The Iranian capital is to host the second edition of an international gathering of Parliament speakers from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, China and Russia on fight against terrorism and expansion of inter-regional ties.
During the conference, which is to be held Friday and Saturday (December 6 and 7) in Hotel Azadi in Tehran, several issues will be discussed, including fight against terrorism, past experiences, current strategies, adoption of new and efficient regional approaches, expansion of communications, strengthening regional cooperation, and restoring peace and multilateral development in the region.
On Saturday, Pakistan’s parliament speaker as the first head of the inter-parliamentarian gathering will hand over the leadership of the conference to his Iranian counterpart after delivering a short speech.
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and his counterparts from the participating states will also deliver speeches during the conference.
The first conference of Parliament speakers attended by delegates from the six countries was held last year in Islamabad.
