The seventh festival of Tulips is underway in Karaj, the capital of Alborz province west of Tehran, featuring 300,000 tulips of 16 species.
This year, due to the rising rainfall in April and different weather conditions the tulips have blossomed later.
The event, which is being held in the flower garden of Shahid Chamran Park, has started on April 4th and will run for as long as the flowers are fresh.
