TEHRAN – Ali Akbar Salehi, director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), announced on Wednesday that the first lab equipped with quantum technology research facilities is working in Iran.
Speaking at a ceremony to unveil a new achievement in the field of quantum technology, Salehi said the lab is the first of its kind in West Asia and the Islamic world.
He said quantum technology is used in different areas including communications, computing, biology, sensors and simulation.
Salehi also expressed the hope that Iranian experts be able to make rapid progresses in the field of quantum technology.
