Zekra Alwach, the female mayor of Baghdad, has visited a number of historical places and cultural heritage sites in a half-day tour of Tehran.
During her visit to Tehran’s District 12, Alwach visited the National Museum, Golestan Palace, Tehran bazaar, Oudlajan bazaar, and the remains of a 7,000-year-old woman discovered in southern Tehran.
After the visit, Alwach said Iran’s historical sites are ‘very attractive’ and ‘valuable’. She also referred to Tehran as an orderly and huge city with 7,000 years of history.
“One can see interesting examples of historical and valuable works in Tehran’s museums,” she went on to say, according to a Farsi report by IRNA.
