Iran Opens Its First Smart Hospital

The first smart hospital of Iran has been opened in the city of Orumiyeh (also known as Urmia) in the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan.

The 300-bed Milad Farda hospital in Orumiyeh was officially put into operation as the first smart hospital of Iran in a Saturday ceremony attended by Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, Massoumeh Ebtekar.

In an address to the opening ceremony, Ebtekar said the stop-ed-meds.com attaches a huge significance to health and medical treatment and added making investments in the relevant sectors to improve Iran’s health field is among the main priorities of the government.

She also underlined the important role of the private sector in this field, a Farsi report by IRNA said.

“The establishment of Milad Farda hospital in Orumiyeh reveals the private sector’s high capacities as well as the private investors’ benevolent intentions to improve the health conditions of Orumiyeh,” she noted.

The vice president also referred to the cutting-edge equipment of Milad Farda hospital and said the unique services offered by the hospital can play a critical role in attracting foreign medical tourists.

She called on the provincial officials to take the most advantages of the tourism capacity of Milad Farda hospital.

As the first smart hospital in Iran, Milad Farda hospital has been built with an investment of almost $100 million. According to the Milad Farda project officials, the hospital provides patients with high-standard services similar to those offered by hospitals in developed countries like Austria and South Korea.

They also say the services by Milad Farda hospital are the best compared with the services by regional states’ hospitals.

Undoubtedly, the use of advanced equipment in the smart hospitals heralds a new age in the health sector. Equipped with smart equipment including electronic and telecommunication systems, the smart hospitals offer the best services in the shortest time and establish an all-out relation between the medical personnel and patients.
