Iranian City of Khalkhal Blanketed in Snow

The city of Khalkhal in Iran’s northwestern Ardabil province is covered with snow while many other parts of Iran are spending an unprecedentedly dry winter.

The beautiful red mountains of Khalkhal, which remind every visitor of the US Arizona’s Rocky Mountains, are now covered with snow, creating a very fascinating scene.
