Breading silkworm in order to produce silk, which is called Noqan-dari in Iran, has a long history in the country's north-western region.
People of Osku in East Azarbaijan province, north-western Iran, have been producing silk using the worms of berry tree since 600 years ago.
All the stages of silk production are done in place; from silkworm breeding and thread spinning to printing the designs on the fabrics and scarfs.
