The 16th edition of International Police, Safety, and Security Equipment Exhibition (IPAS 2017) is underway in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

Several Iranian and foreign companies have put on display their latest products at the exhibition, which was kicked off on October 16 and will be underway until October 19.

29 countries are reportedly attending the four-day event, according to Mehr News Agency.

Last year some 302 companies, from Iran and 27 other countries, participated in the exhibition.

This year 25 percent of the companies participating in the exhibition are showcasing their domestically produced equipment. The event is significantly promoting domestic production.
