Iran’s natural wonder: Mud volcano in north

Naftalijeh mud volcano is one of the natural places of Golestan province, which is located in Gomishan city in the east of the Caspian.

The mud volcano is a short distance from Bandar-e Torkman in northern Iran.

It is often seen in pink color and has a height of 8 meters and a diameter of 500 meters. There is a small lake on top of Naftalijeh mud volcano and salty water with gas and clay gushing out from its mouth with pressure and high density.
