Iran Hosts First Edition of Silk Road Rally

The first edition of Iran Silk Road Rally was recently held on parts of the ancient Road in Semnan province, central Iran.

During the two-day event, which started on Thursday, participants from more than 15 Iranian provinces drove a 200-kilometre distance from desert to mountain. The race started from the Rig-e Jenn Desert in Garmsar County.

It is a vast area of sand dunes in the middle of Dasht-e Kavir, Iran’s central desert in the border region of Semnan and Isfahan provinces.
