Firefighters have managed to put out the flames that were raging in the forest near Marivan, in the western Iranian province of Kordestan.
Three helicopters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the inferno.
The initial estimates prove that 450 hectares of land were burned in the blaze.
A top environment official said on Saturday the fire definitely had a human cause, saying an investigation is underway to find if it was deliberate or unintentional.
The forest fires in Marivan two weeks ago, had left several people injured.
