Iranians on shopping sprees as countdown to Persian New Year begins

With the Persian New Year, Nowruz, just around the corner, Iranians go on shopping sprees and spend much time outdoors at bazaars and markets.

Citizens, shopkeepers and street vendors are all as busy as a bee as the countdown to the New Year has already begun.

And the old bazaar at Tajrish square in northern Tehran is one of the major hubs of shopping this time around every year.
