Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has pledged to retaliate against those who launched two deadly raids on the capital city of Tehran on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Revolution Guards announced “it has proved in the past that it will take revenge for all innocent blood shed.”
“The IRGC guarantees to safeguard the national security of Iran and pledges not to hesitate a moment to protect the lives of the Iranian people”, said the statement.
Meanwhile, deputy head of Iran’s Revolution Guards, Brigadier General Hossein Salami, and Mohsen Rezaei, the secretary of the Iran’s Expediency Council and a former IRGC commander, also promised to take revenge for Tehran deadly attacks.
Earlier, Brigadier General Mohammad Hossein Nejat, the Deputy Head of the IRGC’s Intelligence Department, said that the terrorists, and those whom they take orders from, will pay a heavy price.
The Wednesday terrorist attack on the Iranian Parliament and a simultaneous raid on the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran claimed the lives of 13 and wounded at least 46 people.
