere very well.

Recently, a book called “Sherlock Holmes is Like” has been published. The book is a collection of articles about detective storytelling characters and their relationship with Sherlock Holmes, which is compiled by Christopher Redmond, a member of the Sherlock Holmes Fans Association.

Story of Iranian Sherlock Holmes Published in Collection of World Detective StoriesRedmond contributed the part, which talks about Sherlock Holmes impact on Iranian literature, to Navid Farrokh.

“My job was to compare Sherlock Holmes with its Iranian model in my article,” Navid Farrokhi said in an interview with the Iranian Book News Agency (IBNA).

“The characters were similar to those of Sherlock Holmes. As the name suggests, the author of the first Iranian detective novel is clearly influenced by the early translations of Sherlock Holmes in Iran, and his character is similar to Sherlock in many respects. Undoubtedly, the existence of an Iranian literary character in this collection is really interesting,” he added.
