The managing editor of Iran’s Tose’e-Jonoub daily has been shot dead by an unidentified assailant in the southern province of Khuzestan.
Iranian media reported on Saturday that Akbar Limouchi was at a coffee shop in the city of Izeh when the attacker drove by and opened fire on him.
No further detail has been reported so far.
An investigation has been launched by police to identify the murderer and the motivation behind the killing.
