Every year in April, farmers of Mazandaran province in northern Iran start preparing their rice fields for transplantation of the seedlings.
Rice cultivation includes a number of difficult steps: preparing the land, providing quality rice seedlings, building rice warehouse, moving the seedlings from warehouse to the farm, etc.
Today there are two methods for rice farming: traditional (manual) and automatic (mechanized).
Rice fields are tourist sites per se, and it’s a joy to watch how the rice is planted.
