Iran’s Qom province has a wonderful scenery these days after record rainfall during this spring ended a water crisis that lasted almost a decade and led to drought and a sharp decline in underground water levels.
The province’s plains and roadsides, once arid and barren, are now covered in green with various plants growing all over them.
Meteorological experts say that the volume of rainfall has been unprecedented in 32 years. However, they still forecast a hot summer for Qom, so here’s hoping that the greenery can survive the heat.
