Known as “the birds’ paradise”, Miankaleh in the northern Iranian province of Mazandaran attracts many migratory birds every year.
Miankaleh is a peninsula at the south-eastern end of Caspian Sea. It is located 12 km northeast of Behshahr city. The peninsula has been defined as a conservation area since half a century.
