Storks are among the migratory birds that come to the city of Marivan in western Iran every year in mid-spring.
Darreh Taghi village in Marivan, Kurdistan province, hosts about 300 white storks; while Bilo village hosts about 400 and Gholgholeh village hosts about 70 pieces of this species.
After migrating from the southern, warm regions, the storks start to nest and breed in the villages around the stunning lake of Zrebar.
