The three-day National Purebred Horse Festival was kicked off in the Iranian central city of Meybod, Yazd province, on Wednesday, August 24.
According to a report by IRNA, as translated by IFP, the 20th edition of the beauty festival was held with dozens of purebred Arab horses of Iran in attendance.
On the sidelines of the festival, the 13th edition of National Ikaho Horse Race in Class C was also held, with 175 horses competing with each other in three days.
50% of purebred Arab horses of Iran are kept in Yazd province, which has the first rank in Iran and is the main centre for breeding horses of this type.
Meybod is located 50km north of the city of Yazd.
