Iran tourism: Sahoolan water cave, West Azerbaijan Province

Sahoolan is a cave in a village with the same name located 42 kilometers southeast of the city of Mahabad, in Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province.

The cave is on the road linking Borhan to Isa Kandu village between Mahabad and the city of Bookan in northwestern Iran.

There’s a lake inside the cave that is 60 meters deep in its deepest part. Limestone icicles and birds are among the natural attractions of this cave, attracting many tourists.
