Head of the Center for Strategic Research of Iranˈs Expediency Council, Ali-Akbar Velayati said here on Friday that the Syrian presidential elections would strengthen the legitimacy of the countryˈs President Bashar Al-Assad.
Speaking exclusively with IRNA, Velayati referred to the Syrian presidential election, which is set to be held on June 3.
He stressed that the important elections will be crashing response to the hostility of certain countries and the opponent sides of the Syrian government and nation.
Like many other countries and international institutions, Iran has decided to dispatch a parliamentary delegation to Syria to supervise the Syrian presidential elections, he added.
