Special ceremonies are annually held in central Iran where rosewater is extracted and babies are rolled through rose petals to stay immune to disease.
In early May, Qamsar and Niasar near Kashan welcome an influx of tourists who travel to these central Iranian towns to watch rosewater extraction from flower petals.
Along with rosewater extraction, locals hold another traditional service during which babies are showered and covered with roses so that, according to ancient beliefs, they are protected against different disease.
