Arezoo Zaredar, a young Iranian architect, has managed to receive the American Architecture Prize (AAP) in the field of Architectural Design and Educational Buildings.
Elaborating on her plan, Zaredar said the building design draws on a combination of open and closed spaces. “In my plan, the closed spaces are interconnected with each other with the aim of creating a diverse space enjoying the sunlight.”
She further cited flexibility as one of the main features of her building design and said the plan includes a number of large and small spaces, each of which are designed for students with special needs who are suffering from certain physical problems.
“The diverse sizes of the open and closed spaces provide the whole system with an opportunity to survive,” she noted.
The American Architecture Prize has turned into one of the most respected awards in the industry and aims to showcase the phenomenal talent and vision displayed by architects all over the world. AAP winners have their work showcased to a worldwide audience, receive the AAP trophy, and enjoy extensive publicity throughout a year.
Back in 2015, Zaredar had managed to win the prestigious International Design Awards (IDA) as the “Phenomenal Talent” of year.
The International Design Awards are a group of awards that recognize, celebrate and promote design visionaries and emerging talent in architecture, interior, product, graphic and fashion design.
